Paws In the ‘Ville

I wholeheartedly agree with all of these rave reviews. The entire PITV team is friendly and dependable, and most importantly, they all LOVE dogs. I am the first one to admit that I am a nervous dog mom, and PITV has earned my utmost trust. The daily text updates (complete with photos) are so comforting. I feel super confident that Tatum is in great hands every day that they come to walk her. So happy I found them! Four paws way up!

I absolutely love Paws in the Ville. They have been amazing from Day 1. The owner Seana came to my house ahead of time to meet me, meet my dog, and talk about the plan going forward. Immediately you could see her love of dogs, how much experience she had, and that my dog would be in great hands with her or any of the other PITV walkers. These guys go above and beyond, and really give individual care and attention to my dog’s needs. Not only does Tammy walk my dog, she has worked patiently with him on socializing him and his barking issues. Bonus is how she stays in great touch and sends texts/​photos every single walk about the day and any tips she may have. I have absolutely noticed a positive difference in my dog’s behavior, and he is so happy when I get home after work. It’s also obvious how much my dog loves Tammy when I saw how excited he got when she came to the door. Amazing, professional, trustworthy, reliable and fun. These guys are the best!!!

If I could give Paws in the Ville 10 stars, I would! We have been so incredibly happy with their service, and genuine love for our big newfie puppy. Andy is incredible and Seana has been wonderful too. We are SO lucky to have found these guys!

This review is long overdue…
Seana came to our house to meet with us and our two puppies, and right away I could tell by their reactions that she was the one. We had met with a few other people but Seana with Paws in the Ville was by far the best. Thankfully she was able to help us out on short notice.
Seana treated them as if they were her own. She texted us pics and gave us regular updates, which we didn’t even ask her to do…
We haven’t needed our pups walked in awhile but whenever we do we will definitely contact Paws in the Ville first!

I didn’t appreciate how great Paws in the ‘Ville was until we moved out of Somerville and had to find a new walker. We worked with 2 of their walkers — Allison and Cate — and they were both amazing with our hyper lab mix, including helping with leash training and adorable notes and text message pictures of the walk every day.

It’s been absolutely wonderful having Rebecca come spend time with my dog during my work day :) The whole crew is very professional and caring, and it’s comforting being able to trust that Scarlet is well cared for. I love getting a text and a picture and knowing that Scarlet has had a nice walk in the middle of the day! Pricing is good and they were willing to work with me since my dog doesn’t need a ton of active play, it’s money well spent!

We love Katie… and Trotter loves Katie. We’ve noticed some nice behavioral «enhancements» since Katie started walking Trotter, which was an unexpected plus! Katie is also very helpful in ensuring back up if she has a scheduling conflict. Much appreciated. Love the «pack leader» concept too. Thank you and congrats Katie, Seana and team!

I don’t know where I would be without Jill and Kim, as well as Katie for a while, Seana, and Lori. The PITV crew save me and my pup Diezel on a daily basis. With my terrible daily commute, regular work travel, and occasional work emergency they are always there to lend a paw/​hand. There aren’t enough stars on Unilocal to give them. Thank you thank you thank you PITV for all that you do. Absolutely the best!

Paws in the ‘Ville is hands (paws?) down one of the things I will miss most about Somerville.
When I found out I’d be moving here this summer, I was extremely worried about finding someone to take care of my sweet but stranger-​wary rescue dog, Mowgli. I saw the five-​star reviews for Paws in the ‘Ville, emailed Seanna, and within days, was introduced to Jessy, Mowgli’s dog walker. From the moment Jessy met Mowgli, I knew it was a good match. My dog can be reactive toward strangers at first, but Jessy took it slowly — walking him alone for the first few days and gaining his trust before taking him on outings to the dog park. Since then, I’ve been spending my work days at peace knowing Mowgli has been romping around the ‘ville with Jessy and his new canine pals every afternoon.
Besides always being on-​time and knowing how to work with shelter dogs, Paws in the ‘Ville is incredibly communicative — sending me pictures and texts with updates on how Mowgli was every single day. I couldn’t be happier with their services and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a dog walker in Somerville.

For some reason Unilocal Isn’t letting me rate this a 10 star business, so I’ll have to settle on 5. Paws in the ‘Ville has been a lifesaver for us since adopting our Boston Terrier, Moose, when he was just 8 weeks old. Not only have Seana and her crew been able to keep Moose happy, healthy, and (most importantly) nice and exhausted, but they have also all but eliminated the anxieties of new, nervous parents.
Seana’s facility with animals is evident and obvious from the moment she meets your four-​legged friend. Despite having vast training experience of her own, Seana has always been extremely accommodating to coordinate with us to ensure that Moose is being dealt with consistently. Where some take an «I know better» approach, Seana recognizes that each of her clients has a different set of needs, and she always rises to the occasion.
For example, when we found ourselves heading to San Francisco just weeks after engaging Seana, arranging for care of our puppy was a no brainer. Seana stayed in our guest room, got up with Moose at 3 hour intervals to ensure crate training went smoothly, and texted us updates and pictures almost hourly — all while commuting back and forth during the day to care for her own dog as well as meeting her obligations to her other clients. I could list dozens of additional examples of Seana blowing my already high expectations completely out of the water.
Seana is flexible, compassionate, and routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty — not to mention that at her current prices she’s a total steal! I would strongly recommend Seana and her Paws in the ‘Ville team to anyone looking for dog walking or dog care services.

Seana and Alison are the Batman and Robin of the Boston-​area dog walking universe. When I moved from Davis to Kendall Square, I unfortunately had to leave PITV and take another walker for my yellow lab pup, Shelby. It was then that I realized that all dog walkers are most certainly NOT created equal. The service I switched to was inattentive to Shelby’s needs and my specific requests. To add crap icing onto the crap cake, they were impolite to the concierge in my apt building.
After some poking, prodding and flat-​out begging, Seana and Alison agreed to extend their service area out to Kendall and now Shelby (and I, by extension) couldn’t be happier. I get daily written notes and text messages as well as a treasure trove of great dog raising /​training information. PITV is the cheese to my macaroni. The end.

Thank goodness for Paws In the ‘Ville!!! I cannot say enough about the whole crew! Seana is amazing and so are Mel & Michele! After coming out of a nightmare of a doggie daycare — where dogs went unsupervised for hours on end — Dexter, our American pit bull started to come home with «battle wounds». We immediately pulled him from the daycare. Dexter was learning bad habits and started to worry us. We tried a couple walkers and found nothing was working out. My wife remembered meeting Seana at a pet store with her dog and said we needed to call her. Best thing we could have done. Since then we basically have had our pup trained and happy. Its started with Jessie — she trained Dexter to sit — fetch — drop etc. Like a PRO. Dexter is now the Ultimate ball player. Seana has taken over seeing Dexter and he is happier than ever. The love of animals Seana has is amazing! We recently had our cat pass away and Seana sat on our kitchen floor feeding him milk while we were at work. She goes above and beyond. Last minute emergency walks — No problem. Mel and Michele are also fantastic! I get cool pictures and videos sent along with a daily journal on how are little guy is doing. Bottom line– If you need someone to watch your best friend — look no further. This is the best you will find!!! As long as we live here — Paws in the ‘Ville will be part of our life! Thanks to the Paws in the ‘Ville super crew!!!

We found Seana shortly after she struck out on her own to form Paws in the ‘Ville and worked with her for over a year until we moved to Chicago. Seana is fantastic with dogs AND people — she’s very friendly, communicative and clearly a dog lover. She regularly texted with updates on Zo’s outings and flagged potential problems (if Zo was acting funky, for example). We also loved that PITV does outings to the dog park — not just a 15-​minute walk around the block.

I recently changed positions in my company and with my longer hours I needed to find someone to walk Scrimshaw for me during the weekdays. I could tell when I had my first meeting with Seana that she loves what she does. She is extremely knowledgeable, and will leave little notes about how his walk was and how much he ran around and played. Scrim is so happy and content when I get home. I absolutely recommend Paws in the ‘Ville!

Seana is fantastic with our Oscar (a greater swiss mountain dog). She has been taking care of Oscar for almost a year now. We rest easy knowing we trust her in our house and that she loves our Oscar as much as we do. She also does a great job noticing/​observing certain things that could be of concern for him (health or behavior-​wise) and is always not only willing but more than able to help us reinforce new training habits. Seana started working with Oscar in our first week of getting him, and he loves her so much!!!

So glad I went with Paws in the ‘Ville. Seana is wonderful! I have a five month old puppy and she knows exactly how to stimulate her and tire her out. I would absolutely recommend this walking service– they are the best by far.

Paws In the ‘Ville is wonderful. The owner is professional, responsible, and great with dogs! My 2 year old dog goes for walks or play group at least twice a week, and she loves it! I definitely recommend the company for anyone with a dog in the Somerville area.

We have a «special needs» dog, as I like to call him. He is a rescue who does not like other dogs, and attempts to attack joggers and bikers. Needless to say, walking him can be quite difficult. But because of his anxiety, exercise is extremely important for him.
Jessie and Seana came over and immediately were on the floor playing with our dog. He loved them both was obviously very comfortable with them. The both knew a lot about dogs and behavior problems, and were more than willing to work with him.
Jessie has been walking him for about a week now and when I come home he is in such a good mood! He is very happy and relaxed. There is definitely less anxiety and barking at night. They do a great job and I feel very comfortable leaving my «baby» in their hands.

Seana was punctual, polite and Shearer (my border collie) came back pretty relaxed (i.e. exercised) and happy. Need to rebook…
