My sister and I find ourselves in the unexpected position of handling our Mother’s late-​life financial decisions and living situation. As this is something new to both of us, we were recommended to Mr. Murphy’s office for advice. The initial meeting went well and was informative. We were advised at the end of the meeting we would both, via email and snail mail, receive an outline of the meeting with which to proceed with future decisions. We were told to expect this outline a week after the meeting.
It has now been 2 months and we have yet to hear from Mr. Murphy’s office. My phone messages to the office have gone unreturned. My emails to the office have gone unanswered. My in-​person visit to the office has been ignored. In short, we did not get all that we had paid for. The check for services rendered was very promptly cashed.
To anyone considering using Mr. Murphy’s services, I’d advise to take your own detailed notes, or bring a tape recorder.
