If I could give them more stars, I would. The red sauce was so good I would eat it with a spoon. Service was above average. I can’t say a single bad thing. I’ve looked for a place like this since we moved here two years ago. I’m literally looking for another reason to go back. It’s awesome.

This is a favorite BYOB place. The service is great. The food is really good and their specials are always different and good. If you are not starving you can just order a side or two and get your Italian fix satisfied … I usually get the meatballs and spinach and it is ore than enough for a meal … I have never had a bad meal there.

The reviews don’t lie. If you’re looking for that go to place that never disappoints, this is it. Great food, great service.

Armends is a fine restaurant. You seat yourself at any table and are nearly immediately greeted with service of any given drink. The bread is light and fluffy, it tastes amazing served warm with butter. The noodles are great. I recommend the Aurora sauce. The pizza comes in gluten free and regular, so if you are gluten intolerant that would be great for you. The desserts are varied. Altogether this is a great place to dine and I would highly recommend it.

A favorite in our family for both take out and eating in the restaurant. They have good pizza and are generous with the toppings. My favorite dish is the chicken Parmesan. It is the best I have ever had. Their house salad is a simple bowl of lettuce but the house dressing is yummy and makes it worth ordering. If you eat in the restaurant, it is BYOB. They happily provide wine glasses or a cold mug for a beer.

Don’t forget to BYOB! … I know that’s an odd way to begin a review, but I don’t see it prominently displayed anywhere. I was under the weather when I ate here so it didn’t matter, but normally I would have enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner. BYOB isn’t even mentioned on their website. I suppose I can start with the drinks, since I’m there. I felt a bit shunned in that department. I was dealing with a sinus infection and just wanted hot water with lemon. While all of my friend’s received refills without asking, I always had to wave him down to get more hot water. That was pretty irritating to me. It is my biggest gripe of the experience. The food was good. I can’t complain at all. I had the Linguine alla Vongole and was quite please. One friend had cannoli while the other two had the seafood special, linguine with shrimp, clams, mussels and squid in a red sauce. Everyone was happy with their dish and said they would return. The waiter was happy to do substitutions when requested. Salads were extra($ 5) unless you ordered the special. Bread was complimentary and quite good, though I would not call it ‘garlic bread’ as another reviewer did. It was just bread(yeast rolls, if you want to be specific. I didn’t get even a hint of garlic flavor). We also ordered fried calamari. It was good, but looked pale and lacked flavor. The squid had no seasoning and could have gone an extra minute in the oil. It was a very pale color, not a golden brown as expected. I would skip the calamari next time. There was a good crowd for a Sunday night. I didn’t care for the massive tv. It does take away from the ambiance of the restaurant quite a bit. It is a restaurant or a bar? Most of the patrons were not watching, it seemed to have the attention of the staff only. If you don’t want the distraction of the tv, there is a small cove as you walk in that would be a nice option. It is a small place, but very clean. The décor is nice, not tacky as you find in some mom-and-pop Italian places. My total bill(including the calamari) before gratuity was $ 30 for one person. This included water($ 0), calamari($ 10), Caesar salad($ 5), and entrée($ 13). I would gladly return(with wine)!

I love non-chain restaurant and always trying to find new ones but this one did not quite hit the mark. Took the family in for lunch and it did start to fill up their smallish dining area. Our waitperson took our orders but after the initial order, delivery of food, drink service and final bill was fairly slow. Not sure if they were shorthanded or he helps in the back but I did not even see him for periods of time. The food was a mixed bag. I really enjoyed the garlic bread, my wife and daughter dissed the lasagna as meh, I really enjoyed the slightly spicy shrimp piccante and my son liked the spaghetti and meatballs. Probably wouldn’t be in a rush to get back but a decent break from the higher priced louder chains in Southlake. Probably give them another shot in a few months.

This is likely the best Italian food in Southlake. Service and food are always good. Only complaint is they microwave some food items(careful hot plate means we nuked it). Pizza here taste incredible.

I was really excited to check out this place with my fiancé because of all the great reviews but a little bit disappointed with the food… the bread rolls tasted a little bit stale and were not fresh… but even more disappointed that they didn’t have a vegetarian lasagne or many veggie options their menu… the staff were very friendly and welcoming but the food was disappointing

I was really excited to try this place out after seeing the great Unilocal reviews. I’ll have to say I left alittle disappointed. The interior is nice and they had a nice huge tv:-) the Tables could look alittle nicer though. The food: food was mediocre. Tasted very generic. I was confused by all of the Unilocal reviews. I thought it was alittle over priced too. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but I’ve definitely had better. It tasted the same to me. The chicken and spinach lasagna was good. The sauce had good flavor. The chicken Alfredo came out alittle cold, which I assume was made first and was waiting for the lasagna to finish baking. I could be wrong… It was also too saucy, and I like Alfredo sauce… We ordered cannoli for dessert, it didn’t have chocolate chips like I was expecting. kind of plain, with lots of chocolate sauce drizzled. Our server: He did his job of taking our order and delivering the food, that’s all I can say. We were the only table in the restaurant btw. I wish the server would have swapped out our bread plates for dinner plates so we could share. But it wasn’t a necessity. Our bread plates worked just as well. Will I come back? Not sure. There are a bunch of other Italian competition in the area. Prices are similar, but I’m looking for service more than generic to stand out.

This was super good! Delicious bread to start the food is very good as well. I think we got stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer(it’s been awhile since we ate there) and I had ravioli in a pink sauce. The pink sauce is always where it’s at. Also the service was top notch, i’d have no qualms about going in when it was super busy because they know how to handle it.

This is a surprise in a strip mall. I don’t think I would choose this place on sight alone. But the food is excellent. I got the bow tie Alfredo and it was perfectly done. My daughter got the penne with vodka sauce and it was one of the best sauces ever. My son in law got the chicken and he said it was very good. They filled up about 6:30 so go early.

We were starving after an afternoon spent at the trampoline park and were led here by some raving Unilocal reviews. It was really crowded(on Saturday night), and we were lucky to get one of the last tables. We ordered fried mozarella sticks and calamari for appetizers, and I ordered the chicken spinach lasagna, one of their chef specials for the night. The mozarella sticks were tasty, but I wish they were a little more melty and stringy. The calamari was mostly pretty bland with the occasional well-seasoned piece, but the marinara sauce that came with was awesome. I had thought I was really hungry, but by the time we finished appetizers, I was almost full. The chicken spinach lasagna was really delicious, but so so heavy. I could only take a few bites, and took the rest home. Despite being super full, we still wanted to try their desserts since they sounded so good. We ordered a slice of the nutella cheesecake and a slice of the turtle cheesecake. The nutella cheesecake was good, but was more like a chocolate mousse cake than cheesecake. I was really hoping for more cream cheese flavor. The turtle cheesecake was divine though. It made me keep wanting more even though I felt like I was going to burst. Overall, great family restaurant and delicious authentic food!

This is a wonderful gem hidden in a strip center. Although don’t let that full you. The second you walk in you will realize that this is a local family favorite. We went here about 6:30pm on a Saturday after grabbing some vino at central market, of course, and it was already PACKED! My husband and I both got the pasta, although I know the pizza gets good reviews. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs because when I am trying a new«authentic» Italian place I feel that gives me the best view into the Café’s true colors! It did not disappoint, the sauce was pleasant and slightly sweet and the meatballs were wonderful, definitely some of the best I have ever had. My husband had the meat tortellini with the aurora sauce and he ate the whole thing, I have never had such a wonderful vodka sauce! But this is rich, even he said he wished he had asked for veggies to be added or ordered them on the side. We also ordered a Caesar to start and it was wonderful as well. If you are thinking of trying this place, just do it. It is worth it.

I have lived in Grapevine for 11 years and have always passed this place up for somewhere else. What a big mistake! A friend and I were looking for a BYOB place for dinner and she suggested Armend’s. She had never been there either. It is a small family owned place and we got there a little before 6pm and were happy we did. The place was already packed and there was a longer line by the time we left! We started with salads that had the most incredible dressing, tomato based. I wanted to order a quart of it to take home with me! For my meal, I had Cannelloni and my friend ordered the lasagna. Both were delicious. We will be visiting Armend’s again soon!

Waited 30 minutes standing for a table. I do not see what the big fuss was about. The chicken parm was bland. The pizza was unimpressive and mediocre. We were rushed out of the place… oh. the ice. Tea was cold.

I was in Southlake for a monthly meeting and wanted to try a new restaurant. Armend’s had been highly recommended and decided it was a «go»! I wasn’t disappointed. What a delightful neighborhood Italian restaurant. I was there early on a Monday evening so they were not busy at all. I decided to order the lobster ravioli and a salad. My salad came with the house dressing which is the tomato based Italian that so many restaurants are now using. Armend’s dressing was thick and zesty, It clung to the iceberg lettuce quite nicely. The salad was nothing special but was served cold and crisp. The fresh baked rolls were a nice accompaniment. My entrée came soon after I finished my salad. My plate had 4 nicely stuffed lobster raviolis with an Aurora sauce, basically a pink sauce. Very delicious and their was ample sauce on the plate. I sauce was seasoned perfectly. I may now have a new favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant in Southlake. I can’t wait to bring my wife there to dine when we’re out shopping in the area.
