In Washington state, where The Man has a tighter hold on alcohol sales than a junkyard dog with a bone, some of us are jonesing for better booze sales. For those lucky enough to by yours from Costco or Sam’s Club you know what I am talking about here! I want choices and I want it for cheap!
Oasis Refreshing Beverages next to the Quizno’s and in front of Fatz is one answer to my dilemma. Yes– it is in Spartanburg, SC, but now you know.
The store has two sides– liquor and wine. The liquor side was impressive and I was able to score some Firefly vodka. The wine side is less impressive but one of the first places that had more California wines than several other stores I had been in. I was able to find a bottle of Chalone at a reasonable price. The woman behind the counter assured me that if I did not find something I was looking for the owner would be happy to help.
