I wasn’t sure Stephen could help me with an old, seriously cracked photo of my mom, aunt, and dad – it was not in good condition at all! But he did an excellent job, and now I have beautiful prints of one of my favorite photos. I am so pleased with his work.
Stephen kept me informed about every step of the process, and was done in what seemed like no time. He even gave me a ride home on a rainy evening because I’d taken the bus to his studio! What a nice, and talented, guy.

I took a picture to Stephen from the mid 1800s of one of the first Sarahs in a long line of Sarahs. He researched to find out what type of picture it was, an ambrotype, and restored it and gave me multiple print and digital options of the picture. He took such an interest in how precious this was to me. I am giving images of this to my Mom for Christmas (Sarah 6) and my granddaughter (Sarah 9) and niece (Sarah 8). He was so personable and professional. I would highly recommend his for any picture restoring. I am returning to him when I get pictures of all of the Sarahs to make a collage of them.

I am so glad I found Stephen, he is very talented at restoring pictures and is wonderful to work with. I brought him an old picture from the 1970s and he restored it so beautifully! Don’t be surprised when you arrive and you pull up to Stephen’s house, he works out of his home but has a very professional studio area.

I had a roughly 87 year old picture of my grandfather recently worked on by Stephen. Stephen does a digital enhancement/​correction of the photo and provides you with prints and a CD of the photos.
The condition of the original photo was pretty awful-​crumbling apart and filled with years of settled-​in dirt. I wasn’t certain how well it could come out. I am truly amazed by the clarity; I believe the picture is probably better now than it was new 87 years ago!
Will definitely be back!

Brought several old photos to Stephen. He scanned and enhanced them to make them look as good as the originals. I had one digital photo that had some problems due to camera movement, lighting and distance from subject. He did an amazing job clearing up the problems, enlarging the photo to accentuate the subject and made lovely prints. The prints were a bit hit with the family!
Will definitely use him again!

If you are looking to have damaged photos restored — this is definately your place! We had a number of family photos over 100 years old that were in very poor condition. Steve @ Picture Renewal did an outstanding job of salvaging our family treasures. We were nervous about leaving our photos in someone else’s care, and certainly did not want to mail them off to an anonymous service. Steve instilled confidence, knows his business, and took excellent care of our project. We will be using his services again and highly recommend him.
