Can’t say enough about the total experience here. The manner, expectations set, delivery of service and followup was excellent. I have never been to a periodontist before but this Dr and is team is such a talented bunch, I can’t recommend highly enough for any of your periodontal needs.

Prior to seeing Dr. Knight, I had a gum graft performed, about 7 years ago, by a different periodontist. That graft didn’t turn out as well as it should have and left me with a cosmetic blemish and a $ 1,200 bill. So when I needed another graft on the other side of my mouth, I wasn’t going to use the same periodontist (due to the blemish).
I had a newer dentist when the second graft need came about. So he sent me to a periodontist in Los Altos. It was an interesting experience. The building was very posh as was his office, hardwood floors, a large fountain in the office, etc. Nice enough periodontist, but I felt like I was buying a car. They buttered me up then presented me with the estimate while I was still sitting in the exam chair. Never had that happen before. How much? $ 2,300, for one graft! Uhm, thanks, but no thanks. This also caused me to drop my dentist since he was the one who sent me there.
So, Dr. Knight was a referral from my sister’s friend who happens to be an oral surgeon.
Dr Knight and his staff are great! The graft turned out great. He’s very kind, personable, and explains things really well. The graft is about a year and a half old and still looks great. I’ve had about 4 follow-​ups since the procedure and have one more to come (all are included in the original amount).
I appreciate him so much that I don’t mind driving from San Mateo to SSF to see him. Also, he referred me to a new dentist in Foster City (Dr. Jadallah) and that’s worked out really well. Win win!
I don’t see how you could go wrong with Dr Knight or find a better periodontist (regardless of price).
