Free Bird

I visited Free Bird on a recent trip to South Lake and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. They are located in what can probably be described as an upscale shack, which fits no more than 5 people at a time. On this occasion there happened to be five of us there, so we had the opportunity to get friendly with strangers. It immediately became obvious that Free Bird is a locals favorite and I was the only one who wasn’t on a first name basis with the barista. Friendly only begins to describe the service here. While my drinks were being made, great conversation was had and I sure felt like one of the regulars!
The coffee: I had a mocha which was expertly made, a friend had a dirty chai which was also reported to be fantastic. Almond milk was available for my wife’s drink, which was a bonus.
While waiting for our drinks I had the opportunity to see some of Free Bird’s other drinks such as smoothies and drip coffee. All looked great!
Solid 5 stars for service and quality, no question!
