We hired Alan to renovate our two bland and dated bathrooms. We were initially impressed with his professionalism and expertise, coupled with his calm demeanor. Being new homeowners and first-​time renovators (without a professional designer’s help), we definitely needed some guidance with the project.
Alan is incredibly easy to talk to, bounce ideas off of, and overall a great collaborator. From suggesting materials, fixtures and finishes to creating custom niches, ledges and shelves, Alan and his team were helpful, thoughtful, patient and flexible. We hired Alan Bowes and Alan Michael Carpentry as the general contractor for our 3-​bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side.
