This is definitely one of the best places to stop on route 9 for a plate of fresh food and great service. I had the steak tips for my most recent visit here, and they were cooked perfectly! With it I had a very refreshing ‘tequila sunrise’ made by the bartender, Jill, who always gives very attentive, efficient, friendly service. We have all been to a place at some point where the menu, presentation, and food was good, but the service was lacking. Exceptional service, in my opinion, is what makes or breaks a visit. Having a member like Jill serving your customers certainly compliments your business! I would absolutely recommend Owen’s for their food and drinks, and you will not be disappointed whatsoever with their courteous staff!

While my late grandfather was still around, we were near-weekly patrons to O’leary’s. The staff knew my grandfather by name and always treated us well. This is a true Irish pub on Rt. 9 and I’d recommend it to anyone who just wants a quick drink or a full taste of the Isles. Have a pint, eat some steak tips and play some Keno if you’re ever in Southborough!

Food was OK. Tea was tepid. Service was diffident, at the bar. Soup forgotten. When the main course arrived, I asked, and the soup arrived PDQ. So ate soup with the main. Later I ordered the beef tips on a skewer. I asked for 3, but 3 plates with 3 per plate arrived. Everything was sorted on the bill, so no added expense. Just weird.

I am stunned that Owen O’leary’s does not have a collection of 5 star reviews. We drive there often to enjoy their warm, friendly atmosphere, excellent food, prompt service, and great prices. Their menu offers a wider variety than most pub menus, and their fish rivals that of expensive restaurants, even traditional seafood restaurants. Furthermore, their homemade soups are always excellent, and their fresh vegetables are always prepared tender crisp. Their three course dinner specials on Wednesday and Sunday nights are the best buy in the MetroWest.

Typical pub with OK food, average prices and plenty of space. Good outdoor area for when the weather is warmer.

Your typical mass restaurant/sports bar. It’s got versatility with a more open restaurant layout downstairs and sports bar feel upstairs with the pool table. There are plenty of tvs so no matter where you sit, you’ll be able to get a view of the game. If you’ve got kids, they eat free on Tuesday nights when adults order entrees. On Sunday’s, they’ve got great deals on beer/apps. I’ve been coming here for years because I love their blueberry beer, fries, and family feel. The service here is great, too.

Yeah, when you say you open at 11:30, and it’s noon, and there’s still a FedEx package sitting on your steps, not a good sign. The parking lot is kinda sketchy, and that they’re attached to a motel which seems to rent by the hour. There were a few used condoms in the parking lot. At the middle of the day. The menu had looked decent, and the Unilocal reviews were pretty solid, but I can’t think I’d want to return here. Mark it down as health? Safety? Maybe they should open the place when they say they should. Maybe they should clean their parking lot.

The broken beer bottles in the parking lot were an omen. Luckily I did not drive over them and ruin a tire. We walked in the side door and were met with the faint aroma of a frat house after a keg party. Standing in the«lobby», we did not know if the dining area was up a flight of stairs or down a flight(which seems to be a constant complaint and you would think that the owners would at least put up a sign), so we picked up stairs, which turned out to be a pool table and video game area. Walking down the stairs, we looked at the top of the cabinets in the«lobby»(some held together with duct tape) and there had to be, without exaggeration, a half inch of dust, mold and other filth. This was not hidden away, it was in clear sight and anyone working there had to have seen it daily. If that’s the hallway, I could only imagine the kitchen. That was enough for us and we walked out the door, checked the parking lot for a safe exit through the broken glass, and drove away.

This place is GREAT. We are from out of town and used Unilocal to find a sports bar, and glad we went to this one. Tons of TVs, large bar, great service and food. Will go back next time in the area

If you’re someone who isn’t in favor of loud music at a bar or paying a premium for mediocre drinks, then this is definitely the place for you. We came here twice our three nights stay in Framingham. We would’ve been here three times, but we were beat from touring Boston all day. The bar area of Owen O’leary’s has a «neighborhood» bar vibe. The bar is circular, so you’re facing other clients. There is no loud music blaring, so there were actual conversations going on sans the yelling. There was no air of pretense at all. Striking up a conversation with your neighbor is normal as is listening in on others’ conversation and then partaking in it. It’s quite different from the bars in Los Angeles. The bartenders were talkative and attentive, albeit there weren’t that many people there considering that they were weekdays. We came here for drinks, so I’m not reviewing their food. Their drink prices were very, very reasonable. I had a beer and my bf had a beer and two Manhattans and a dessert. We had all that, and our bill was under $ 30. That’s right, under $ 30. I highly recommend O’leary’s for their drinks and dessert. It’s hard to get better prices, well, at least in Los Angeles, that is.

Sunday nights have a great 3-course deal. I also like the crispy almond chicken and the pizzas. Sadly the meatloaf was removed from the menu, though :’(

Good pub/bar food for a reasonable price. I ordered the ribeye steak which was a very nice size and boneless and cost under $ 20. It was tender and cooked properly.

Went during lunch time. Good pizza and fries. Server was nice and attentive, asked if we needed anything and made sure everyone was happy. Lot of room, and was not too loud when we went, so we were able to talk and hear everything. Recommended.

Nothing surprising, but nothing disappointing. It’s a hot spot for happy hour since there’s aren’t much bars around. The staff is very friendly. Another thing to note is that the parking lot is terrible. It is like going on a roller coaster ride, bumpy!

This is your typical irish chain restaurant. I didn’t find anything original or interesting, both times I have gone my meals are very average. The place is always really busy(why?) so the service is pretty lacking.
