Surprisingly empty beach for the amount of traffic that comes by the park. Parking is troublesome to find, but we managed to squeeze an SUV into a(hopefully legal) spot way at the end of the lot closest to the beach, parallel to the tree line. The water is calm enough here for paddleboarding and swimming; sand is coarse but soft enough to walk around barefoot on. Not ideal for sandcastle building given its weight, but still doable. :) Within walking distance of the gorgeous Rubicon and Lighthouse trails — the beach is the perfect place to park yourself after a long day of hiking.

I know I will regret writing this. But I am hoping not too many Unilocalers will see this review. This is a wonderful beach. Small with only a scatter of people. There are cliffs that people dive off of. The water is so clean and clear and tiny little sparkles in the water as if there’s precious minerals to be found in the Lake. On this particular day I saw snorkelers and scuba divers. It brought me back to old memories of trips to Hawaii, a sandy beach, blue waters, snorkelers and divers. Only thing missing were the sea turtles and fishes under the sea. Don’t forget this is just one of MANY wonderful beaches of Lake Tahoe
