This place is terrible. The staff is rude and the wait time is like nothing I have ever seen. Expect to wait at least an hour until you leave the waiting room and then you will STILL have another hr to wait the room before you see the doc. This is a normal thing for them. I strongly advise you don’t make this your doctor unless you like a good chunk of your day lost to him.

This is one of the worst Doctors I have ever seen in my entire life, therefore I am compelled to write a review to WARN others that may make the mistake of seeing him in the future. Here is the short story: Look him up on you will see he has 22 reviews and 2 stars, if you have an emergency and need an orthopedic surgeon at JFK tell them you will see ANYONE but him, and god forbid you have to face his staff they are incredibly rude and incompetent. On January 22nd2014, I got into a car accident less than a mile away from JFK Hospital, I broke my tibular and fibular bones in my right leg and also had a hairline fracture in my heel. Dr Lebowicz performed my surgery. After being discharged, I realized that my medication was decreased despite my pain being just as intense. The JFK paperwork indicated I take 2 pills, whereas Dr Lebowicz wrote me a prescription for 1 pill, was I advised by Dr Lebowicz that my medication was being decreased? NO. I call the office to advise them of this and to schedule my follow up. These are the most unprofessional and RUDE people that I have ever spoken to, I asked the MA Maria to have the Doctor give me a call back and she tells me that, «He will not drop everything and call me back». Um? I never asked him to drop everything, I just asked for a simple call back, which I never got. Furthermore, after several frustrating phone calls I received my follow up appointment date. I was 5 minutes late,(due to a broken leg and having difficulty walking down the stairs), and decided to give the office a call, they proceeded to tell me that my appointment is now CANCELLED because I was advised to be there 15 minutes early,(which I was never advised). My fiancé got on the phone with them and they proceeded to HANGUP on him while was he was speaking. I went to the office anyways and they initially refused to see me, the office manager told me that I lied about never being advised about their office policy — then finally when they were bringing me into the room they wouldn’t allow my fiancé in the room, they told him AFTER they did the Xrays they would let him in the room, so that he could also speak the doctor. Guess what? The doctor walks in and I asked him 6 times, where is my fiancé, I need him in here, you are giving me instructions about my care and I am on heavy pain medication and have foggy memory and I need him here because he is my caretaker. He tells me its just not possible. When I tried to talk to the physican about his staff and their behavior he told me next time, I should just bring another family member with me, and its just a misunderstanding. The waiting room had 4 other patients in it, every SINGLE one of them said that the office staff is the rudest that they have ever encountered and they have made several complaints, but nobody listens or cares. JFK hospital continues to refer patients to this guy. Unbelievable.
