Tepui Tents

Awesome buying experience. Griffin was really helpful, when I called he had the ruggedized Kukenam in stock, and it arrived in Kansas City in 3 days.
First, the tent is awesome. I was so tired of ground tents and staking them down. I mounted my Tepui a little differently than most and don’t use the ladder, so I can’t comment on the ladder. However I can comment on the strength and watertight abilities because we had a huge storm in the Black Hills our first trip out. No leaks, the awnings over the windows held up perfectly.
My wife added lots of blankets and pillows and we call it our cocoon because it’s really comfy once we crawl in there. In 30 degree weather there’s no need for a heater–
The cover is the hardest part about dealing with this tent and it’s not that big of a deal at all; but it’s worth mentioning. It’s goes on just fine it just takes a little bit to zip it all up, and is more durable and thicker than I expected.
Overall totally happy after many days in the tent and nothing is broken or problematic. It travels great and we look forward to many years of use.

I am writing this based on customer service because we have not yet gotten to use our new tent. My husband and I had been eyeing the Kukenam Sky for months. We finally decided to purchase but the tent was out of stock. We missed the boat twice when they restocked and then my husband called to find out when Tepui would be getting more in stock. It turned out the date lined up perfectly with a camping trip in Big Sur that we had planned. We live in Bakersfield, so to drive to Santa Cruz to pick something up is a long way. The plan was to go get our brand spankin new tent and take it to Big Sur but then we found out they are closed on Saturdays when we were coming through. We understood & just took our backpacking tent & decided we would at least make a detour on way home to pick up our Kukenam Sky to save the time & gas. As soon as we had service after camping, my husband called to confirm they still had in stock. Apparently, you must have an appointment to pick up and install but they knew we were a long way from home and were willing to accommodate us. When we got to the shop in Santa Cruz, we quickly learned that our rack was not stable enough for the tent. It was an old and brittle factory made rack on our 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We really, really appreciated the honesty! The guys at the shop were quick to improvise. They made sure we could still take our tent home; loaned us tie downs & secured the tent in a box to our roof. They recommended us racks, gave us tips for installing & sent us home feeling confident! Anyways, the point to my rambling was to thank them for their honesty & flexibility to accommodate us! We ordered our new rack & cannot wait to get our new tent on the road.

My husband has been wanting a Tepui Tent since the day he found out about them. Unfortunately they were constantly sold out of the one he wanted. They are always in-​demand! Amazingly, we got a call from Tepui saying they had one in stock and if we came in and picked it up, we could have it! We drove right over and they helped us put the box on top of the truck and strap it down. The two guys at the shop were super fun and helpful.
We got it home and quickly started putting it together. It was surprisingly easy, especially with the video they have online. It might be a bit heavy for just me and husband to get it up onto the roof, but we will find help. We are very happy with our purchase and can’t wait to take it out on the roof of our 4Runner!

After emailing back and forth with Griffin, I was able to set up a time to come up and pick up a Autana model tent. Griffin walked me through the install process and was extremely helpful. After my first trip to Pismo Beach, I can say with no doubt that I am a fan of Tepui Tents for life. It was so convenient and easy to use.

I’m super stoked on my newly purchased Tepui tent. I got it for my pathfinder and it looks great! Everyone in the shop in Santa Cruz was super friendly & helpful. I even got to practice opening and setting it up with help on how to improve. I would highly recommend this business to anyone interested in getting an awesome tent that travels with you anywhere. The quality of the tent is top notch and the set up is straightforward and easy. Thanks to everyone at Tepui I am very happy!

I am completly in with you guys now. So Stoked! I picked up the two Kukamans today and it was a seamless painless transaction. I just looked at the Kukenam XL Ruggedized in Orange and I want one of those as well. Their shop is functional and their tents are freaking gorgeous. Rooftop tents are the way to go. We had a hardtop tent however we switched to the clamshell type because they are bigger in size. We use them on our budget campervans based on the Dodge Grand Caravan,
