Great place for either a quick, fun, pretty purchase or custom work. I’ve bought a couple necklaces from Jade’s store stock on impulse — one for me and one as a gift. Really pretty and unique.
Jade also has done fantastic custom work for me. Jade helped me with several antique items that were either in disrepair or just not my style (but meaningful to me) and turned them into gorgeous pieces I love wearing. Really special, and executed with beautiful craftsmanship. She really heard what I was going for and made suggestions to make them look their best and be on budget.

We had Jade Moran make our wedding rings. While we were attracted to some of her more elaborate work, we decided quickly on a simpler design. It has a little extra gold inside for a comfort fit so it never digs in or feels strange. Jade Moran will make you something that you’d never find at the mall and you’re supporting a true artist.

I had a friend who just got engaged and I realized that I need to write a review for Jade to keep other newly engaged ladies from going anywhere else to get their ring.
Jade made me the ring that I always imagined I would wear– elegant, old-​fashioned and simple but really remarkably beautiful. I have a ring that is strong and flat enough that I don’t have to take it off to swing dance or practice kung fu but is pretty enough that strangers will ask me about it. It’s gorgeous, not garish. Just what I wanted.
Jade sat us down in a quiet shop with a sketchpad and listened to us talk and sketch until we had what was just right for us. It was much less expensive than we expected but is so unique– there’s no comparison because there are no other rings like it. Her work is about quality, not quantity. Jade is the best. She also has an adorable cat.

I visited Jade’s shop to look into having her design a custom wedding band for me. She was very polite and sweet in person, and her jewelry is very lovely. However, she did not respond to my subsequent calls/​emails for almost a month. By then I had moved on to another local jeweler (Emily Scott at E. Scott Originals down the street — she is awesome!) and given up hope r.e. working with Jade. Upon looking her up on Unilocal,I found that her lack of communication is a common problem. She may, indeed, make beautiful jewelry, but her business skills are severely lacking.

Jade is a great person and a great jeweler. The ring she designed for my girlfriend is beautiful and the process of designing a ring with her was very interesting.
But Jade is not very good with deadlines, and when deadlines were not met, she failed to keep us updated. I had to contact her several times to know the status of the work.

I first came across Jade and her beautiful jewelry about 10 or 12 years ago when she would set-​up a booth at one of the holiday craft fairs in Harvard Square. I said to myself then that if I ever got married I couldn’t imagine having anyone but Jade make my ring. I was so excited when she set-​up shop in Somerville a few years later, right around the corner from my house! Once my now-​wife Maura and I decided to get married the easiest part of the wedding planning process was choosing Jade to make our rings!
Jade is an amazing artist who has a knack for listening to you and designing a ring that fits you perfectly. She even took on the role of ring therapist when it was warranted. Maura and I both wanted to wear engagement rings. When I couldn’t decide if I wanted a traditional looking diamond engagement ring, Jade sent me home with a cubic zirconium ring and a three-​part assignment 1) Can Courtney handle wearing a diamond ring? 2) Does Courtney want to handle wearing a diamond ring, and 3) Wear the ring and see if Courtney can handle it. In the end I decided to go with small diamonds inlaid throughout a small band and Maura went with the more traditional diamond ring.
I look down at my wedding and engagement rings all the time so excited to have these beautiful pieces of art representing my commitment to and love for Maura. I would highly recommend Jade and her work!

This little shop is run by a lovely, creative and talented lady. She executed all of our ideas perfectly and professionally. She will let you know if your idea is impractical, or more expensive than what you are hoping to pay. She’s approachable and will discuss what you want or are thinking about.
Thanks for my engagement ring, and both of our wedding bands. We know we will wear these for a long time and are grateful that they are so beautifully done.

2.5 stars. Jade made my engagement ring and its beautiful. I adore it, she does great work, so the problem is not at all with craftsmanship. Sadly, it was the customer service. Granted, there were circumstances on her side and our side that made things more complicated and I understand that life happens. What I ask, though, is for communication. A quick, simple phone call or e-​mail to keep us up-​to-​date on the situation would have made a world of difference. Instead, we, my fiancé in particular, were left frustrated and in the dark. It took months longer than it was supposed to and we had to get in touch with her about the ring instead of the other way around. Another couple we know had similar problems with her awhile ago, which I wish we had known. Five stars and more for the ring itself. Zero stars for customer service.

What a concept.

This is a wonderful shop run by a wonderful lady, creative, and intersting, she makes contemporary and interesting jewelry items for the folks that aren’t into all the standard fare.
Beautiful casting, and custom work (wedding rings! tiaras!) and afforable pieces, that will dazzle, with thier simplicity, and overall beauty.
Her shop is a bit out of the way, but if you are in the market, its well worth a look-​see
