Salesman was a complete jerk. It would have cost me $ 80.00 for a local delivery. I told them it’s free at local lowes to see if they would work with me. The guy flew off the handle and said sears has professional delivery and knocked lowes. It’s a delivery get over it.

We recently moved from the Bay Area and were unfamiliar with the«Hometown Store» setup but have had two great experiences so far. We ordered a washer and dryer with fantastic assistance in store and then had them delivered a week later. I cannot say enough good things about the delivery team! They were professional, polite, efficient and even made me laugh on a very stressful move-in day. We returned a few days after to order a part for our refrigerator and had the same great experience as before. We really like being able to support a local business but have the inventory of a larger store.

I went over there last Friday to return a special order lawn mower part that was the wrong part. Holly the clerk had ordered it in early January. I had just returned from vacation the day before and the part was in my held usps mail. The female clerk Friday would not give me a refund, she kept saying since it was over thirty days they could not accept the return. I was furious. I had tried to explain to her that the part was supposed to arrive by January 9th, I had hung around in Sonora waiting for it until the 12th but it still hadn’t shown up. It was their fault the part was wrong. She got very defensive and under no circumstances would she do anything to right their mistake. The manager or owner or whoever it was kept quiet and didn’t offer any assistance either. I stomped out of the store, vowing never to return. What awful customer service and attitude. I would give them zero stars if possible. My wife then called up the Sears customer service toll free number. The rep Tristan apologized profusely for this treatment. He said their policy is 365 days for parts return, no questions asked. He credited my credit card account right then and there. Excellent customer service. What a difference compared to the local Sears. I cannot recommend that store to anyone.

We stopped here to buy a blower and on the way out thought we had been overcharged, but weren’t sure, and just went home. I stopped by the next morning to pick up some Tool chests and they greeted me with an $ 18 credit for the overcharge from the previous night. The lady at the cash register was very helpful and had even tried to contact us after we left the store the previous night. I got a great deal on the craftsman tool chests and I will definitely be back for future purchases. Excellent customer service!

We needed an electric dryer and went to Lowe’s first. After standing around for nearly 15 minutes, we decided to leave because no one came to help us or even acknowledged us. We decided to go to Sears, unsure about their selection and prices. When we arrived at Sears, they greeted us immediately and very warmly. We found that even with just two gals working there, we felt welcomed right away. Also the price of the electric dryer was WAY cheaper than Lowes. The customer service here is AWESOME!!! The gal that we spoke to was on the ball, very informative and extremely helpful. They have a pretty decent selection for a small store. We will definitely be going back again!

I went in and bought a Craftsman weed trimmer at Sears. I took it home and it didn’t have the power I needed so I brought it back. John was a great help and I took another one home, more powerful than the first and it worked great!!! They were very nice and helpful, something you dont get in a big store or a big town. This is what small town friendly service is all about. I didn’t pay anymore and I hope by buying local I did my part. They sure did theirs!!! John and the owner Susan were terrific! Steve
