Good food! Great wings! Good beer on tap! Small town feel. Shuffleboard and pool tables.

One of my favorite places to go and have a few beers and play some pool and get a bite to eat. Went there when they first opened before I was incarcerated and I left a $ 2 bill for their dollar wall and the owner, Fred, said he’ll buy me a drink when I got out. Sure enough he kept his word. Knowing the owner and the waitresses always makes for a welcoming visit. If you’re nearby you should definitely stop by. It is a family place though so don’t drop the F-bomb too much or they point to the sign that they put up because I have the tendency to drop F-bombs when I’m having fun.

We love this little place. Best Fish n Chips ever! The owner and the staff are super friendly and you can’t beat the price! The location is a little funny. If you’re not familiar with the area, it might be difficult to find.

Great place to spend an evening! They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. Also, their beer on tap is top in this county; an excellent selection!

This pub has become my new must go to spot. The service is so friendly, food so consistently good and beer on tap. I have been here three times in two weeks, and I would go back. Try the BBQ oysters, for a small pub they are nothing that you would expect. I would also recommend blackberry cobbler!

I love Neighbors! Super friendly environment, really personable staff. The food is okay. Good beer selection on tap. Prices aren’t bad for food. Always good wait staff, and that helps make the meal I think.

We came here last night just to hang out and always like to support local restaurants. I appreciate they open up a place for locals. It must very hard to have a business in this area when you know your customers are limited. Menu is typical bar menu with addition to few other dinner menu. Price is fair. I had BBQ oysters and it was served with rice. I enjoyed it. My dessert wine was good. My husband had baked potato and all the condiments. Wish they make the chili home-made. He also enjoyed his beer. We both enjoyed our time there. Service was great.

We have been to this place twice. There is usually a board full of specials, generally that are home made. My wife had a chicken asparagus casserole which she liked. For a buck, you can get a salad from the salad bar. It a pretty limited salad bar and the bowls are small, but hey, it’s a buck. I had the chili on our recent meal. It tasted exactly like Dennison’s right out of the can. It was loaded with cheese and red onions. Can’t beat the prices, which are very reasonable. We had the home made strawberry rhubarb cobbler with some vanilla ice cream on top. It was great. I was very pleasantly surprised with a prosecco that I had. Very tasty with a honey finish. Odd combo, chili and prosecco, but it worked for me. Very friendly service. Good value. Good service. Ok food. Update. Went again last night. Very friendly waitress. My daughter and I had BBQ oysters. What a treat! I had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. The bun was a bit small, but was packed with meat and fresh onions and pepper. Hit the spot.

I love Neighbors! The food is good and the beer is cold. Prices are fair I just wish they had more vegetarian options. The owner is a cool guy. Very laid back place. Will definitely go back!

Been there twice now, been great both times. The first with my wife and daughter, we all loved the service and the food. We both has the Chile Verde Casserole, which we though was very good. Daughter liked the Chicken sandwich. The next time I went there with a friend for burgers, we were both surprised how good they were. They also have excellent cobbler, rotating either Apple, Blueberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, and peach. Both times the owner came over to our table to see if everything was ok. A friendly place we will go back to again.

The beer was good and nice and cold, hence me giving one star for that. Food however is another story. The fries were good, but the chicken sandwich I ordered left much to behold. I am not a fan of mayo, and told the waitress I didn’t want the chipotle mayo on my sandwich, and when the sandwich came out I still tasted mayo. Come to find out all the bread is grilled with mayo. This wouldn’t be a problem if this was made clear prior to ordering, but where it is printed in the menu is on the back underneath the drinks in very small print. After eating only half the sandwich the waitress came and picked up the plates, and while she was walking to the kitchen I overheard her say to the cook«I guess he didn’t like his sandwich because he only ate half». The cook asked if I had said anything and she said no and they had a discussion about how it didn’t matter. I don’t mind if you are going to talk about customers, but a word of advice, don’t do it where the customers can hear you!!! The chicken was very dry and bland as well. I would come back for more beers and to play pool or shuffleboard and watch some sports on TV, and if I would get food I would propably get something out of the fryer.

Menu is confusing, specials are posted in various places around the restaurant so it’s hard to know what to order. Had the fish tacos for $ 3. You get what you pay for, not so great, two small corn tortillas with deep fried fish triangle cut in half with some lettuce sprinkled with a bit of cilantro. I didn’t know fish came in triangles? Salad bar consists of bag salad, some carrots, tomato and onion; that and pickled jalapeños, for those that like pickled jalapeños on thier salad. Looks like a fun bar but not an eatery I’d go back to.

We have eaten here a couple of times, and considering how cheap the food is, pleasantly surprised. Of course you can’t expect a gourmet meal for $ 7, and you have to understand who they are catering to. Being off the beaten track, their customers are mostly coming from the Crystal Falls area nearby. Mostly retired or working class people the bar will hopefully attract the guys one step above those who line up at the Minimart buying a twelver of Natty Light and a bag of Doritos for their dinner. The food selection also serves the bar guys or the family types looking for a reasonably priced lunch or dinner. Their getting that, and the specials are usually a casserole cooked up by the owners. We recently got the carne asada casserole, filling and tasty, but authentically Mexican of course not. Will we go back, yes.

This review is based on the food only. This little restaurant/bar is close to my house. I had high hopes for good food. When we arrived, we sat at the bar. We got a menu from the bar tender/waitress, and ordered. I had the fajita burrito and my wife had the pulled pork with fries. The fries were pretty good, but that’s where it ended. My fajita burrito(fajita fixings wrapped up like a burrito) was dry and bland. There was no sauce and absolutely no seasoning. the chicken inside was dry and overcooked as well. I asked my wife how hers was, and she said the same. Dry and flavorless with no sauce. BBQ sauce was served in the side, but it was bland and uninspired. To be fair, I overheard the owner say something about just hiring a new cook, and as far as the owner goes, he seems very nice and personable. He had no problem getting behind the bar and taking drink orders. I will return again in the future and give them another shot. I truly hope that the owner reads these reviews and uses them as a tool to do better.

I’ve been holding of on a critique of this place for a while because they have a lot of potential to do very wel… but someone has got to say something! Neighbors’ Pub and Grub: A great idea, but terrible food! You may wonder why their prices are so affordable… probably because you are getting what you pay for: cheap, frozen, reheated, flavorless food. I mistakenly ordered fish tacos for lunch one day. This is what I got in order from bottom to top: — Slightly warm, sweaty, very boring tortillas. — A very frozen-then-reheated«fish fillet», the kind Sysco supplies to school cafeterias, AKA some unknown kind of minced up «white fish» pressed into a cakeform, battered, and fried. — The most depressing pico de gallo I have ever seen. White cabbage, sickly pale pink obviously GMO tomato, and wilted cilantro. No peppers, onion, or anything to spice up these very bland tacos. I was unfortunately starving, so I quickly swallowed them down like jagged pills and left promptly in search of better food. When they were putting together this restaurant… what happened? Who is the head chef? Did they get cooking lessons at Wal-Mart? Do they have any culinary experience outside of mac’n’cheese and hotdogs?! Maybe instead of spending all of that money on the multitude of flat screen tvs scattered throughout the establishment, they should have hired a well-seasoned chef to come up with bar food to be proud to serve. I’m sure their beer is great(because they don’t make it), and the atmosphere would be fun with some better lighting(not florescent office lights)…but you can’t have a family restaurant that survives on beer sales and quarters from the pool table and shuffle board. The kids gotta eat, too. And I doubt any child would be begging to be taken out to a restaurant that can’t top the hot dogs that are in the fridge at home. Another poorly planned Tuolumne County restaurant business surely to go belly up unless they get business advisement from someone who knows what they are doing. Good luck!
