Mr. B’s Italian Restaurant

A week later I have yet to receive my refund on the food I ordered and waited a hour and some minutes for, that I also never received.

I called to order two large pepperoni & bacon pizzas.
The first time they mumbled something I couldn’t understand, and then after some shuffling of the phone they hung up.
I called back and tried to place the order again and after I said what I wanted they told me that my number was blocked, followed by something fast that I couldn’t understand and hung up on me again.
The third time I called (I was starving) they said «oh it’s coming up now.» (my number). I placed the order again and stated I was paying by card. He said it will be $ 39 and change. He paused, and then said oh wait I forgot the delivery charge. Someone else grabbed the phone and asked what I wanted. I said I already placed the order and he said oh yea, so you want a large cheese Pizza and a large Pizza with half roni and half bacon? I said no and again clearly explained what I wanted. He finally got the order and told me the total was $ 45 and change.
If they’re really expecting me to pay that much for two pizzas, they are out of their minds. I’ve ordered from here twice before and it was disgusting. The only reason I even considered it was because nothing else is open at this time and me and my friend were starving.
They’re rude, hard to understand, unprofessional, way too expensive, take forever to deliver, and shouldn’t be in business.
Please, no matter how hungry you are, don’t order from this place. I can promise you that remaining hungry all night is better than ordering from them. You will feel so much regret and anger once you get your food and I don’t want you to feel that way.

Over priced, not worth the money. Please don’t ignore view. Ordered a BBQ dinner plate and got 3 small chicken tenders and a handful of onion rings. Salad looked like it had been sitting for weeks

Worst Pizzeria Ever!
Generally, even bad pizza is decent pizza. This is not the case with Mr. B’s. It was hands down the worst food I’ve ever purchased. We ordered a calzone, cheese pizza and a tomato, mozzarella & basil pizza.
The calzone, which usually consist of mozzarella and ricotta cheese… this was mostly hard, flat dough and some sort of plasticy shredded cheese. That’s it. The cheese pizza consisted the same plasticy cheese and the crust was like burnt crackers. The ultimate awful in the history of bad food came when we started to eat the tomato, basil and mozzarella pie… yes, it had the same burnt cracker crust but the worst part was when we realized that what should have been basil was actually MINT! Who’s making pizza and says to themselves, «so I’m out of basil but I’m gonna go ahead and use mint». I’m baffled.
When we called to discuss the order, the guy screamed and cursed at my brother. Wow. I wish I could’ve given it zero stars.

If you are looking for ‘quality’ late night munchin food in this area, order Helen’s blue zone, take a little drive to Kellys, or scrape out some bagel bites in the fridge. Last night Mr. B’s delivered a burnt, falling apart, buffalo chicken pizza that was, by my best estimate, 70% crust. It was also inedible. I only took two of the lovely buffalo nacho chips (which was a hunk of everything in their kitchen except buff chicken) but I’m blaming all my buzzer beater runs to the bathroom on that poor decision. My girlfriend had about 4 bites of ‘food’ because of this slip up. If you’re about to order from here please, please wait, there are other options.

I called in at 8:35 to do a large order for my co workers and I and someone answered, said we don’t open until 10am, so I proceeded to apologize because the menu does NOT say that, it says Thursdays 8:30−2pm and then 5pm-​4am, the employee just HUNG UP ON ME!!! The person who answered was sooooo rude and they just lost major business from my company. IF i COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD! MR. B’S ON 142 CROSS ST SOMERVILLE MA 2 145 TO BE EXACT!

Ugh. This is the first time I’ve ever ordered delivery and just threw away the food. It was absolutely disgusting, and I’ve eaten some pretty sketchy meals in Central and South America, so I don’t throw «disgusting» around lightly.
Ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon for delivery. The bacon was hands-​down the most shocking thing I’ve ever seen someone call food. It was as limp as spaghetti, a very wrong color of yellow-​brown, and had become somewhat translucent. It looked like it had never had anything to do with a living creature of any type, so I can’t begin to guess it’s origin. And the smell. What a horrible smell. I couldn’t eat the eggs because the bacon was in with the eggs, and even after throwing away the bacon, the eggs smelled strongly of the bacon scent. So gross.
The pancakes, at first glance, were just «meh.» They were kind of thin and rubbery, but edible. After a few bites, though, there was a very strange flavor… and that, combined with the bacon/​eggs fresh in my mind, I just couldn’t eat it. Threw it away and went to McDonalds instead. It’s pretty bad when McDonalds is a step up.
Hubby got french toast and eggs (no bacon — lucky him!) He took a few bites of the french toast and said it wasn’t very good — he said it was the wrong kind of bread for it and had a slightly weird flavor too. He said he’d give the french toast 1.5 stars. But he also thought the eggs looked disgusting, and couldn’t eat them. He also ended up throwing away his food and joined me in a McDonalds repast.
Overall, we’d give this restaurant 0 stars if we could. I will definitely never order from them again, and I consider it my civic duty to spread the word of the awfulness of this place so no-​one else wastes their money (or potentially gets sick eating what this place calls ‘food’)!

BEST RESTAURANT IV EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO EAT AT !!! SANDWICHES TEN STARS BAGELS 50MILLION BUT PIZZA ALL THE STARS IN THE GALAXY!!! IM GOING BACK AGAIN I HOPE TO ONE DAY BE MRS B!!! SO GOOD! Friendly service , everyone there makes me feel like im their best friend, like iv known them for 10years plus super attentive as well could explain food and ingredients in explicit detail, the manage a charmer, made sure i was a satisfied with my meal before i left «if it doest make you drop to youre knees then youre not eating at mr bs!!!“TRUTH

I placed an order through Foodler. I’ve never had any issues with any orders through Foodler, Ever. Placed order at 9:02am… «Estimated Time of delivery, 10am.» Obviously its an estimate, I get it, it’s cool. 10:30 I call for an ETA. Who ever answered the phone was so incredibly rude I can’t believe they have customers! I asked if they had an update, and he said «Well, It’s not here.» I asked if he had the order… His response, «It’s not here, so it’s on it’s way.» I asked if he knew how much longer… He said «I dont know, it left» and hung up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Food arrived at 10:45.
I understand its Sunday/​Breakfast,… but that’s crazy.
The food was luke warm, and less than stellar. DO not recommend. Will NEVER order from again. I have no idea how they run a business if these are the kind of ethics they operate on. horrible. ZERO customer service. WASTE of time and Money. Couldnt eat most of the food since things like omlettes dont reheat too well. :-(

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered delivery last night, and not only was the delivery fee 10 $, but the food was disgusting. I don’t know how it’s possible to mess up pancakes and breakfast sausage so much that I couldn’t even force myself to eat them. Not only did the food suck, but the delivery man forgot part of my order, which I was pretty sad about because after not being able to eat the mushy (yet chunky) crap they advertised as pancakes, I didn’t even have my frozen yogurt to enjoy.
So disappointed, and a waste of 32 $.

As with every one else this is a one star review wishing it were zero. I agree with the other reviews in that the food is awful, the service is atrocious, the hours are inconsistent. I how ever live close enough to walk by it every day on my walk to work, and I often wonder what actually goes on in that place?
Let me tell you it’s not that inspiring. It’s a run down once was restaurant that is filthy and forgotten about. It’s almost as if they are ashamed of where they serve food, because the few times I have been in there, the guys at the counter tell me it’s pick up only and I have to wait outside. I saw a dude dying his hair once, coming out of the kitchen. Another time I walked in and some one was just straight up sleeping on the bench inside.
I love this neighborhood and I support just about every aspect of it I can. This place is just a mega bummer.

I would be lying if I said this experience with Mr. B’s finally drove me to create a Unilocal account. Apparently I created an account a long time ago. This is, however, my first review, so thanks Mr. B’s for the motivation!
It’s pretty simple. The pizza was awful. There was nothing notably good or bad about the service. The delivery wasn’t late or anything. It was the low quality of the food alone, compared to all other prepared meals I’ve eaten since online reviewing has been a thing, that drew me to finally review a restaurant.
There was barely any sauce on the pizza, the crust was cardboard and splitting into layered sheets even though it was already paper thin (I am usually able to overlook this if there is enough sauce), and the pizza overall was just flavorless. I’m no snob about pizza. I’ve appreciated something about every other pizza I’ve ever eaten and can definitely enjoy a three dollar frozen pizza. It is really hard to screw up pizza by my standards. This one was just bad. Maybe the other food from Mr. B’s is good, but don’t get the pizza.

Absolutely disgusting do not order here. The food actually made me sick, and it is a disgrace that they charge for food.

TERRIBLE food and service. Was delivered wrong order after waiting over 1.5 hours for food to be delivered.
Rang to complain but had closed and when I rang the next day to complain manager hung up on me three times and told me to stop bothering him.
Was extremely rude and arrogant to try and deal with.
Would recommend you stay right away from this dump and it’s horrid food.

I am usually not one to complain but I’ve finally ordered from Mr B’s for the last time. The first time we were disappointed was when our order of French fries came with an assortment if fries and breakfast home fries – as if they ran out of fries AND an eggplant parm sub was covered in a liquid nacho cheese sauce instead of normal mozzarella cheese (again, as if they ran out of normal cheese and just wanted to wing it). This last time, we ordered frozen yogurt for delivery and mine had plastic bag throughout the entire yogurt, no idea how this one could get by them. I called for either a refund or a new frozen yogurt and the man who came to inspect my yogurt was unbelievable rude but did bring a new one. Worst food and worst customer service, I will never order from here again.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee for delivery. It’s been almost 2 hours since I ordered and it still hasn’t arrived. I called the store 20min ago to ask about the status of the delivery and they said «It’s on it’s way» and hung up. I don’t understand how a breakfast sandwich and a coffee can take 2 hours.

There’s a reason that this place has such a low rating — run for your life! What an awful, ridiculous experience.
After a very long day where I had not had a chance to eat ANYTHING, I noticed Mr B’s was open pretty late and ordered a side of sausage and an omelet.
The sausage was cold yet burnt, and I had one bite before deciding it was too gross to continue. The omelet was ice cold, and was coated in what I could only describe as some kind of rancid 7 – 11 nacho cheese. I was starving and could not eat it.
I called GH for a refund and the owner demanded to come pick up the food, and when he arrived, acted like a COMPLETE jerk. He gave me a hard time because I had taken some bites of the food (there was still 75% of the meal left on the plate!). In the end he only refunded $ 6 of the $ 20 I spent on his godforsaken restaurant. I will never, ever, ever eat here again. Disaster. ⁰⁄₁₀.

They arent kidding when they say LARGE calzone! You def get what you pay for in portion size… And then some. The calzone had great flavor but I think they gave us the wrong toppings. We also ordered garlic bread which had actual pieces of garlic clove… Flavor was over the top good. Spinach and Artichoke dip was unique… Solid flavor and some jalapeño peppers to really throw your taste buds for a loop.
Last was the frozen yogurt. We asked for heath bar and reeces and got heath bar and sprinkles. I think there was some miscommunication through the phone but we still really enjoyed it.
Overall we would order from here again in a heartbeat next time we come to Boston. Delivery time of about an hour so order in advance!
I give it a 3 star because even though the flavors were there, the order accuracy wasnt and the delivery time was a little slow.

This place is crap.
Chicken salad sub is chunks of chicken swimming in some salty beige goo. Awful. Ordered Waffle fries, got a gross mix of breakfast potatoes, bitter ends of curly fries. Ordered ginger ale, got a mountain dew.
As a restaurant it makes a very good doorstop.

Worst Deliver /​Restaurant I have ever had in my life! My girlfriend and I ordered about $ 30.00 worth of food for delivery. It came over an hour late!!! The noodles were overcooked and everything taste sour!!! I highly recommend you NEVER order from this place.
Please hope, I do not get food poisoning!
