Valvoline Instant Oil Change

The person who was in charge of my car’s oil change tried to do sales instead of just doing what i asked him to do. Why do you pile up minor things on the list just to boost your sales?
He kept on recommending that i need to change to ‘full synthetic’ oil, that i need to do ‘flush’ the engine, do this, do that; He kept on adding what my car needs on the list and spoke in a tone of voice as if they were absolutely necessary.
What I needed was just a simple oil change, but I ended up spending 3 times more than the oil change. Now I realize that the recommendations he made were NOT really of immediate concern; he just tried to be a salesman. I don’t need to go back to a place where the servicemen do not really act according to his conscience. I don’t think I will ever go back to this place.

Screw this place. Fucketh unto thee in the highest. Came in for an oil change…(yes, I had a damned groupon… I love groupon). Tell the dude I want an oil change, and only what the groupon will cover. He says ok. Types some stuff into his little computer, turns around and tells me that Toyota has sent out an email that all 2012 and higher vehicles are mandated to get synthetic oil or that I void the warranty. (I drive a 2014), and that it would be an additional $ 60 for the synthetic. I tell him just do the regular oil, it’s fine. He tells me I’m going to void my warranty, and that I NEED the synthetic. At this point I’m not totally sure if he’s trying to rip me off or if this is actually a thing, I call the dealership and ask them. They tell me that regular oil is recommended, I can use whatever type of oil I want, my warranty will NOT be voided, and that he’s trying to rip me off. (Phone was on speaker so the mechanic could hear everything). I hang up the phone, tell him «you heard him, close it up!» And drive away. (And I had my groupon refunded).

I have been coming to this location for a quick oil change for about a year now. They are all very friendly and take the «pain» out of getting work done on your car. They perform the oil change service right in front of you which is important in the car mechanic industry. Yes, they will make a quick diagnosis of what’s needed on your car, but it’s always optional. Personally, I appreciate having someone tell me what’s needed because car mechanics is definitely NOT my forte. I actually prefer coming here over my own dealership because these guys have always been honest with me and don’t try and talk me into things I don’t actually need. Plus, the pricing is reasonable for the level of convenience.

I’ve been comin here for about 3 – 4 years — with multiple jeeps — they are alway very nice — every attendant introduces themselves, explains what they r doing. I showed up 10 min before closing and they greeted me with a smile. It’s fast — easy. Mike the mgr makes sure I get anything I need — thank u!

Awful experience, manager is on a power trip and they really try to pull the wool over your eyes. The negative reviews already here are very accurate (especially Lala’s review).

I’ve been getting my oil change here on and off for the past several years. However, what I do not like about this place is that they always find minor issues and try to convince me to fix it. I normally decline and ask them to note the issue so I can get a second opinion. I understand they do it to get business but they can get a bit pushy asking one too many times even I stayed no thank you.
On my most recent visit, they did the same thing as I mentioned above. Today, when my dad was checking under the hood for a random checkup to see if everything is ok, he mentioned that this location did a sloppy job when closing up the valves and such when the job was completed. That’s disappointing to know that I go in for a service and someone didn’t do their job correctly which could possibly lead to other problems.

I always had a good experience with Valvoline even in different states. Their service is good. They charge little more than others but I’m totally okay with it as they check almost everything in my car.

First time here today. And last time. Posted oil change price 33.99 but they force you to buy a .99 drain plug gasket so the posted price should include that. They tried to sell me a cabin air filter and an air filter (I declined). The whole process was annoying and I think I had a trainee puting in the oil. So I hope he put it in the right place.

I have no idea why I keep coming here. I guess bc it’s a very convenient location for me. Yes, the oil change is fast and although they do try to get more services out of you a simple «no thanks» is all you need. My issue is EVERY time I come here I feel like an animal at the zoo. Every person who can possibly stroll over to my car does to make some comment. Now, no one has ever said anything inappropriate, but every guy there is making small talk. Sounds friendly, but in reality you have the main person and the assistant doing this but also giving you directions (like start the car… turn it off… Going over the bill…) so when the other 2 or 3 people come over in shifts to talk to you there’s always two people talking to you at a time. Two trips ago I had a guy standing by the front of my car asking me about a crack in my windshield (how’d you manage that, that’s a unusual crack pattern, when did that happen, was it shaped like that from the start). I dunno dude, it’s a crack. At the same time some other guy is in my window making small talk about where I was from and how I used to come here with another car (which I didn’t so he was mistaken or just making stuff up so he could chat) and I’ve got the one employee actually working who’s trying to tell me to turn off the car but I can’t hear bc I’m already having two forced conversations. Every time this happens. Most recently, I had two guys, neither which were working in my bay, try and engage me. Telling me to smile and asking me if I’m having a bad day. Guys, I’m sitting in my car at an oil change place, am I supposed to be grinning from ear to ear? Please just be polite (which they are) and change my oil. This has been going on for YEARS, even when it was under a different name (jiffy lube maybe). The only two times this has not happened is when my boyfriend was with me in the car. Go figure.

Wow. I had a great experience. needed a brake light fixed and an oil change. My tires were checked and filled without me having to ask. Everyone was so nice and helpful, especially Shawn!
I will definitely come back here again.

I had a bad experience here. Oil change itself was fine and fairly quick. Typically they try to sell you a multitude of extra service/​product while you are there. Made the mistake of agreeing to getting new filters — quoted at $ 30 installed. I get the invoice and they are $ 43?! The guy is unapologetic and says that’s what the computer says the price is. Doesn’t make an attempt to fix it and just wants to get me out of the place. Generally, not a good business practice to change the price whenever you feel like it. Won’t be going back here.
