Tropical Smoothie Cafe

The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not even a «hi» and they mess my order up every time. I’m pretty sure they gave me a smoothie that was just ice and a little bit of strawberry one time. I’m just going to start going to the Bloomfield location because this one is just worst. At the other location they at least make the smoothies correctly and say hi to you.

A drive-​thru should not take 15 minutes, this is a consistent problem. Service is poor and slow. However, the detox island green smoothie is an amazing healthy choice.

Worst customer service ever. I don’t care what time of day you go, there will be a long wait. The smoothies are good, but this location really needs to work on their customer service, especially being on Telegraph surrounded by office buildings. I will never return to this location.

Never coming here again. The service is absolutely horrible. They are rude and treat you horribly. I ordered two ultimate clubs with extra turkey and it came with no turkey and they threw the bag out of the window to me. I asked if I could have the sides that came with the sandwiches and they asked if I really wanted them. No smiles, no have a nice day, I hate this place. Just moved here from Las Vegas and we had a ton of Tropical Smoothie Cafes. What a horrible store this one is.

This review is solely based on my visit today. I am a frequent customer of TSC. I love their smoothie offerings and healthier «fast food».
I was greeted my the manager after I arrived inside who was assisting with the lunch rush. I ordered a Chicken Pesto Flatbread and Strawberry Limeade Smoothie. I also picked up the guilty pleasure chocolate chip cookie that was located next to the registers.
Customer service was good. My order was taken promptly and I waited. I have been to this location a number of times during the lunch hours (between 11 – 2) and honestly the wait was ridiculously long. I passed up the drive thru on this visit because of the long line.
During this visit I only waited about about 6 minutes for my food which was great. They were pretty busy inside as well. My smoothie was correct this visit as well as my food. I’ve learned from past visits to check my order before leaving.
The staff was friendly but as other Unilocalers have expressed, it seems they struggle to keep up with the lunchtime demand.
Today I was happy with my experience.
The 4 star rating was because the inside wasn’t as clean/​neat as I have seen in the past.

Initially I was really frustrated with the service but as time has passed I can say I am actually quiet pleased. I have had several encounters with the manager and he has been more than accommodating. It can still be slow, but then again it’s not McDonald’s and everything is made fresh. Great concept. Service improving.

The worst customer service. I won the Valentine’s Day contest that they posted on their page! So we come today (4/2)to get our smoothies and they tell me I’m lying, trying to pull a scam and they won’t honor it. They call the manager Courtney and he tells them he knows nothing about it. I have showed them my FB convo and attempted to show Perha the post on their page but she didn’t want to see it. Perha then calls the owner and he states he forgot to tell them. She tells another employee to make the smoothies; however not once apologizes or states she made a mistake or anything. When I ask Perha how to spell her name she walks away spelling it. Very rude, immature and a complete lack of customer service. Not one employee treated me with a happy, cheerful attitude. Will not be visiting this Tropical Smoothie ever again.

I have been to this location a few times and ordered both food and smoothies. The food and smoothies have all been yummy. On average they have gotten my order wrong about 60% of the time. When I explained my order was wrong I was given an excuse instead of an apology before my order was corrected on multiple visits. Wait time after ordering has been very long every time at least 10 min. Not a very friendly place to hang out, staff is depressed and disorganized.

They get three stars because I love the concept of this place, but the service is horrible. They are ridiculously slow, and the customer service is terrible. The stars would increase with better service. Just don’t go here thinking let me grab a smoothie right quick

Managing to write this review as I sit in the slow drive thru line. How is this place even open? Over 10 minutes for just one SMOOTHIE??? I’m currently sitting at the drive thru window right now as I write this and an employee has walked by several times without cashing me out. Nor did she acknowledge me. Will not be returning to this location, although it is significantly closer to my house and I love their smoothies. Terrible service!

Love the other tropical smoothie locations! And was excited that there is now one by my house. Went there on ²⁄₂₁. At 5:56 pm and waited until 6:03 I was never greeted so decided to leave terrible service and never going back at least acknowledge when customers come in tell them it will be a minute before they are served

The service was slow and they were struggling to keep up. They were not organized and the staff does not even bother smiling.

Food is good, when they get your order right. I ordered a few sandwhiches and sides with a couple smoothies for pwople at work during lunch. They got two of the orders wrong (including mine) Tried calling, but no answer, was forced to drive back & wait in li e again. Only to be served, the wrong thing, yet again.
They have sides of kale apple slaw, which is yummy, but the portion is laughable. For $ 1.25 each, I got what amounted to one good bite. This new location has A LOT of work to do to get their act together. I have zero desire to return anytime soon

This review is strictly for the smoothies only — actually one in particular: the avocolada! It is sooooo yummy, and very filling. I am usually not hungry for hours after having that. It comes in a huge container and is packed with avocado and coconut goodness. You can even cut more calories by choosing splenda or sugar in the raw in your smoothie!
Definitely recommend the awesome avocolada if in the mood for a smoothie — my favorite!

This location just catered my 40 people luncheon and it was a big hit! We thoroughly enjoyed the smoothies, the fresh sandwiches and wraps, delicious cookies, etc. Presentation was top notch, service and delivery very professional and the price was more than reasonable. This location definitely makes the list of approved caterers for our office!
