Over priced small portions. Was so excited that Woodhaven area finally had a middle eastern restaurant. I have given this place a million try’s hoping it changes. But no. :(Believe because there is no other competition in the area they take advantage of it. Skinny sandwiches disappointing

I really enjoy the food at this location the bread is always fresh and the service has always been very consistent. I order the swarma combo alot and its really good. The lamb has been very tender and I like the spice they use for the rice and salad.

Shish Garden is quaint, the décor is beautiful for such a small diner, and the servers are fantastic and attentive. Too bad that the food(vegetarian) that I had was not good. The falafel was not true to taste and they must have put in fillers such as broccoli or parsley. The hummus was just ok, the tabbouleh so-so and the stuffed grape leaves were blah. The homemade pita bread was excellent. The rice had such a strange flavor not like any middle eastern rice flavor I have ever eaten. I would not recommend this place if you have eaten good and authentic ME food before. Another saving grace was the potato soup was well made, seasoned and savory.

Shish Garden has fantastic Mediterranean food including your typical selection of raw juices, appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, etc. I have to disagree with the reviewer below that said there was a lack of vegetarian options. They have all of the typical vegetarian Mediterranean food options and and then some — Falafel, mujadara, vegetarian grape leaves, salads, etc. … even tomato kibbeh, which you don’t see most places. Overall, the food is very good and I’ve never had a problem with the service in any way. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Great healthy food! Started off with lentil soup and some amazing baked pita chips and hot from the oven bread that was shaped like a popover. The bread was served with what we thought was butter but was actually garlic. It was a nice low cal substitute for butter. My boyfriend and I are going to try to figure out how to make it. We asked for some more when my boyfriends chicken kabobs and grilled vegetables arrived. He spread the garlic on top of them and it was delicious! I had the chicken ghallaba which is rice, chicken, veggies and slivered almonds in a garlic sauce. I had mine zesty and it was just spicy enough. Jennifer gave us some excellent service and the manager was able to answer our questions about the garlic. Don’t know if we can replicate this delectable spread but we’ll try!

Good place. Wish they had a bit more vegetarian options, but I’m not left without any, so it’s not a big deal. Good, fresh bread that they bring out as soon as you sit down, and the recently remodeled interior is quite nice. I’ve been going here since it used to be Johnson’s(a diner), and it seems to still be owned by the same gentleman.

Really good food. We got the chicken ghallaba with hummus and chicken tawook, lentil soup, salad, lemonade, potassium broth, and the bread with garlic paste. Nice waiter. Décor is nice. The only thing I didn’t love is the crème caramel. Had a slightly too strong flavor of lemon and I don’t know what. eh. Overall it was a good experience though. I ordered a carry out a few days later for a chicken taboulleh salad and a potassim broth. The woman was very friendly on the phone and when I stopped in the owner was out there chit chatting with us. The chicken ghallaba wrap is mostly rice so skip that. I was craving the ghallaba but ended up wishing I had gotten the entrée. The hommus deluxe wrap is very good.

Amazing hummus. Amazing shwarma. Best food compared to anyone outside of Dearborn. Waiting for it to open back up after the construction!
