I’ve been seeing Dr. Elkinson for contacts and glasses for about 12 – 13 years(since I was in my early teens). I’ve always had a great experience with him and I would recommend him to anyone! The entire team is warm, friendly, professional and accommodating. I always leave his office feeling great because of his high standards of care. If you want to have a good experience and to feel like you’ve been taken care of by a 5 star team, then see Dr. Elkinson!

I give it a three because I do agree he was a bit sales-pitchy. It is his business and I guess I can’t really blame him too much for that. I did go with the full dilation, and I’m glad I did because he found something amiss that he would not have otherwise seen. I did look at the plethora of glasses, and none struck my fancy enough to pay the high high prices, but the sales staff was adorable and accommodating, and really didn’t push too hard. The best part about my visit was that I accidentally came in a week early(By bad with the calendar) and they still were able to get me in. I also didn’t get that total-creeper vibe I’ve gotten with other bargain eye places. Over-all, the place was cute, folks were nice, he is a good doctor, and runs a private business. I will likely go back.

I have had a really bad first experience with Dr. Elkinson. He was friendly, but really pushed for extra eye tests in a way that felt like a sales pitch. I told the doctor that I wanted to start wearing contacts again as soon as possible. When I left the office, he told me I would get my first pair of contacts in 7 to 10 days, be able to try them out, then come back for a fit check before ordering in bulk. So about two weeks later, I called the office to check on the status of the contacts. They told me that in fact, I would not be able to pick up my contacts until my «contact fitting» — which the doctor had specifically told me I would not need, since I’d worn contacts before. I asked to move my appointment up, because if I had known that in the first place, I would not have set up an appointment THREEWEEKS after my eye exam. That’s when the receptionist told me that they hadn’t even ORDERED the contacts yet. Very frustrating and poor customer service. And as for the need for a full fitting — As soon as I get the contact prescription, I’m switching doctors.
