Lovely Valentine Photography

I cannot say enough great things about Lovely Valentine. Jovan and Emilie have been so easy to work with throughout our wedding planning process. We had our engagement shoot with them several weeks ago and they were so much fun to work with — easy going and flexible but knew what they wanted and what shots to get. The photos are beautiful and we have got so many compliments. We are so excited to have them be a part of our wedding day this fall and plan on using them for any photography needs moving forward!

I was so lucky to come across Jovan and Emillie from Lovely Valentine Photography — to provide a photo booth for my daughter’s wedding on July 12^th. I contacted them last minute as we had had a nightmare with another vendor and ended up cancelling their photo booth.
I took a chance and could not have been happier! Their photo booth is an open air style — which was different and fun! The images they captured were wonderful and they made a beautiful album that captured special moments and the fun that was had by all everyone! On top of this, they were so friendly and accommodating — wanting to make this the best experience for our guests. If you are looking for a Photo Booth — do yourself a favor and look no further than Lovely Valentine! We feel so lucky to have met them and only wish we had another event so we could do this all over again!!! We will be recommending them to everyone we know — and we hear their wedding photography and video services are stellar too!!!

Where to begin???
My (now) husband and I were having a very small, very intimate wedding, immediate family only and it was in our front yard. Our 3 year old daughter was going to be the flower girl and our wiley 18 month old son… well he was going to be held by Grampa, lol. I truly wanted it to be as simple as possible because I wanted it to be more about our love for eachother than about all the showiness of weddings these days and we simply didn’t have thousands of dollars to spend. I wasn’t even going to hire a photorgrapher! I decided I would look into the photographer thing a bit and when I spoke to Jovan, and he was SO enthusiatic about doing the photography, I couldn’t say no. He even offered to help with the invitations!
The day of the wedding, Jovan and Emilie showed up exactly when they said they would, which I really appreciated. I was upstairs (still in the shower!) when they arrived, I am perpetually late! But I had no idea what was going on downstairs and that’s where the photography magic began! Jovan and Emilie captured all the precious moments leading up to the wedding, our kids getting ready, guests arriving (all 8 of them, lol), but these were the things that had I not had a photographer, and a exceptional ones like Jovan and Emilie, I would have mssed out on the magic and excitement going on while I was getting ready.
Now that I was out of the shower and starting to get ready, Emilie came upstairs to start photographing that part. I was DREADING this part. I’m one of those people who loathes having my picture taken, and loathes looking at pictures of myself. But, Emilie and Jovan made me feel so comfortable and promised me that I would love my pictures and so I conceded to having photos taken while I was getting ready. I am SO HAPPY that they convinced me to let them take those photos. Not to toot my own horn, but they are GORGEOUS photos, I look pretty, so pretty! And I know that is 100% thanks to Emilie and Jovan. Every bride wants to remember themselves looking beautiful every step of the way on her wedding day, and Jovan and Emilie gave me that gift. Even better, is getting to show these photos to my daughter one day when she is getting married!
It was time for the wedding to begin, our guests were outside waiting for me to come out, we queued the music and I opened the door to walk out, took one look at my husband… and burst in to tears, sobbing tears. Well, as we all know, no one looks pretty when they’re crying, especially in full sobs. Well somehow, Jovan and Emilie managed to make me look beautiful throughout the the entire ceremony, sobbing tears and all. More importantly they captured every endearing look exchanged between my husband and I. My husband has a way of looking at me, that makes me just melt, and they captured that! I couldn’t believe it when I got the pictures, but there was that look, the look that I thought no one else notices, and that if I could keep it forever I would, and now I can! I have it!
After the ceremony, Jovan suggested we go someplace offsite to do some shots of just my husband and I. I was hesitant, because I didn’t really think that it would matter where the photos were taken. But once again… Jovan was right! We went to a lake near our house that was partally frozen over. In those moments of photography at the lake, Jovan and Emilie managed to capture the intense love between my husband and I, which is something I never would have thought could be captured in a photo, but there it is!
Jovan and Emilie stayed for the entirety of the wedding and reception and I’m so glad they did. When it was time for everyone to go home, we sent wish lanterns up into the nght sky. The photos of the wish lanterns are simply magical.
A few weeks after the wedding Jovan and Emilie put together a wedding book for us, something I always swore was a waste of money, until now! It was the most perfect collection and arrangement of photos from our wedding all in a BEAUTIFUL book which is now on our mantle and I look through it almost every day to relive the most wonderful day of my life.
Jovan and Emilie have a knack for photographing the things that matter: exchanged looks, glances, hands held, the funny moments, the serious ones and they do all this and somehow they still manage to just blend. They they immortalize one of the most precious days of your life and therefore, they become family.
So, WHEN (not if) you hire Lovely Valentine (aka Jovan and Emilie) to photograph your wedding, listen to them, let them guide you, heed their suggestions, and you will be eternally happy that you did.
