Absolutely the worst breakfast I have ever had. The waiter brought me my food and walked away as I was saying SIR… SIR. It took seven minutes while my food sat there getting cold, to find my waiter to get SILVERWARE. Ever eat eggs with no silverware? Once the waiter finally returned, I showed him my toast was as hard as a rock. It literally cracked when I tried to take a bite. Returned my entire breakfast. When the new breakfast came, I was brought white bread that was NOT toasted and soaked it butter. I guess that was because I complained about the burned toast. Needless to say, I did not eat my breakfast that cost a total of $ 11.00. Will never go there again. This is my second time of getting terrible food and poor customer service.

Wow! Horrendous all the way around. Even the food was exceptionally bad, I thought all Bob Evans were the same.

Terrible service. Walked in and was seated by hostess/waitress who didn’t bother to offer us a beverage as we have found customary at our regular Bob Evans. After staring at us for 10 minutes while gossiping with the waitress who seated us, the manager finally came over and apologized for the delay as «our» waitress was busy with a large party and again failed to offer us coffee or anything else for that matter.(besides the large party, we were one of only 2 other tables occupied). After 20 minutes our waitress finally came by, apologized, got us coffee, our order came out quickly, 100% wrong. Patty instead of the requested link sausage and eggs prepared wrong, sausage when bacon was ordered… in an attempt to rectify the matter an order of bacon was brought out in a pool of so much grease it was scary. It’s obvious nobody that works here gives a damn.

Terrible service. Our waitress took our breakfast order, and after she brought us our drinks, we didn’t see her again for another 35 – 40 minutes! Never got our food. Had to walk out.

It’s about time for an update. Traditionally, this is where we stop for breakfast and/or dinner before/after a Notre Dame Home Football Game. He’s been coming here for as long as he can remember(long before me) and we now stop every single time we come to town. I’m convinced South Bend has other restaurants… I just don’t know one thing about any of them! One season, we came to town for every home game and every time, we were at Bob Evan’s for breakfast or dinner. On our last visit, I seriously suggested trying somewhere else to my husband. Blasphemy! And so we went. Again. I tend to choose lunch here at breakfast time and no one bats an eye. So last time, I had a chicken breast, corn and breakfast potatoes. This comes with a choice of bread: biscuits, toast, pumpkin bread, cinnamon coffee cake, etc. I chose the coffee cake. Nothing about my meal made any sense to the average person, but it worked out okay for me. My husband chose some forms of eggs — I think a skillet, potatoes and of course the biscuits and gravy. Remember, it’s tradition! Somehow, I have avoided having to eat the traditional gravy. ;-) Overall, the food is fine. Nothing special or memorable. It’s just hot food that fills you up(before a long day of drinking… when that used to be our thing). Plus they have clean bathrooms, so I guess I will continue to embrace this family tradition.

My review is only based on my carry out experience. Right next door to my hotel. Got the rise and shine breakfast and biscuits and gravy. Over easy eggs — cold and barely cooked Hash browns — cold and cooked but almost raw Bacon — good taste but room temperature and stuck together Biscuits — room temperature and kinda hard but good taste Gravy — AMAZINGLYHOTANDTASTY I called, picked it up 5 minutes later and brought it back to the hotel next door so not much time for it to get cold. Price was good and staff was friendly.

They do breakfast right! Eggs cooked to order, crispy hashbrowns with some crispy bacon(YUM). The coffee could be better, though. Service was excellent. Prompt and attentive waitress. Overall a very good experience.

Don’t normally have a bad experience at a Bob Evans, but this one needs to get my scrambled eggs a little more done. Looked good on the outside, but after a couple bites the middle was a little too mushy yet. Otherwise everything else was okay.
