This is a cute café over on Northwest Blvd that’s run by the sweetest lady. I found it by looking at a Facebook post highlighting the best places to eat in Spokane. It’s kind of funny because Ephata is a Greek word that means«open», but there is nothing Greek about the place. It is a combination coffee shop/bakery/juice bar/Korean restaurant. I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it when we walked in. It’s super cute and small. It’s very clean and decorated modern. It just made me laugh that it was such an unexpected combination of foods. You can get coffee and croissants or healthy smoothies or homemade Korean food. It was awesome! The food did not disappoint. I had a Korean Bulgogi Beef Wrap(to die for!), my daughter had the Shrimp Udon Noodle Bowl and husband got a Korean rice bowl. We all enjoyed what we’d ordered. Everything tasted very fresh. We will definitely be back! I hope this place does well because the customer service was great and I like to see local places succeed.

Needed a quick lunch and am so happy I stopped in. Having the bulgogi wrap: very fresh ingredients and great portion size. So coming back!

I had the Hurricane smoothie and it was fantastic! I can’t wait to try some of the food as the menu looks delicious and the aroma of food that hits you when you walk in is amazing. Can’t wait to try again!

By the way, I stopped in for a latte and a breakfast sandwich, and both were excellent! My only word of caution is that if you’re looking for food at «fast food speed,» you won’t get that here. I am fine with that, as it tells me they are actually making it fresh, but don’t come here 10 minutes before work and expect to be in and out. That probably won’t happen. The food is good enough to wait for, anyway.

«The quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.» Ephata creates great food, BUT that’s not why I’m writing this review. One of the baristas is a former classmate from college, but that’s not why I’m writing this review. Thing is, I’m lazy, and unless a place either impresses the socks off me or REALLY ticks me off, I won’t write a review. With a 5 star, I’m sure you guessed it’s the latter. Why? I started coming here when the power went out(I’m an internet marketer, it’s my lifeblood). After coming a few days in a row, Sonia gave me a free slice of quiche they are planning to add to the menu. BOOM!!! Insta-win. Insta-review. Insta-customer-for-life. If you’d rather get plain-Jane coffee and leave, there’s ½ a dozen other shops you can try finding the lowest price. If you like Korean food, natural/organic café foods, or java drinks in their plethora of varieties, check this place out. Oh, and if you see this review on another site, it may be because I’m lazy ;).

So incredible! I tried their Bi-Bim-Bap. It was so good and you can taste the authenticity in it. If I lived in Spokane I would come here as much as possible!

This place is great & super healthy! They have wonderful coffee & fresh organic juices! There breakfast bagels are very delicious as well! One of my favorite little spots in Spokane! They bring your food and beverage out when it’s done & they also let me have my puppy with me in the outside sitting area!

This place is great! Super fresh and healthy. Vegan pastries. Korean food. Juice bar. They have it all, for great prices too! Had the Korean rice bowl with brown rice.

Very good. The juice was great and priced right. We also had a chicken salad sandwich, which was one of the best I’ve had. We have tried several juice places in the area in the past month or so and this had been my favorite and better priced. I know we will definitely go back!

This is a perfect spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or just for a smoothie/coffee/tea. The people working there are extremely friendly and the food is freshly prepared and quick. The portions are generous and it is all pretty inexpensive. It’s just a very simple easy meal spot. The place itself is really cute and clean.

I ordered the Korean lettuce wrap(tofu) and it was good. The service was fast as well. My only complain is that the tables were not clean. We had to wipe it ourselves. I will definitely eat here again whenever I’m in the area. I like simple food with fresh ingredients.

Ephata means«open» in Greek, they said. Been meaning to try this place for some time and am very happy we did. Charming décor, clean and modern facilities, excellent service. Having just had coffee elsewhere, we had the following: FOOD Korean Rice Bowl with Korean beef(bulgogi) Korean Lettuce Wrap with Korean Beef Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie Their Korean Beef, the bulgogi, was so tender, juicy, and seasoned wth a faintly sweet teriyaki type sauce. This wonderful meat did well in both the rice bowl and the wrap. Both Ephata Signature dishes mentioned above included brown rice, and a choice of fresh fruit, kim chee, or broccoli salad. The brown rice was cooked perfectly, moist yet tender. The PB&J was a creamy, tasty, and balanced. fruit smoothie. Have to say the accompanying Broccoli Salad side was just about a three bite serving, just enough to add interest to the delicious lettuce wrap meal. However, the simple fruit salad was enough to satisfy and round out the rice bowl. Took home a slice of gluten free banana bread that hubby enjoyed immensely. Service was friendly and very warm. Free parking in lot right off to thewest side of the building.

A good variety on the menu, along with some great smoothies. In the bakery case they have things such as vegan muffins and sweet treats. They serve indaba coffee, which is a nice treat although I thought it was a little expensive.(7 $ for a coffee and muffin) The mung bean pancake is good, and Ive also had the soup which is good. Definitely fresh ingredients. A very clean environment too. Would recommend if your in the area, but don’t make it a daily coffee stop or your wallet will feel the pain :)

Love, love this place. Great food, great drinks and great service. My goal is to try everything on the menu since it all looks so good. So far favorites are the Korean beef rice bowl, chicken salad sandwich and the pineapple-zucchini bread. Just go!

We saw this listed on Unilocal a week ago and decided to give it a try today. Very friendly and inviting little place. Comfortable seating. Very helpful staff, we asked a lot of questions and received helpful answers. Food was hot, freshly prepared, looked appealing and was very very good! We also tried their Banana muffin(vegan), they heated it perfectly and was delicious. I also had the Hurricane smoothie which I enjoyed. We will be going back for sure.

The fruit smoothies are delicious. I’ve been here several times for those alone. The décor and ambience are very low-key and I intend to make it back here to try the lunch menu. From the menu it looks like they accommodate diners with all sorts of tastes as there are some vegetarian and gluten-free items listed.

Good coffee from Indaba. Good atmosphere. In here at 7:00 someone ordered a juice and the gal behind the counter gave us leftover juice to demo. Enjoyed that :)

Very affordable and yummy! It has a charming atmosphere and very pretty and friendly baristas! It is my first time in Spokane and it is the best café in town! They have fresh baked goods that are DELICIOUS! Great place to hang out or study too. I would highly recommend the almond cranberry muffin.
