Peek a Dog Pet Store Adoptions

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY REASON. I applied for a dog at this location December 31^st. Initially when I applied, I was met by a very nice young lady named Steph. She is a really cool person with a people personality and she walked me through the process of applying to adopt, stating that the dog I wanted had been at the shelter for quite some time, and the process takes between 3 days to a week. The process seemed simple enough and the fees were reasonable for the dog that I wanted. I applied on New Year’s Eve. I’ve had a puppy previously but he was stolen and I had my heart set on Raven to be my new little lady. With that in mind, I waited, patiently. 1 week passes with no communication at all. 10 days go by and I call asking for an update. There was no update because he coordinator was soooo busy and still working on my application. Alright. Another week passes with no communication and I call back for another update just to be given the same sob story that the coordinator was busy. I call again a few days later, SAME SOB STORY! Finally I get an email, very short and sweet, stating that I’m not qualified to adopt based on one or more reasons. I’ve called numerous times to figure out what makes ME SO UNQUALIFIED but this shop has dodged every call. The purpose is to find these animals a home, not keep them couped up in a shop. Terrible business practices.

I took my Shih-​Tzu here for the first time and the groomer did a good job.
They also had dogs for adoption, which is good to see. The prices are good as well. I do plan to take my dog there again.

This is our first pet adoption, and Jasmine, at Peek A Dog made it a great experience for us. We had the opportunity to foster Ade, a poodle/​terrier mix. Ade is a great, very easy going, and has no problems bonding with our family.
Jasmine really cares for these little pups, and made sure we and Ade would be great fit. And today, we are proud and happy to officially have Ade (Addy) as a part of our family! Keep doing what you do best, the world needs it!

We adopted our wonderful Maltipoo puppies (Max and Pippa) from Peek a Dog. They are wonderful, loving creatures and have added so much to our family. The staff at Peek a Dog was great: they provided the foundation of love and caring for these pups that we are now building upon to make sure they grow into happy, well-​adjusted dogs. The whole team at Peek a Dog is kind, professional, and generous. Highly recommended.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Jasmin at Peek a Dog Rescue and the newest love of my life, a beautiful healthy and happy bouncing little baby girl, who is a white with black, Maltipoo and who’s just most probably the smartest and most wonderful sweet young life I’ve ever had the honor to love and I can already tell why God had me waiting a. long time for her. She hadn’t yet been born. I could tell the moment I laid my eyes on her brother and sister and her how much love and and careful care they’d been given all the puppies there by their tone and the feeling inside this rescue as I was instantly made to feel the Love inside this most delightful rescue. They’re all very kind here and it shows in the happy dogs they have. I was always too late when I’d see a photo of a dog I felt a connection with but I feel that Shadow was meant to be a member of my family. One day, and I already know she loves music and can see herself in the mirror and she was trying to play with herself in the mirror a while ago. One day and I feel my life was so boring until I met this little one who also played with her shadow in the sunshine. Hence, her name. Thank you Peek a Dog Rescue for your kindness and faith in me. I wholeheartedly recommend this rescue group!

I have relied on Peek A Dog for about 5 years to help me find great homes for unsheltered stray animals. Yesenia is always readily available and more than willing. She does what most of the world doesn’t do and shelters, feeds, provides vet care and goes beyond to make sure these pets go to A LOVING, healthy, and safe home; which is incredibly hard work. Trust me, ive done the leg work. Her heart is gold. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with our pets.

NEVER AGAIN! WORSE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR PUPPIES! I was strongly recommended to peek a dog I was told they had really reasonable prices and their grooming was great. Well I decided to take my two puppies after the good comments. When I got there everything was great, I explained to the young girl how I liked the grooming for my puppies she made me filled out two forms one for each puppy. She took my dogs in at 11:30 am and told me they where going to call me 30 minutes before they where done. It was 5 o’clock and I hadn’t received a call so I decided to stop by at 5:30 I have never left my dogs that long at a grooming place. I get there and nobody was in the front desk all I hear is a women yelling in the back room «stop stop stop «I peek and saw the young woman yelling at a dog. Then another lady comes out and I tell her I was there to pickup my dogs she tells me my dogs are not even near done that they where finishing with some dogs that where in front of mine. The girl in the back tells me out loud «there will be ready in about 2 and ½ hours. So they call me at 8 to pick my dogs at 8:30. I’m expecting a really good job with the grooming. You have to keep in mind that my dogs have been in a small cage for 9 hours straight with no food and no water at all. When they brought them out I notice they where really anxious I start checking the grooming and it’s awful. I had asked her to give them a teddy bear cut for their face and not to touch or cut the tail or the eyelashes. She did the opposite and when I ask her she said «they where very knotted so I had to cut everything next time u can set an appointment so we can take them in right away». I noticed that one of my dogs had strands of long hair in her head so I asked her if she could fix it, well she wasn’t very happy I asked so she takes her to the back and then I hear she starts yelling «stop stop stop moving» omg when I heard that I told her that’s fine leave her like that. So she brought my dog out. And I told her: «when you tell my dog to stop my dog gets scared and she said she was just moving a lot. I was very disappointed over all. This place it’s not professional at all. They treat you and your dog as if they are doing you a favor and to top it off when I got home I notice they made a deep cut on one of my dog’s neck and she was bleeding. Very unethical!

This place is simlply awesome professional friendly service, my five dogs look great !! Thank you for having a dog rescue in this area your services are truly appreciated.

The reason I didn’t bring Falkor in as soon as I noticed the fleas is because you were closing when I picked him up if you recall. I did in fact mention the nicks and cuts when I spoke to you early the. next day. You are a liar and very unprofessional, and my daughter dropped off her job application that day when we picked Falkor up. She NEVER went back after seeing the bloody nicks and cuts on him.

I took my dog here and got him fully groomed with Mia. I never like to leave him anywhere so I called a couple places before coming upon this one if I can watch it be done and they all said no. When I called here Mia said «yeah if you want.» She wasn’t at all nervous that I was there and my dog can be rough so I think it helped. She knew what she was doing and my dog liked her. I got him ears & teeth cleaned, nails clipped, flea washed, and an anal expression all for $ 30.

They’re really nice to my dogs, my schnauzer and bichon always look great. It’s nice of them to always give you a report card telling you how your dog’s behaved.

Great little rescue! While I can’t speak for the grooming, we adopted a 3 month old rescued pit puppy from here and were really happy with how thorough they were at verifying that their animals went to great homes. They asked about our background, rescue history, and did a home check which we were so happy to do since it shows they really care about the dogs. Cant wait to send in update pics! Keep up the great work Peek a Dog!

Great groomer for a great price !! Very friendly my dogs hair wasnt so great since we hardly brushed his hair =/​so we had to mostly cut all his hair down they did a great job nothing to complain about!!! My dog was looking stunning after and hes a maltese !! Love this place
