Amazing hot chocolate! Wish we had these by our house. So much better than Starbucks.

I’ve had somewhat of a negative opinion of JPL for awhile now(they’ve done me wrong with freezer-burned froyo too many times!), but the new monthly ice cream flavor Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough may have changed all of that for me. This stuff takes just like chocolate fudge! The peanut butter comes through in the dough, not the ice cream – don’t be confused(as I was) and think it’s chocolate PB ice cream with regular cookie dough inside(which would be even better!). It’s definitely only *very* small pieces of PB cookie dough. They could amp up this flavor by making the pieces bigger – there’s literally barely any in there and it’s almost false advertising. However, I am sold on the possibly unintentionally chocolate fudge tasting ice cream! Hoping this becomes a standard flavor!

LOVE the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie frozen yogurt here. It’s my favorite frozen yogurt flavor ever created by any brand. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there’s NOWHERETOPARK

Peppermint ice cream is so minty! There’s a lot of candy cane in this ice cream which is awesome. Some other places have very few. I will be coming back!

Love J. P licks! Really yummy ice cream and the service is always really good. There is lots of seating both inside and outside. Also, there is usually a long line but it moves fast.

Amazing hot chocolate but was not impressed with the staff. They were not attentive and seem to be irritated when asked questions about the ice cream flavors. It may just have been that shift of people on a Sunday night. But definitely try the hot chocolate with marshmallows or their caramel apple cider it warms you right up on a cold night

Both times I’ve been here the food/drinks are great, but both time the employees seemed unfamiliar with their menu/a bit rude. However, I don’t mind because the ice cream is delicious! Highly recommend the cookies ‘n’ cream batter

Coconut. Almond. Chip. You will be the end of me. So, I don’t really like ice cream all that much. If they let me buy it in spoonful sizes I would. I just can’t eat that much of it. But that coconut almond chip ice cream here in JP Licks makes me man up and get the kiddie size. It really is similar to an almond joy. They once had a lactose free version I think which was really good but I have not seen it again. I have since moved from the Boston area so when I came back to visit, we made it part of our trip to eat here. Come here. Get it. But don’t over do it :)

JP Licks offers delightful flavors and delicious creamy… ice cream. I stopped by after a long Sunday afternoon of shopping, and this was the perfect pick-me-up treat! The line was a little long, but that gave me ample time to scan the extensive menu and narrow it down to just a few flavors to sample. They have seasonal flavors in addition to the regular options, so consider stopping by around the gift-shopping season for those happiness-inducing holiday flavors! :D My sister and I ended up splitting a cup of magically fall flavors — maple butter walnut & apple cider. Both were amazing, but the maple butter really took the cake on this one. Worth.

I am never tired of ice creams and especially on a nice summer afternoon, it was a great treat. This particular location at the Assembly Row outlets, was packed; but the crowd kept moving along. They have a good selection of ice cream flavored, frozen soft/hard yogurt, smoothies, hot/cold beverages and of course sundaes. I ordered for the ginger coconut dairy free yogurt. The flavor was great, but a lil on the sweeter side for me. It was lite and creamy and the fresh taste of ginger came thru very good. My sister ordered to a mango raspberry sundae and that was delicious too. They also have sufficient outdoor seatings too and this is a nice place to relax and enjoy your ice cream.

Excellent ice cream and good variety of flavors. Line can be long but moves fairly well. Highly recommend coffee Oreo!!!

It’s ice cream. Really good ice cream, lots of flavors(even incorporating sriracha now.). But it’s also kind of expensive ice cream. The line is usually super long, but they do move pretty quickly behind the counter. Only one cashier, so my ice cream is usually have gone by the time it’s my turn to pay. Overall, nice treat after shopping the outlets or before going into the movies.

First time trying their ice cream cakes. Couldn’t settle on one flavor so opted for 2 small cakes instead — tiramisu and brownie. Surprisingly, both cake turned out well. The cakes were moist and flavorful. Love the multi layers of cake vs ice cream. Definitely, glad we gave them a shot.

Open late night for your yogurt and coffee needs. On a warm day, grab your yogurt here, and enjoy it on the chairs outside, or on the waterfront nearby. Paleo dieters can still enjoy a coffee here.

Contrary to the reviews below, I like it here. Ice cream is good, staff is friendly, and prices aren’t too bad either. My absolute favorite ice cream is PB cookies and cream. Generic I know, but it ISSO good. Peanut butter and cookies and cream ice cream in a cone or cup, and I’m a happy gal. I know they have dairy free options, but this girl ain’t about to indulge in that when there’s so much more to choose from. Next time, I’ll be adventurous and try something new. :)

The only negative comment I have is their line during peak hours. And the fact they give you a second to order or someone shouts to keep it moving or something similar. But I guess you already had 10 mins to decide from the wait. Ice cream is amazing here! I am used to going to the one at Charles Street in Boston near my job. This is comparable. They always have seasonal flavors which is a must try. They also have frozen yogurt and dairy free products. If you’re thinking of trying their ice cream cake, I highly suggest you do! The cow one is delicious! They also have a rewards program where you can earn cow points to redeem free ice cream/treat as well! Be sure to ask for one!

This is only for the PB&J ice cream which I loved loved loved. LOL. Such good quality ice cream. The jelly just tastes like the syrup but it made a really swell combination. Don’t forget to try samples! For a kiddie sized plain cone, it was about $ 4 which is a little expensive but it’s a good enough sized dessert. My friend ordered a small and even that felt like a lot of ice cream to eat… This place is generally small on the inside. But with this warm weather coming up, it’s perfect to go outside and get some ice cream!!! There’s plenty of seating around Assembly Row; sitting on the benches, chairs, on the concrete sides, or even by the river. The employees here are really friendly too! It seems like they’re always full of energy and lively.

This place has high quality ice cream and creative flavors(and the old standbys). When it opened I thought«finally a place near Medford that does not sell Richardsons ice cream»…not that there is anything wrong with Richardsons, but I grew up in Cambridge, near Toscaninis– so I like creative flavors and a high butterfat content. Jp does it well.

Cute small store with outdoor seating in front and back. although, the seating in the back had open fire which was not so safe on a windy day with toddlers in tow. Ice cream was good, limited seating indoors. I didn’t experience any rudeness as others have reported. The staff was friendly Although it wasn’t that busy, the staff seemed overwhelmed and forgot part of my order. I Plenty of metered parking and lots nearby.

Oh man, I’m in trouble. Since this location just opened a half mile from where I live, I’ve been constantly craving it. I walk there though, so that helps negate some of the damage, right? I’m normally pretty health concious and get their low fat hard frozen yogurt. PB chip is my favorite flavor, but the oatmeal cookie kind is pretty good too. After 2 hours at the gym this past Saturday, I was feeling balls to the walls and sprang for their regular ice cream. I got the cake batter and cookies. There was a good amount of oreos(my fave) but the ice cream did not have much cake batter flavor. I actually prefer their hard fro yo over the real stuff and will save my calories next time! They also have a rewards card. You hand it to the cashier before you pay and you get a point for every dollar you spend. Once you get to 50 points you get $ 5 back. The ice cream isn’t cheap, so it won’t be too difficult of a feat to get to $ 50 over several visits(and I’m definitely up for the challenge!) Cons-it’s right across from Lego land so it’s always packed with screaming kids. The employees are unfriendly and act like you’re ruining their life when you give them your order. Also: hate how the spoons are at the very end of the line when you’re cashing out. It would be nice to be able to eat my ice cream as I’m waiting to pay, instead of watching it melt. Such a tease getting a cup of ice cream and no spoon to eat it!
