I was trying to set up my Oregon trip and it took three months before they bothered to return any of my calls or email. The glassblowing its self was fun. And my things turned out nice. But after almost two weeks when my stuff hadn’t shown up I called and left a message. Of course they didn’t call back. But a few days later my things came and the tracking showed they shipped it the day after I called. I don’t know if they would have sent it if I wouldn’t have called. I wont go back. In the future I will go back to the other glassblowing studio in Newport where I did glass on the same day and had a great time.

I’m a happy camper! We went to the glass blowing class today and Amanda was our teacher. She was fabulous, knowledgeable, and fun! I made a float bowl of oranges, yellows, and reds, and my partner created a stuffed float which is a bowl filled with items found on a beach, like little starfish and shells. The colors she chose were a collection of blues, greens, and whites. Amanda was with us every step of the way and helped us make a beautiful artistic piece of blown glass which we will be able to pick up tomorrow after a night of cooling. The shop itself has tons of gorgeous glass art for sale if you don’t feel like making your own. Want some entertainment? You can sit and watch others make their glass art. All in all a must-do Newport experience. The Edge Rocks!

Went with out of town guests, arrived before scheduled time. Employee’s didn’t seem to care 4 new people were in shop. Class was ok, one person did inverted bowl and asked to have it titled, told no problem. Guests had to leave so we went to pick pick up bowls. Shop hours said they were open but locked up, left and returned later still closed and no sign explaining. We tried calling, only got machine. Did same for 4 more days, still closed. When finally open employee’s were not friendly, didn’t apologize and acted like we were interrupting their day. Then bowl that was supposed to be tilted had half of base sanded down to sit flat and looked awful, was told the person who pulled and blower didn’t communicate and they would let him blow new one(friends are not from here). So disappointed

This is our second year coming here and it is not a fluke. 5 big ones for these folks! My youngest(15), is the«Artsy» one, so she is always game for blowing her own float as is my cousins two older kids, ages 8 and 10. Well, this year I was rail roaded into doing it also. Pretty cool! The helpful instructor, Amanda, who helped us last year, does everything in a safe, friendly and professional manner. She also has a funny sense of humor! Figure out what you want(a float, star fish, vase or whatever), pick out your colors, don some safety glasses and you instructor will walk you and guide you through what you have to do. Keep in mind that a child must be 8 years or older due to insurance regulations. Also, I strongly suggest reservations. How did my float turn out, you ask? Beautiful, thanks to Amanda’s help!

On the coast for a girlfriends’ weekend for a 50th birthday, the three of us decided that glass blowing would be a fun experience and also provide a unique souvenir from our trip. Amanda, our teacher, was wonderful, the experience was both educational and a ton of fun. Highly recommend!

This shop is great because they have a seated viewing area. Customers or passers by can come in and watch professional glass blowing. I heard a rumor that they even let customers help create their own item, but you’ll have to call to verify.
