I have gotten take-out as well as eaten here in person and I have to say everything tastes better when you get it fresh on the spot! This place is also pretty cheap, but it’s kind kind of a toss up on how good it’ll be. The fried chicken hearts and the mango salmon bao are really good, but I’ve also had some more meh items like marinated crispy chicken and the pork bao. Overall though, I would come back!

This is a nice surprise in powerhouse sq. The volume of food is a great value, the Bao bao’s are amazing and you get like 10 dumplings in an order!

This place is amazing! I have been dying to try their Bao Bao and was not disappointed! I got the pork bao, they were amazing!!! Also got the crab rangoon, very crispy and delicious. In addition to being super delicious it’s cheap! I paid $ 10 and have leftovers. Very nice woman working when I went too :) Definitely try it out!

Me and a friend stopped by for a bite while waiting for our movie at Somerville Theatre to start. I grabbed some of the house noodles with beef. The taste was pretty average and more on the sweet side, but it was not expensive so I was not too upset.(Less than $ 9 with taxes). However, my friend got the fried rice with shrimp and she wasn’t too pleased with the taste. I tried hers and actually preferred the taste of the rice than the noodles. The portion is pretty big that I was able to save some for the next day. While, it’s not too far of a walk from the theatre(7 min), you have to take many short streets so be careful when walking to not get run over by cars.

Just ordered chicken and beef bao bao after hearing good things from a friend. I was not disappointed. Presentation is great, they looked and smelled very enticing. Great texture too, they’re just so fluffy. The beef was seasoned really well. They were delicious. Impressed with the service as a nice lady took my order and the driver who made the delivery was also very pleasant. I will definitely be going back.

We ordered takeout from here for a big family gathering. I thought it was better-than-average Chinese takeout in general. Everything was fresh-tasting and well executed. For me, the standout dish was the bao bao. The smoked salmon and mango version was to die for delicious! A very unusual combination of ingredients that worked together brilliantly! We will definitely go back.

Good food cheap, nothing more to say. I’ve lived in Chinatown pretty much my whole life and this place is better than a good number of restaurants in it.

Really good place. The owner is super friendly, and the portions are quite big. Their bao bao is one of the best, and the marinated rice plate is amazing. Also the hot and sour soup is awesome as well. On some evenings it gets crowded and service is a little slow since they don’t have much staff. But other than that, great place!

Attention big eaters! Went today for first time I got the Pork Bao Boa, the wings and the Dumplings. The Bao Bao was a meal in itself for a normal eater. Buns were light and sweet. Pork was tender with green onions and a white sauce. Price 5 bucks! The wing maybe the best value around. 9 jumbo wings. Very good wings crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Price 6 bucks! I got the dumplings fried. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Price 6.95! Very good food for a very good price. Staff was very friendly. She offered me ice water while I waited for order. I will be back soon.

1hr 45 min is an absolutely unacceptable wait time for a delivery order. I called and they said they are still cooking. What a joke of a restaurant. Never ordering or going here again.

This place is amazing! We had time to kill before our flight and found this place at random and we are so glad we did! We had the pork bao bao and it was delicious! I’ve never had one like this and I wish I had sooner! The prices are insanely cheap! My fiancé(a big eater) and I had to split the chicken lo mein because the adorable waitress brought out this heaping plate of it. It was perfect! I’m sad to have to get on the plane now because I’d love to stay and try some of the other things on their menu! Highly recommended!

Just to echo some of the reviews I’ve seen on here: this place is small, cute, and full of delicious food. If you don’t get the bao bao here, you’re a fool. I dreamt about it the night I had them. The bun is so tender and the pork is delicious! I think their lunch menu is ridiculously cheap(on the order of $ 7.95) for a lot of food. The prices go up for dinner, but this place has decidedly better food than many of the other Chinese places around, so it’s still worth it. I’ve never had a problem with picking up food from here, and the lady behind the counter is very sweet!

This little restaurant is just around the corner from my house. It’s fairly new to the block. It has a very nice eat in dining room and clean. I really like their hot & sour soup. But the best item on the menu is the Crispy Chicken Hearts ***** yes 5 stars for this appetizer

Convenient for me and absolutely delicious. The bao baos are a lifesaver. Highly recommended. Their lo-mein is pretty standard fare, but the portion size was massive(ate for a couple future meals as a side). Shoot for something interesting, or just go for the bao baos. Before they raise prices.

This place is so great! You don’t expect much when browsing the menu and seeing how inexpensive everything is, but I have never underestimated a place so much! Like everyone says, the pork buns are really good, better than I’ve had at most higher end restaurants. For the entrée I got the marinated rice plate with chicken. I was really hungry coming in and urged my girlfriend to order her own dish, but boy was I glad she didn’t. The portions here are HUGE. And it’s loaded with meat! I almost wished there was more rice!(That’s a joke — meat always and forever). The style of the dish didn’t seem very Chinese/Japanese at all. In fact it reminded me a lot of chicken over rice from the halal guys in NYC. The plate is covered in this delicious white sauce, and if you want to add a kick you can ask for sriracha. All in all, this place is just fantastic — great food, great price, and great portions. Definitely coming back! PS– free wifi!

Love their hot and sour soup. The lady who owns and manages the place is so smiley. She knows I will order my soup everytime I come in. So she sees, she smiles: D It is a small cute eat in, take out. Highly recommended! Plus, prices are very reasonable. Still do not forget to tip them: D

I had heard a lot of hype about Teriyaki House before finally coming. I’ve walked past this place so many times and never noticed it. I’m a little confused because its called«Teriyaki House» but most items on the menu have nothing to do with teriyaki and are not Japanese. Everything on the menu is under $ 10. They don’t have a «lunch menu» so you might need to ask about what menu items are eligible for the lunch deal. Their stir-fries, lo-meins, fried rices, and teriyakis are all available with choice of hot+sour soup or egg drop soup for $ 6.50. I ordered the chicken stir-fry and my friends ordered the beef lo-mein and scallion pancakes. Scallion pancakes were way better than I expected. There are many different ways to make scallion pancake, but this one was cripsy(not greasy and thick) and came a sweet soy sauce. My stir-fry was fine. Came in a HUGE portion, with lots of chicken/broccoli/snow peas. I liked that they didn’t fill the whole plate with rice. I don’t believe there is a way to make outstanding chicken stir-fry. It was good for what it was. The same goes for the beef lo-mein. It was also HUGE. It wasn’t over-loaded with soy sauce, which was good. Again, there isn’t really a way to make great lo-mein while only charging $ 6.50. The lunch special can EASILY be used for 2 meals. I would say that their egg drop and hot+sour soup were really good though. Way better than they would be at the average chinese takeout place. If I go again I wouldn’t get stir fry or lo-mein again. I would try their teriyaki or their baobaos. Stir-fry and lo-mein are very standard Chinese take-out dishes and I’m never in love with them. But so many place mess up these basic dishes. At least teriyaki house did them right. For a place that primarily does takeout, the interior is actually pretty nice. Clean and bright. The service is also pretty good. Good about filling water and food came out in a timely manner given that the place was pretty busy when we went. 3 stars for the food but the extra star is for the massive amount of food you get for such a low price.

The voting for this restaurant is ABSOLUTELY rigged by their family and friends. After eating this the other night — mind you I was NOT sober and would have eaten a f*ckin towel — I proclaimed to my girlfriend that his was my worst purchase of 2014. That’s probably a stretch but it’s not too far off. Look at my rating history — I give tons of 4s and 5s. This was terrible. The pork fried rice was just flavorless and the pork seemed like what you might get at a school lunch. The chicken teriyaka meal was… odd??? It was in some weird, watery, flavorless«sauce»? I literally threw the whole thing away. The rangoons were dope though. 5STARS. No, jk. Eff this place man.

Was not expecting much from a place called ‘Teriyaki House’, but the food was really impressive. The place was empty when we went in on a Sunday around 6pm, but they seem to do most of their business via take-out/delivery. We sat near their beta fish, which I lovingly named Howard. We ordered the braised pork bao and I thought it was wonderful. A heapful of scallions and some sort of creamy mayo sauce over moist pork. The bun was a little oversteamed, so the pork juice broke apart the bun pretty quickly after a couple of minutes. May be something to think about if you’re getting delivery. I got the beef stir fry with broccoli. The portion size is ridiculous — the leftovers I took out made for another 1 – 2 meals. Fresh veggies(cabbage, broccoli, snow peas, carrots) and hot crispy beef. My boyfriend got stir-fried udon with shrimp, chicken, and pork, which was also great(tasted amazing 3 hours later from the fridge, too). They did, however, pack our leftovers in styrofoam takeout boxes and a paper bag, and all of the sauce from our food ended up leaking all over our hands within 5 minutes of walking. Wish they started packing their food in plasticware? Overall, a nice, place to order from/visit if you’re looking for Chinese food that’s kicked up a notch and a little less MSG-laced/greasy.
