These pizzas are soooooooo good. It’s a small little place that kinda looks like the lower level of a house. The pizza tastes like homemade delicious pizza. Try the pesto pizza if you’re looking for something different

The food was good but it’s just really awkward to seat yourself. Not very professional. The service was shit too. Never got bread and she only visited us once or twice to take our order and deliver it. Not coming back, sorry not sorry.

Pretty good old school Italian restaurant. You have no idea of what is going on just by looking at the outside. Food is well prepared staff friendly. If you staying at a nearby hotel and don’t want to hassle with Cambridge street parking eat here

Awesome pizza. They use the best mozzarella money can buy. And you can’t beat their chicken parm.

This is my 12 year old son’s favorite restaurant. We’ve been coming for years, and it’s always a great and cheap meal. Clearly a townie place, it is family run and reminds me of my townie bar/restaurant back home, though the food is much better here! I looooooove both the veal and eggplant parm here. It is always freshly made so you can count on the crisp of the light breading under the delicious melty cheese and sauce. My son sticks to the chicken fingers(says they’re some of the best he’s had). I hear the steak tips and pizza are good but I have a hard time straying when I find a good thing. Plus the food prices are great! Service is always pleasant, though sometimes a bit disorganized(you may find yourself waiting for someone to greet you for 15 minutes or so while all of the wait staff is running around you). But they are all lovely people and very welcoming.

Been going here for 35 years and it is still as good, if not better than it was back in the day. The chicken Parmesan is a solid choice and the pizza is phenomenal. The crust on the pizza is the bomb ! Bottom line, for quality and bang for your buck, this place is a family tradition that I’m passing on to my family.

I was there last night, I haven’t been there in some time(couple years). I love the fact that not much has changed here(décor wise) — the old school feel is the charm of the place. I had a burger. I have to say, the quality of the burger/meat was excellent and cooked perfectly! I’ve had other food here, the pizza is VERY good and could challenge some famous names any time! I love this sort of place(old neighborhood place), they are becoming extinct to the franchise type places that are getting old.

OMG I LOVE this place! I can’t believe it took me so long to actually come here since I used to live about a 20 minute walk from here, and didn’t actually try it until I was just about to move. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are huge, and the food is delicious. I am especially a fan of their pizza. I honestly think this may be my favorite pizza. I keep wanting to go back just to eat another one. Others I went with have ordered the veal parmesan and veal piccata. Both, I was told, were extremely good and cooked perfectly. The one thing I knocked a star off for was service. I’ve found the wait staff to be somewhat ill-mannered and very inattentive. Perhaps they are understaffed. However, I did notice they tended to gravitate more toward the regulars. Which is all well and good, however, how do you know that another customer will not become your next regular? I don’t normally complain about service since I have also worked as a waitress in the past, but the service here was pretty disheartening. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they were understaffed and did not realize how careless they were coming off.

If you want to feel like you’re having dinner with the family, head to La Hacienda. The staff is warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. The décor is old school — lots of wood paneling — and we took that as a good sign. We weren’t disappointed. When my husband asked for olive oil for his bread, our server brought it over and then went into the kitchen and whipped up a gratis saucer of fresh pesto for us to dunk our bread in. We ordered three of the La Hacienda specials for the three of us(two veal and one chicken), and it was way too much food — there were enough leftovers for three more meals! Highly recommended!

One of the best chicken broccoli and ziti dishes I’ve had. Portions are huge. Staff is really friendly. Need to try the pizza next time because it looked delicious!

I have not been to this place in close to 30 years. It is a down to earth whole in the wall that turns out amazing food at amazingly low prices. I ordered The Veal Parm. It came on a bed of Angel Hair Pasta and a great red sauce. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. Next time in I want to go with about four people so we can get a small pizza and order of garlic bread to split as apps then order an entrée. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Parking was easier then I thought it would be.

Great old school neighborhood spot. I always get the shrimp & scallops scampi. They have the Hacienda special chicken & eggplant parm over ravioli which is just delicious, it’s enough to feed a few. The bar stools have the regulars names on them, just saying they don’t make places like this anymore!

Classic family old school Italian restaurant, love it! The food and drink are wonderfully priced as well as exceptional. The staff are delightful, pleasant and attentive. Portions are excellent… everything about this place is charming and inviting. The parking to the rear is very convenient given the location, which is in one of the oldest parts of Somerville.(if your from the city you’ll get the reference) If your looking for a nice place to take a date, a friend, or the whole family, I strongly suggest frequenting this restaurant! The first time I visited them was at lunch time, it was so good I went back for dinner… then for dinner again the next day! Im hooked!

Good, old-fashioned italian restaurant in the ‘ville. Haven’t been here in 30 years. Nothing has changed-and that’s a compliment. Solid food and cozy, neiborhood ambiance. Good stuff!

I’ve heard the«faking hass» as we have learned to call it, is going out of business, and I hope that this is a dirty lie. The food is quite average, but portions are huge. The pizza is pretty spot on. I usually opt for an Italian classic and end up with FARR more food than I could ever want. We also ALWAYS get the garlic bread. Beers are cheap, but you won’t be finding any craft beers here. If you’re coming here and disappointed in the lack of craft beers, you’re probably a douche anyway. If this place is really closing, I may actually shed a tear. It’s truly a Somerville Gem. Gotta try it!

Ok, so it’s not really 5 star fare, but I can’t rate it any lower as it was my favorite place to be(along with the original Pizzeria Regina and Santarpios) while in Boston. I must have gone 100 times yet I ordered only 4 things. Gnocchi with marinara, veal parm, meatball pizza, and watery beer on tap in a frosty mug. No better place to hide out for an hour or two. Oh how I miss you La Hacienda.

Old school Somerville haunt that hasn’t changed in years. Why? It doesn’t have to. Great pizza, famously delish chicken parm and seats with names on them for people who are regulars or infamous. Maybe both. Cool! OG people from both sides of the Bridge/Ville border will all agree that LH still has what it takes. Of course I bump into a few people I know which always makes me feel good and welcomed in the old neighborhood. Steak tips were as tender as baby filet mignons. Almost could cut them with a fork. Went healthy and got broccoli instead of pasta. Gotta watch the girlish figure ya know. When I fall off the wagon I’ll be back for some pizza.

Where the hell did this place come from? Definitely a nook where, upon entering, patrons stare at you just as long as you stare back, unable to believe the other party never knew about what they’re taking in. That’s some meta type ish there. Gigantic pizzas, slathered with orange mix cheese, and a variety of toppings, including our selections: house-made meatballs and chicken, pesto and peppers, aka the Hacienda special. Firm but tender; crisp and chewy, these pies had tooth and the heft to fill all bellies at our foursome. Beers on tap aren’t anything out the ordinary, and at $ 3 – 4 a pint, I’m perfectly fine with that. The tables wobble. A few stools have name plaques on them, and the wait staff probably grew up in these walls. They’ve seen some things, and still smile through their rough-around-the-edges warmth. I want to keep going back. Maybe to try their non-pizza, still-Italian fare, but probably just for another meatball pie. Is that wrong? It’s a red sauce joint called La Hacienda. There’s no such thing as wrong.

This is the kind of place that’s disappearing with every passing day. An italian joint with a latin-sounding name? OK. The waitstaff have been here since the last remodel, which was in approximately 1986. Low-light, lots of dark leather and mahogany. The pizza is amazingly good. The crust is crunchy and thin, the sauce has a bite to it, the toppings are fresh and awesome. It’s really, really worth the trip over to this part of Somerville. The value for the $$ is just out of this world. Pitchers of beer and multiple pizzas and none of us ended up spending more than about 20 bucks. They were super nice to us, and the only regret is that they don’t stay open later, but what can you do. Get yourself some slices of La Hacienda!

I remember eating La Hacienda pizza as a child, so I didn’t realize how confusing the name is to new initiates. La Hacienda, despite its name, is not very Mexican. It is very pizza. This is the type of joint I love. Tucked away, sorta divey, friendly waitstaff who’ve probably worked there for decades, and inexpensive. The pizza is delicious, served with a crispy thin crust. You can get bottles of wine for around $ 20, or pitchers of beer. Perfection. As befits a hidden gem, La Hacienda is a bit tricky to get to, but worth the effort.
