My husband loves this place and joined-​so he goes twice a month.
He’s happy I’m happy we think our $ 700 or whatever we paid is well worth the money.
He has Kimberly as his go to lady-​she is awesome. Soon to get her barbers license too. She is very attentive.
We have 2 sons in college and we treat them to any Boardroom when they are home, which they l o v e.
Very reliable service-​and who doesn’t love the free beer too;)

Big fan of this place. Kim does a fantastic job. If you have the time, go with a Benchmark instead of the Express. Its a few more bucks, but totally worth it. You get a good massage, a hand treatment, and of course a full cut and shampoo. I have never once seen someone playing pool, but the table at least looks cool (I’m being optimistic). The lounge area is very comfortable. The offer free beers, coffee, and water bottles; love that. I will keep coming here as long as Kim is there.

Took my brother here and got both of us the Benchmark.
First the Positives:
–Just about everything.
–Great service.
–The best hair cuts we’ve ever had.
–From the free beer and coozy, to the wax hand treatment, to the warm towel, arm and massage. It was great.
–Nice barber as well.
–It is expensive, but for what you get it’s well worth it. I used to spend almost that much JUST getting a hair cut at Ulta.
Now the very few negatives:
–The water was kind of cold that was used to wash and shampoo the hair.
–The front desk girl wasn’t the most charming person. I’d want a little more «I’m happy to be here, and happy you’re here» kind of attitude, when walking into a high-​end joint.
Will we be back?
Heavens yes.
I’ll be back for the Benchmark again. I also want to get a beard trim and perhaps use some of the spa services.

Good haircut but they rush through it. The haircut was 20 minutes and the shampoo was 30 seconds. She didn’t even blow all the loose hairs off of me. For a high end place that charges $ 40 for just a haircut, I expected more. My hair looked nice but I go to Floyds 99 in flower mound with Lesley and get a head massage, steamy towel with tea tree oil aromatherapy, razor shave on neck, haircut and shoulder massage for $ 24. And it takes 45 min or so. I like the concept but they need to up the quality of service a bit to earn my business.

I surprised hubby across with the traditional hot lather shave, as he just completed a really hard semester at UTA, along with working full-​time.
I scheduled the appointment via Ruby, online and it was easy as pie. His appointment was for 7:00pm Monday night and due to the rain, we arrived late. I called about 20 minutes til 7pm and advised of our delay. We arrived around 7:13pm and his shave artist MacKenzie was ready and waiting.
He started with a complimentary Shiner Bock and was escorted to a private room. Several hot towels, hot lather and massage oil minutes later, the straight razor shave began. They first shave in the growth direction of the hair, then more hot towels and oils, then shave against the growth. The hot lather was very relaxing and the shave was the closest shave he’s ever had. He said MacKenzie kept running her hands over his face and making corrections as she discovered them. She finished with a regular razor as his beard is very stiff and it was more comfortable for him.
I was quite pleased to find that MacKenzie stayed and completed the entire hour-​long service despite his late arrival. We both expected a shorter experience, totally our fault, and were thrilled to be treated to the whole deal!
He entered the salon as a stressed out man (because he hates being tardy) and emerged a smooth shaven, relaxed and happy guy, ready to dig into all-​you-​can-​eat Florida Stone Crabs, at Truluck’s, which was part II of date night.
Girls, if you really want to treat your man to some serious relaxation, head over here, drop him off and pick him up later, when he is a puddle of bliss!
Thanks to all of the employees for really making this an experience he won’t soon forget.
Total cost was $ 55 plus gratuity.

Not overly impressed w/​this place.
I guess it started w/​my entrance. The girl at the front desk, just seemed indifferent to me being there. Guess I expected a warm greeting at such a high end place.
The girl that cut my hair was nice enough, and did a pretty good job on the cut. But it’s the other other little things that they didn’t do. Like using a straight razor for my neck. They will do it, but at an up charge. For a $ 55 haircut, I think there is enough charge already! And then the overall «cleanup», such as ear trimming and the like. Nothing… I’ll have to go home and use my grooming gear to «cleanup» what they didn’t. Again, for $ 55 just a let down.
I was really hoping to like this place. Sadly disappointed!

I would like to share what a horrible experience I had today in the southlake location. I came in as a walk in @ 2:05 pm. The lady at the front desk with her hair in a bun said it would be a 30 min wait for a, cut and shave. I went next door to grab a bite to eat and came back at 2:25 to be on time .I waited. another customer came in was offered a beer .then he was serviced ahead of me. Ok I thought maybe a fluke. Then it was 2:50 still waiting another pair came in and they get called to be serviced. Now I’m very upset. I was not offered a drink. people twice went ahead of me. I get up to leave and no questions asked or anything from the receptionist. Poor service. Now I get home and get an email showing I cancelled my appt at 3:00 and 3:30. I was never told that my appt was for an hour after I arrived nor that my shave was after that. I think the receptionist was trying to cover her behind. It was my first and last time there. Unfortunately for both I was looking to join the club based on my experience today. Now I have nothing but a poor opinion of this location.

Horrendous.
I typically get the sides buzzed with a 5 and a short trim on top. They failed to shave the back leaving me with what appeared to be a mullet. At the end of it all, I was charged four times the price I usually pay for what I view as a fairly simple haircut.
The Boardroom desperately attempts to set itself apart from your average barbershop, giving them the excuse to charge obscene rates. Sadly, what set them apart for me was the remarkably bad haircut I was given.
Never again.

I had a negative experience with this place, but the manager asked me to give them one more try, so I did. This time everything went perfectly well. It was actually one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a while. The woman who cut my hair did a great job. As far as the rest of the place goes, I like the décor and the staff was quite friendly.

Wow what a great experience. I have never received such a great haircut. The level of experience and technical ability was surprising. The only thing better was the fantastic staff at the Boardroom. Alexa, my stylist was an upbeat and friendly young lady supported by a great management staff. Sonya, her manager, was very helpful in pointing out how to best style my type of hair… just learned I had a type.
Very knowledgeable, highly competent, and incredibly personal service made for the best haircut experience I have had. Already scheduled my next appointment with Alexa.

A haircut is not just a haircut here, it is an experience. I have less hair than I used to and started going to those mow and blow places. Happened to be in Town Square and stopped in for a cut — now I have to admit $ 50 for a hair cut rocked me a bit, but decided to give it a go. I got Ricky (Riki, Rikki) — and it was an hour of pure bliss — washed hair, hot towel on face with massage, hands dipped in hot wax and massaged. Then a cut… that looked professional versus the just out of barber college at the other places. We are worth it — go and drop off into the best legal hour of your life — with a style from here. They have an annual plan that gives you unlimited cuts — am considering that myself if I don’t move.

Started going to the Boardroom out of frustration with all of the «sports places», quicky cuts, etc… I got a different person every time with a different level of experience and often had to wait.
The Boardroom was completely different. I am always in the chair within minutes of my set time, I have a regulare stylists who REMEMBERS how I want it done, they show a skill set you don’t find many places and they make you feel like home.
Haircuts used to be a chore, now they are a quiet break from reality. Great cuts, refreshments, relaxing atmosphere, no wierd sounds/​odors and great cuts.
You will spend a smidge more here but dang well worth it. I know my family, clients and professional partners like it because I don’t get the «who cut your hair jokes» anymore.

Getting a haircut at The Boardroom is one of the best experiences a guy can have. The stylists are nice and genuine and good at what they do. The atmosphere is warm, upscale and masculine. I really get a sense that the people who work there must be treated well because they all seem to be having a great time every time. Most places I’ve ever gotten my hair cut made me feel out of my element. The staff and environment at The Boardroom just makes me feel comfortable.

The atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was A+. The cut was good quality, and the staff was professional. It was easy to make an appointment, because they were very flexible and accommodating. They aren’t bargain cheap but a reasonable value for what you get and a little under the top places.

Had a wonderful experience at the Board Room — get The Benchmark — it’s worth every penny! I also did the «Foot Grooming» which is manly for a pedicure. Hadn’t had one before but will be making this a regular experience now.
