Moose & Goose Picnic Catering

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Moose and Goose for our outdoor wedding. Alison helped us with all the planning. She made us feel comfortable and confident that the day would be amazing. Everything exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing. So many guests complimented the food– their favorite food at a wedding, loved the the mac n’ cheese, cornbread, sweet potatoes. The burgers and friend chicken so yummy, everything was fresh and delicious. Alison made sure the event went smoothly, we were taken care of. Thank you Alison and Moose & Goose for an amazing day!

Moose and Goose catered our wedding in October 2011 and we were thrilled with their service as well as the food and set-​up. They were very accommodating to our needs for the type of reception we wanted (which was a low-​key, buffet-​style meal in the dining hall of a camp — although I believe they will cater fancier occasions as well).
Gina was great to work with, answered all of my questions very promptly, and the on-​site staff did a great job as well. They set up a beautiful fall display for our buffet table (as requested) and were absolutely professional and pleasant throughout the event. Perhaps most importantly, my guests are still raving about how much they enjoyed the meal (and think about it… when is the last time you went to a wedding and raved about the food??). People were going back for seconds and thirds, and we were thrilled to see our guests enjoying themselves.
Another great aspect of working with Moose and Goose is that they will allow you to purchase you own alcohol and hire their licensed bar-​tender to serve it (assuming that your venue allows this as well). We saved a lot of money by purchasing our own alcohol, as well as taking care of our own dessert. Moose and Goose Caterers are extremely flexible with what they will allow you to do – at no point did I feel like I was tied into something that I didn’t want for my wedding (such as corkage fees, cake cutting fees, buying an expensive cake I didn’t want, etc). Rather, Gina gave me clear guidance and advice, but allowed me to choose the food and beverage options that worked best for us, our guests, and our budget.
Overall, I cannot recommend Moose and Goose highly enough!
PS – I suppose I should point out that although I am located in Washington DC, our wedding was not in the DC area. Moose and Goose caters primarily in the Philadelphia region; our wedding was in South Jersey.
