Amazing full body workout. Targets women’s trouble spots and works muscles I forgot I had. Love the Barre and the ladies that teach. An excellent workout well worth your time

A great experience every time! The instructors are extremely helpful in getting us all in the exact position for maximum workout. The workout is addictive and never gets easy, which is what I am looking for. I have always been a runner and this class is teaching me about all around lifting, toning and burning. 55 minutes goes by quickly as each and every part of the body is stretched and used. The staff at this location is friendly and personable.

Like other reviewers have said, I feel Pure Barre is the ideal workout for a woman’s physique. At my peak of attending 4 times/week(prior to going back to work), my body looked better than ever: my arms were thin yet toned, my seat was lifted yet still curved, my stomach was flat yet still soft and my legs, especially my calves and outer thighs were defined. Even now that I attend around 2 times a week, I’m able to maintain a healthy looking body. As a former dancer, I love the movements and I get the same feeling I had after a dance class(feeling long and lean yet toned). I have had other work-out fads before but, Pure Barre is something that I will continue forever. It truly never gets old and the feeling after class is amazing. Pure Barre Southlake I enjoy specifically because they value technique. I’ve been to other locations where they aren’t as technique oriented and I leave feeling shorted. The team of instructors here truly care about giving you a great work-out and take one-on-one time with you to help you during almost every class. While they do have a social element, their true focus is on Pure Barre and that’s what I appreciate and go back for. Even though the classes can be expensive, I promise they are worth every penny. After a few classes, you will be hooked. My body craves Pure Barre and I’m so fortunate that I went to Pure Barre Southlake first so I could learn and appreciate great technique.

I have been active my entire life — but nothing has really changed the shape of my body like pure barre. I like that it is timely(just 1 hour) and it hits all areas that need toning. I noticed results in two weeks(and I was working retail at that point and trying on clothes daily). I moved from Austin early last year and was missing my routine and my yoga studio that I had been a member of for years(that had also helped me get in shape for my wedding). I came to pure barre on a whim with my friend and it was literally life-changing. I am in better shape now than when I got married(and I just tried on my dress the other day to confirm). I found a community of women who were focused, and committed to working hard(because it IS A HARDWORKOUT). It does not matter how long you have been going — you will still get corrected on form! I know every work out is not for everyone, but Pure Barre is really a great workout for women. I love this studio because of the atmosphere(and I love all of the teachers). Working out will always be hard — but this will get you the results if you put the work in.

Pure Barre is the single best workout for a woman’s physique. Period. If you are wanting a cinched waist, high seat, and sculpted legs and arms, this workout is for you! The instructors are top– notch, trained and certified by the best of the best, to give each and every client a hard-core, whether a long– time or first– timers a complete, total body work out, each and every class! I’m a believer after 2 years at Pure Barre Southlake my seat sets higher and my legs and arms are slimmer. Not to mention: my waist is tinier than ever. My husband is happy & I am beyond thrilled!

first of all, disregard the crazy lady who posted a review before me. clearly there are some jealousy issues there. this review will actually be about southlake pure barre and not about the people who take classes there :) i just tried my first class and was very impressed! i have a background in dance and have been interested in trying pure barre for awhile but finally bit the bullet. 55 mins goes by super fast and you genuinely get a total body workout. there wasnt an exercise where i couldnt feel what was being worked. instructor was great and made sure to help me correct my form. i took advantage of the new member special and im excited to go to my next class!

The bar method of fitness is amazing.truly. Unfortunately the Pure Barre in Southlake Texas is owned and managed by a super witch. She’s awful. Handing over money to a scowling, rude, obviously very unhappy, ego crazed(although really gorgeous on the outside) woman is just more than I can handle. Honestly, I didn’t quite seem to meet the requirement of this place. Even the pregnant women in the class were scarey skinny. When the 1 and 3 pound weights were busted out, I should have known… I can’t feel 1 to 3 pound weights. I almost threw them across the room because you can’t feel that in your hands. Seriously, there were women who were struggling with 1 pound weights. Because they had not eaten anything since 1993 and were near death maybe? I would have stuck it out with my big butt making a scene in a room of angry(hungry?) anorexics, if the owner had not been so bitter. Later, after I decided that I should probably go back to the gym, where I could really get back into shape, I realized that Pure Barre advertises building a bigger butt! Maybe that was the problem. I have a big, high, round butt already. I wondered why the instructor kept telling me to tuck it in. tuck it in! I told her it was tucked in, then pulled my shirt up and showed her how hard I was squeezing in my Kim K, and really. she looked shocked. If flat cheeked, starving girls want a butt, I suggest they eat more protein, and do some squats at the gym. Better yet, eat, drink, be merry, and go for long walks. Foodless, angry, skinny women trying to create curves by doing ballet bar is truly insane(Black Swan). The moves are not difficult, and if you have had any dance training, you will understand the purpose. It will sculpt by activating the smaller accessory muscles and the utilization of repetition will fatigue muscles and increase metabolism. I seriously walked out of there thinking I might need to go drink several margeritas to recuperate. It’s a pretty good, no a really good workout. I felt ill for two days after, and could barely walk. I was out of shape at the time, so that’s a good sign. I say, yes. If you get the chance. try a bar method workout. I say yes, visit a Pure Barre and try it. But, unless you want to be treated like a leper by an anorexic Cruella Deville… skip the Southlake Location. And remember… if you want a nice shelf of yoga butt. do some yoga… and eat something already. Starvation is by women, for women, and not pretty… Men prefer women who look like women. The one’s who don’t, secretly prefer young boys. More important: strong, healthy, confident women appreciate their own curves, and love themselves. Think on it… and avoid carbs.
