The closest convince store to my house, used to come here after school and get a slushie and a candy bar for $ 2. The prices have since been raised and its expensive now. They used to have a deli full of chicken, steak, hot dogs, etc but the new owners got rid of that and added a Italian ice freezer that’s out of order have the time. But on the plus side mauros has just about everything you need from alcohol to cat litter and everything in between, even a freezer full of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. I always check mauros before I go to Walgreens or stop n shop because there’s a pretty good chance they’ll have what I need. The staff is very polite. I’ll always love mauros no matter who the owner is.

Recently sold out of the family after 50+ years in downtown Southborough. Still the same set-up and products, seriously an old-fashioned general store and one of the few actual shops in downtown Southborough. I’ve been coming here with my grandparents for over 20 years and have always had good experiences. Can’t comment on the liquor/beer costs but the food is standard convenience store prices. The staff is also extremely friendly and is more than happy to chat while they ring you out.

Okay Mauro’s Market is a small local general store. That being said, my wife and I play a game called«check Mauro’s first». Before we go to the supermarket 4 miles away, we first stop at Mauro’s. Amazingly Mauro’s normally has the items we are looking to purchase(sometimes only 2 on the shelf). Example, we needed cocktail toothpicks and Mauro’s had two types(great). They also have local people as the staff and they know how to get everywhere around town if you ask for help. The staff is friendly and jokes around with the customers. Mauro’s also has the cheapest price for 1% milk at $ 2.99 where Stop & Shop charges $ 4.69. Mauro’s has beer and wine if you need to bring something to a house party in town. The store could use a new coat of paint, but this is a small general store and it normally has what we are looking to purchase.

Maruo’s Market is your local, small town grocery store. It’s a tiny place, but it gets the job done. Don’t expect to come here for produce or some special, spiffy cereal — they don’t have a huge stock. I just come here for basic needs, or to go get some milk if I forgot last time I was at Stop & Shop. They have a lot of junk, here — A rack of candy, lots of fatty donut/pastry snacks, bags of chips, marshmellows, cookies, etc. There’s canned food. and a decent selection of sodas & juices & drinks, and on the other side of the store, they have all their liquor, beer & wine. They also have lotto tickets & cigarettes, if you’re into that sort of thing. The building, however, is quite dingy and old, especially on the inside. Basically, if you have a general, basic need and you’re too lazy to go to Stop & Shop, you come here and hope & pray that they have it.
