Best hole in the wall Chinese in the Mid Cities! Orange chicken is my favorite, I’ve been ordering from/going to Golden China for 15 years and I won’t go anywhere else for my Chinese food cravings!

Had a delivery to my house and on the phone i made my order very clear and saying multiple times no meat and the person taking my order assured me that my order had no meat, i order the lo mein with tofu, and then the fried cheese wontons, but when it arrived, they really gave me crab ragoons instead of the wontons. Very disappointed and unfortunately gave a generous tip on a wrong order.

The best Chinese food in the area. Very reasonable. Good food quality and nice service people. My family eats here all the time.

Growing up in New Jersey, I grew up on mom and pop family owned Chinese food. Quite frankly I miss them. For the past 10 years I’ve been living in Orange County, CA the chain restaurant capital of the world. I can’t eat anymore Pei Wei/PF Changs. Since relocating to Southlake, the memories are just coming right back. This tiny little Chinese joint is so tasty. I’m super picky about food and the quality of their chicken is excellent. Everything is fresh and good quality. You also get a lot of food for the price. They give you a little«salad”(it’s lettuce with dressing), soup and an assortment of fried appetizers. I appreciate that because you don’t just get that anymore. You can skip their fried rice it’s nothing to write home about. All in all we really enjoyed it and will be back.

This is our go to Chinese food place! We order the sesame chicken and egg rolls every time and they never disappoint!

The fried rice is bland and our orange chicken came with burnt chilies so, that was the taste of the meal. The soup was cold and wait staff was slow. It took over a hour to finish, pay, and leave; there was only 9 people inside which included my party.

This is the 3rd time we have ordered from Golden China. We kept hoping we would finally find a great Chinese experience; sadly we did not find it. This will be our last time ordering from Golden China; their egg rolls were VERY greasy, the rice was bland, the Mongolian Beef had little flavor. Pei Wei may cost more but it is worth it.

This is literally the only Chinese restaurant in DFW that I’ll eat at(other than Pei Wei, but that’s not really Chinese food). Amazing lunch and dinner specials. Huge portions, I’m never able to finish, and the left overs can easily make another meal. Very nice, local owners. Always clean and good service. Seriously everything here is so good.

Golden China is a regular for my wife and me — 2 to 3 times a month for many years. Usually, lunch at the restaurant and Fri night delivery. Never had a meal we didn’t like. My favorite is the Mongolian Beef and I ask for spicy. How do they make that beef so velvety? Melts in your mouth. Shrimp Egg Foo Young is her favorite, but I get a bite — love the wonderful flavor of that dish. They have a variety of hour’s devours and a full bar. Chinese Buffets = lots of mediocre food; no buffet here. Everything made up fresh for you and to your taste. BTW, on deliveries — never had anything missing and it comes nearly always sooner than the 40 min they usually project. I am 2.9 mi. Prices very reasonable. I would give GC a 4.5 if there was a star for that. Enjoy!

I’ve eaten a lot of Chinese food in my life, and this one falls pretty low on the list. We ordered here because they are the only Chinese place that delivers to our house. The order was messed up — instead of two cartons of fried rice, we received two cartons of steamed, much to the disappointment of my kids. The mu shu beef was sketchy, and the wonton soup was anything but traditional. I’ll probably skip this and keep hoping for a decent Chinese place in Southlake.

The food is horrible. I usually expect subpar Chinese food from a fast food place but the food here is just below subpar. Will not order from here again. The egg rolls are soggy and the orange chicken wasn’t even close to being good.

Best thing about it was the salad! This place depends on what you order! Would be much better if they trimmed down their menu and only served the dishes everyone enjoys! Didn’t hate it, experience wasn’t bad… Even tho I really disliked the chicken I was able to get semi full. Won’t be back… We ordered Mongolian Beef, Pork with Garlic sauce and orange peel chicken. 1. Beef wasn’t bad 2. Pork had good flavor and a little spice 3 orange chicken, which is our favorite dish normally was the worst I’ve ever had! I asked for it spicy and it didn’t have one hint of orange or spice! Pretty bland… Idk If it was even orange chicken as I didn’t see any orange nor taste it… Hot and sour soup was ok but not hot at all.

This is my second time to eat at Golden China. I had the Mongolian Beef and it was out of this world good! I can’t get over the amount of food you get! After I was finished with my soup, salad and appetizer(s) I was almost too full for the main course! I of course brought a good portion of the food home and of course, it was wonderful the next day. The Pacific Rim Riesling was very tasty and COLD! Will be back!

The service was great and friendly but that’s about all I can say. The booths were tiny the food was sub-par. The potstickers were the best part, we ordered 3 dishes that said spicy but none of them were, we even ordered one extra spicy and I think it was the mildest thing at the table. The Kung pow sauce was good the the vegetables were severely under cooked, almost raw.

I tried this place out cause my girlfriend raved about it. The food was okay! Egg drop soup was good. I ordered Kung pao chicken with extra shrimp by the way they charge $ 1 per shrimp so I had 5 for extra $ 5. My girlfriend ordered garlic chicken and it was pretty good. Overall, it wasn’t bad but my price was $ 28 for two dinner entrees. It’s pricey for the portion I received.

The food is excellent and portions are large. We’ve been going to Golden China for many years and it’s still the best around. Service is always attentive but not pushy. We often have it delivered and they have never gotten our order wrong. Plus they pack up plenty of sauces for each dish.

The star is for their employees. They had great customer service over the phone, and in person. Food was delivered in a prompt and timely manner. The food was disgusting. I ordered Chicken and broccoli w steamed rice, and an egg drop soup. The soup was just terrible… I can’t even being to explain. It was thick and tasted(how I would imagine.) a window cleaner would. My friend ordered the Sesame chicken, w fried rice and hot and sour soup. Yes, the soup was hot and extremely sour. LIKETERRIBLYSOUR. The chicken was horrible. I was quite shocked! I immediately puked it up. NOTBYCHOICE. no good. dont do it.

Fried rice! Get the fried rice. My buddy had the bbq fried rice and his eyes rolled towards the back of his head as he savored the taste. Me, personally, I go with the shrimp. Huge, plump, tasty shrimp. SPICY!

Nice. Not thrilling, but nice. I had a hankering for take-out Chinese food so I gave Golden China a try. The brown rice was nicely prepared, but my extra spicy Kung Pao Chicken really wasn’t all that spicy. As I waited for my order to be prepared, they had a steady stream of patrons coming in to pick up their phoned in orders. They also have a dining room if you’d prefer to eat in. They offer a full bar, and prices are very reasonable. 3 stars is absolutely appropriate here. I’d order again.
