I have always enjoyed the breakfast here but my experience with the lunch was very disappointing. After 18 holes it’s safe to say most would love to kick back with a cold beer and a great lunch. I ordered the«Bruschetta Chicken sandwich.» What I got was an obviously frozen filet of tasteless chicken, a tomato slice, and a supposed«pesto aioli.» I’m not expecting culinary excellence of Italy, but Bruschetta is NOT a plain tomato slice and pesto aioli is NOT chopped brown basil leaves. And the rest of my party ordered the chicken tacos. The staff stressed the odd mayo based dressing on the tacos because I think they knew the chicken was obviously not seasoned and it was accompanied with just iceberg lettuce and raw onion. Very bland. I hope the grill figures things out because I love supporting this fun little golf course that I’ve been coming to since I was a kid. But seriously, either get a cook with some better experience or provide him/her with the necessary tools.

A great place to relax is the Arroyo Seco Grill on Wednesday nights, 7 – 9:30pm, with live music on the patio. Brad Colerick’s Wine and Song night delivers a 5-star show with original acoustic music featuring several groups and singer-songwriter’s. Expect a variety of very talented local artists and groups from all over the world. The original music gets you relaxed and makes you smile with great lyrics — beautiful poetry to music. There is a $ 10 suggested donation for the musicians and you really get your money’s worth with this show. So come relax and enjoy a night of great music outside(indoors if bad weather). The Grill serves on the patio, in case you are hungry or thirsty: wine, a full bar, craft beer, salads and American standards. Preview the schedule of performers and then listen to music of the coming artists using the artist link at .

I hesitate to let the cat out of the bag but this bar is real cool and is fully Dude of Food approved. My experience here is that the staff is really great and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The food isn’t otherworldly but if you think you will find gourmet entrees at a grill you may be looking in the wrong place. Not saying the food is bad, just typical grill food. I like the bar. If you enter being cool everything will fall into place. They have a cool outdoor party area for adults or kids parties and I think I saw a miniature golf spot too. Thank you Arroyo Seco golf course and pro Joe Cano for properly holding down a great old school standard.

If you are not currently at Arroyo Seco, you’re doing something wrong and are possibly a bad person. Why else would you miss out on cheap golf and the best clubhouse in LA? Stop in for the drinks, stay for the atmosphere and comfort food. Very pleasant neighborhood feel with a friendly staff. Everything is well priced and never disappoints. The bar food is good, but I highly recommend the all-day-breakfast type foods. In the mood for a mid-day omelet and hashbrowns? This is your place. Get off your internet machine and into food-in-your-face here.

Really nice for a quick golf break :) The lady who works there is really nice and sweet to me and my friend. She would sell her home baked cookies, which are really delicious! :) yay

For $ 7 I got 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 sausages. This, after hitting some balls at the driving range with a couple of girlfriends, makes for a perfect morning. It’s not fancy schmancy; it’s diner food. But it’s good diner food. Also, service is great. I’ve been here before for a beer or two after a round, and it’s just a cool place to hang out after a round, mini-golf, or the driving range. Best of all, it’ s not crowded or full of golfers who will look down on you. It’s just regular folks dining after their selected activity. However, if you are in the area and looking for good diner food, this place is worth checking out.

Arroyo Seco Grill is tucked away by the golf course in South Pasadena. It’s a casual diner with basic American fare. I had the chicken salad. My colleague had a sandwich. The salad was just iceberg chopped up with pieces of grilled chicken. Presentation is cafeteria style. The food is below par, but it’s a laid back place to meet. Service is warm and friendly here.

Visited the Arroyo when it was a charming family owned place, great food, great place to eat. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Went back last week, noticed the menu was different, and the quality of food wasn’t up to par.

Some say«change is good». In the case of the new ownership I’d have to say NOT so good. The friendly charm is no longer apparent. Also, why is the new manager allowed to serve food with such an awful rash on his arms? Do we need to call the health department? Don’t eat here folks.

New owners changed the menu and new food is too expensive and the quality has gone downhill. Pass on this once cool diner.

Loved this place! I used to come to the Arroyo Seco Mini Golf Course as a little kid and decided to come back for a relaxed evening of cocktails, burgers, and good old-fashioned fun. The grill is quiet yet always had a constant flow of people. Our waitress was extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the dinner. We ended up with beer, cocktails, blt, burger and cheesecake — all excellent! Definitely will be coming back!

I accidentally discovered that the absolute best cakes(albeit hidden behind the counter, and not on the menu) can be found at the Arroyo Seco Grill. Now, I am a big Sprinkles Fan(from the beginning), but having now tried the German Chocolate Cake — the density, flavor, it all sings. Last Saturday, I tried a piece of the berry smothered cheesecake. Cheesecake factory, N. Y… nobody can touch this beauty. Go try it, f’sure. What a gem!

Denise and her family make you feel at home and the food is fantastic. Nice atmosphere, a great hidden gem. Worth checking out even if you don’t golf. Killer cheese cake, but it’s only available on weekends.

A group of friends & I love the show«How I met your Mother». We’ve been seeking a mid-week hang-out like the one they have in the show. A place where we can depend on some tasty food(but not break the bank), enjoy some drinks, maybe watch some sports, dress casual(no Barney suits), and a spot close to our places. We thought Gus’ BBQ might be the spot. But in truth, after many times there the excitement of the food departs and the prices start getting at you. So yesterday we thought we might hit the driving range at the Arroyo seco, and decided to eat here. I think we might — repeat, might — have found our spot. It’s certainly NOTHING like the bar in HIMYM — but it satisfies our criteria. A small deli/café, nothing fancy, in a golf course. But the burgers and sandwiches were priced right and were delicious — absolutely no complaints. Even the fries were spot on, and the cole slaw — YUM. Draft beer selection while small is surprisingly good and reasonably priced — and the Bloody Mary was good although a bit too spicy(a lil bit too aggressive with the tabasco) — had to request more mix. But def appreciate them. Service was fun and great — feel like you’re at a friend’s house, where conversation is casual and fun. Nice TVs to watch games — and HELLO — if you feel like doing active, step outside and hit some balls!

Enjoy some yummy diner food after some real or mini golf. Or just because you’re in the area… it’s nothing fancy. But they do a mean cheesesteak and hamburger. My son loves the hot dogs too. Full bar if you are jonesing for beer and burger that doesn’t break the bank.

There’s nothing like a productive weekend… I awoke early Sunday morning and headed out to the Arroyo Seco Golf Course. Now this isn’t a fancy, country club golf course. This is a Par 3 Municipal Golf Course, the type of course where REAL players come out to play. OK, OK, when I say REAL I don’t mean the BEST players, I mean salt of the Earth recreational players, hacks, kids, drunks, and newbies… the backbone of our nation. I love this place and not just for its convenience, inexpensive green fees, inexpensive driving range, chipping green, putting green and ‘rustic’ miniature course, I love this place for the Arroyo Seco Grill. After working up an appetite on the driving range there is nothing like heading into the grill for some grub. Even early in the morning, the place was packed. What I love most is that it wasn’t packed with just golfers. There were families with small children, retirees, and assorted others as well those who just didn’t have the ‘golfer’ look that the ‘golfers’ obviously did. Grabbing a seat at the counter it took but a minute to be served a hot cup o’joe. The plasma screen on the wall was playing Game 4 of the Bulls and Heat so I didn’t have to feel guilty about missing anything. Although my denver omelette and country potatoes were mistakenly given to the wrong person I didn’t seem to mind the 5 minute wait to get another made for me. Matter of fact, my waitress seemed to go out of her way from then on to make sure everything else was to my satisfaction. I really appreciated that. This isn’t culinary dining, this is greasy spoon eating, the type of nourishment that makes you smile and keeps you in the moment… true quality. The place was noisy and packed, all in all it was perfect. Thoroughly fed, I wandered off to the putting green to further appreciate the great morning I was having. Whether it’s time for breakfast or lunch, pancakes or burgers, bloody marys or cold beer, they got you covered. Whenever your game begins to fall apart it’s good to know you can always make par on the 19th hole.

Formerly known as The 19th Hole, the Arroyo Seco Grill has been a longtime favorite of mine. I come here for the great breakfast and the friendly service. You can order a Bloody Mary if the mood strikes you as they even feature a full bar… now that’s my kind of breakfast joint! Located at The Arroyo Seco Golf course, an 18 hole, 3 par course(rated one of L.A.‘s top 10!) this is a good alternative to your regular breakfast place. Oh, and there’s also miniature golf for the kids!
