Everything is homemade and delicious. You really can’t go wrong! Swing in for a cookie, cupcake or a mini or full size cake. Their turnovers(with a coffee!) make for a decadent breakfast.

Employees are extremely rude and disrespectful to other employees. Very unprofessional. Also I’ve seen few violations of health codes. I got a Turkey and muenster sandwhich with literally mold on it.

A bakery with very good bread and a nice staff. There is a wide assortment of cookies and some cakes.

The shortcrust apple turnovers were heavy as lead and rock hard. The iced tea was«off». Everything ended up in the garbage outside the bakery within two minutes.

This place can certainly be overshadowed by Tate’s, but this bakery holds its own, and offers some of the best(if not the best) fruit pies in the Hamptons. The three berry pie has a perfectly textured crust with just the right amount of berries inside. The blueberry crumb is awesome as well — more dense than the three berry but the crumb adds a great texture. They offer a number of other pastries and sandwiches, but pies are the standout at Blue Duck.

I really like this bakery but will no longer shop there till they put prices on all their goods. I find it to be a bother to point and ask the price. There’s a very fine market next to them in Southampton with a bakery dept and everything is marked with price and description. Wake up guys you may think it’s very classy not to show prices, IT’S NOT

I had the soup of the day(Sweet Cherry Tomato) and Turkey Avocado Sandwich for lunch today and both were amazing. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Looking forward to my next visit soon!

Consistently fresh and delicious bakery items. I always try something I never had before with fine results. The staff is always friendly and attentive to all my questions like“what is that?” They actually explain whats in it! Great bread and mini pastries, Cannoli with very good crunch and tasty filling. The Lemon squares are one of my favorites. Worth the visit.

Cute little bakery that has many different varieties of pastries. I just ended up getting a chocolate dipped cannoli and some cookies. The cannoli was delicious. The filling wasn’t too overly sweet and the cannoli shell was a perfect crunch. The cookies where good too. A little to soft for my liking, I don’t want it to crumb in my hand before it reaches my mouth.

This tired looking establishment is third rate at best nothing to fresh in this place. Buy your cakes and the like from any commercial bakery and your money and taste buds will be better served.

Service was slow and cappuccino was burnt, but bagels and pastry were very good. Made for a quick convenient breakfast before hitting the beach.

Service(excellent): Having lived in Southampton, I used to come here often, and still like to go when I visit. The staff is polite, professional, attentive, considerate, and courteous. Quality(very good): The bread is impressive, and the cookies are great. The coffee is also good, and less expensive than most places in Southampton. However, the coffee at the Golden Pear is still better. If you’re willing to fight through the crowd, compete over a table, pay a decent sum, and put up with the constant noise/crowd, and an underpaid a strung-out, overworked staff, for some very excellent coffee, than the Golden Pear is your place. The standard cookies(aka Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal, Sugar cookies), are better at Tates than at the Blue Duck. Selection: There is a really great selection here. More so than at the Golden Pear, but about the same(maybe slightly less) than at Tates. Layout & Atmosphere(excellent): This bakery is beautifully designed, for its size. Unlike Tates, or the Golden Pear, there is actually space to move in The Blue Duck. You aren’t going to feel packed in like a sardine, or overwhelmed by a stressful, noisy, fast paced environment. Seating is much harder to come by at The Golden Pear and Tates, and the outdoor seating at Tates is right next to a well trafficked road. The tables at the Blue Duck are clean, and spacious, just like the rest of the store. This is a good, friendly place to get your coffee, and have a nice, relaxing morning, with a cookie and a nice view of the street. Price(good): Some of the baked goods can be pricey, but all in all, the price is fair for the quality of the food. Goods here are more reasonably priced than at Tates or the Golden Pear. However, the goods at Tates seem to be of a higher quality, and despite the steep price, generally worth buying. Parking: There is only street parking available, but it’s much easier to find parking here than at Tates. In some respects, it is also easier to park here than at The Golden Pear(because of the rear parking lot), however, you can also park across the street from The Golden Pear, and there is almost always parking there.

The place is cute, very friendly staff, and the pies are delicious! I had a couple slices over thanksgiving and yum! I wish there was more sitting area, but besides that, I recommend the place to everyone!

I called 3 weeks in advance to place an order for a cake for my son’s first birthday. They took down all the info and said it would be ready by 10am on date of the party. I called 2 days before his birthday to confirm and they told me yes it would be ready. My husband drove to the bakery from East Hampton that morning and when he showed up no one claimed to know anything about the cake. They claimed they had no orders for this cake and there was no way they could make it in time for the party. It was very disappointing but we got a plain cake from Waldbaum’s grocery store and had a great birthday party in spite of their ineptitude. I will definitely never order anything from this place again

Cakes, fruit tortes, eclairs and chocolate or vanilla napoleans — all good — cookies not as good. Friendly people.

Cute little bakery with minimal seating near the window. Blue Duck offers an array of breakfast pastries, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and bread. The bread is very good, as are the cookies. My favorite cookie is their chocolate dipped jelly sandwich. No one seems to know how to make these anymore and you often end up with hard jelly inside or oily cookies, but not here. The jelly is fresh and plentiful, the chocolate is high quality and the cookie is delicious. Their linzer tarts looked mighty appetizing. I plan to give them a go next time I’m in town!:D

I had the pleasure of eating some pies from here while visiting relatives for Thanksgiving. The apple pie was good, nothing too exciting, you could probably get something similar from the grocery store. The pumpkin pie though was out of this world. It was very well set, interestingly spiced, and the crust was near perfect. I don’t recall eating a pumpkin pie so good. When I was eating it, I actually took smaller bites to prolong the eating experience whereas usually I devour a slice of pie in 30 seconds or less. I haven’t felt this strongly about a dessert, perhaps ever.

The Blue Duck gets my «best bakery» of the East End, but there’s a caveat — no cookies, cakes or pies included. What that means is that The Blue Duck wins for bread only, with Tate’s taking the sweeter stuff. Tate’s cookies can’t be argued with, but they don’t specialize in breads, and the Blue Duck picks those up pretty well. They have a few good, crusty loaves, and are the only place in the East End that I know of that does as good a job as they do. A hint: pick up their loaves at Schmidt’s Produce on North Sea Road if you’re grocery shopping and want to eliminate a stop. They usually have at least few good, fresh batards.
