Default place for shwarma takeout /delivery. It’s very good when you are starving yet too lazy to physically go get food. Actual quality is not bad, but the lamb is a little tough.

Came here and got the chicken shawarma plate, it comes with rice, chicken, cucumber salad, and a side of pita bread. They said their pita bread is homemade but it kind of just looked and tasted like the same packaged pita bread that everyone else has. The serving size is very generous. We also ordered a side of grape leaves and hummus, their hummus is more gritty but was good. Overall, the food was fine but I’ve definitely had better in Boston. Some of my chicken was kind of mushy.

I ordered online through Eat24 and I put the pickup time an hour away from when I ordered because I had just got done working out and needed to shower. When i got my food, I could tell it had been sitting there awhile. When I finally opened it to bite into, it was definitely not hot at all. After I warmed it up, it tasted fine, but next time I’ll order at the same time I’m ready to pick it up.

Love this place. My favorite is the chicken shawarma plate, and the portions are huge. The food is excellent, and the staff is so nice. They have no issues with my husband’s weird orders and substitutions. It’s also fast, whether for takeout or eat-in. So glad to have this place in Winter Hill!

Meh. The lamb was too lightly spiced and gristly. The falafel was ok, also underspiced and a bit boring.

Owner messaged me apologizing very poliate. Offered to reenburse me. Great gesture. I have ordered tonight. Giving them another chance seeing he was polite and very accomidating seeing i didnt want the refund for my drinks because I paid in cash. Hopfully I have a better experiance with this order. Appriciate the fact that the owner reached out and cared. Shows alot about the company. Wonderful food but was really disappointed the last order. Hopefully this time it will be better.

Delicious delivery & pickup. Idk why people complain of parking– it’s Somerville, hello! We got the falafel, chicken kabob wrap, schwarma mix. It came with a ton of pita and delicious hot sauce. The salads were incredibly fresh. The falafel isn’t my favorite but not due to lack of effort, just the style! We order all the time and have lived in the area for 6 years! Definitely one of the best Winter Hill gems

The staff is courteous and respectful but they have a hard time following simple directions. I asked for a falafel with a little hummus and a little tahini sauce. Now don’t get me wrong, a little to me might be alot to you and vice versa however their comes a point where thats obviously not a «little». They squash the falafel which is a technique I found in Jordan however they mashed the falafel so much I thought I was just eating chickpeas. The parking here is absolutely terrible, tonight I received a 50 dollar parking ticket and they could give two flying fucks. I won’t be going here again to be really honest I enjoyed the falafel but to be fair I make better in my own kitchen. P. S. they were cheap with the pickles…

Decent food. I live around the corner so I come here often. A few gripes, multiple times the rice has not been cooked all the way. They have forgotten my sauce on a few occasions as well. All in all they are pretty good though, portion is decent, and their Shwarma plates are pretty well balanced with good salad and pita. I recommend if you are a local, but would not drive out of your way for these guys.

The other day, my roommate and I decided to try out this little restaurant for the first time. We ordered the falafel plate and the falafel wrap. To say these meals were delicious would be an absolute understatement. Fantastic food for an amazing price. This place is a no-brainer for anyone looking for completely satisfying Middle-Eastern cuisine.

I was excited this place opened because I live in walking distance, and Winter Hill/East Somerville has too few Mediterranean/Middle Eastern options. I’ve been there maybe 10 times since they opened and have now had my last meal. The people are nice, but the food I’ve had is nearly always disappointing. Tried the lamb shawarma – way too grisly and chewy. Tried the chicken shawarma several times, on its own and on a Greek salad, as a rollup or with rice, but it’s way too dried out and lacking in flavor. The Greek salad is unlike any other I’ve had: it’s about 80% or 90% green peppers and cucumbers, then you get a little lettuce, about 6 olives, a ghost appearance of feta cheese, no onions, and about 5 micro slices of tomato. So, it’s basically peppers & cucumbers. I’ve tried it several times, and it’s always fresh, but just not a real Greek salad. The hummus is good – I’ll give them that. So is the pita bread. But overall, most meals here have been disappointing, I’m sorry to say.

It was okay. The schwarma was disappointing. It was dry and lacked seasoning. The spicy hummus was pretty good.

Fast, delicious, copious amounts of meat/rice/salad in one nice little container. I like this place for lunch. It’s really clean and the service is pretty fast. I always feel good and healthy after eating this, it’s a great boost when I’m getting too tired at lunch time. My favorite is the lamb/chicken shawarma mix plate.

What happened to you guys!!! This used to be my favorite place for middle eastern food. Last night, I ordered plates and sandwiches. It was horrible. Here is why: 1– The rice tasted like ash 2– The chicken was very dry and tough to eat 3– Tahini was horribly 4– Salad was old and tomato was on the verge of expiring It seems that nobody cares about this place anymore or the staff just simply don’t care anymore. Warning !!! Do not order from this place anymore. Very very bad food. I’m afraid next time I could end up in the hospital for food poising.

Yessss I live so close to here, it’s such a shame that I’m trying to cut and can’t eat this for lunch and dinner all the time. Stopped by for an early dinner so it wasn’t too busy yet. Got the lamb and beef shawarma plate and it was MASSIVE. Larger portions than Noor and The Shawarma Place by far. Great deal for the $$!! And it was delicious. The plate comes with rice pilaf and shephard’s salad and is fully topped with tender and flavorful lamb and beef. So good! Also comes with a big round of pita, tahini, and this ridiculously good spicy sauce. Small downside is that everything is super greasy. But that’s when it’s the tastiest, right? I eat a lot in a single sitting so this was plenty for 2 meals. If I was being conservative with food then it’d be enough for 3 meals probably. I haven’t tried the wraps yet so I’ll have to be back for that. The place is small and not really ventilated/air conditioned so it’s hot to eat in and you end up smelling like food. Get it to go if you can.

So much shawarma, so little time! We discovered Falafel Place through Unilocal and we’re seriously hooked. We stopped by a week ago and the customer service was superb. The staff were super helpful with recommendations. I had the Lamb Roll Up that was loaded with meat and tahini in a warm, soft pita and my friend enjoyed hers with Grape Leaves too. They were both very flavorful. Also I tried the Falafel Roll Up tonight and it wasn’t anything less than spectacular. I actually prefer it to the Lamb and Chicken because it left me room for a piece of baklava. It wasn’t the best baklava in the world but I liked that it wasn’t drowning in sugar and was crispy. Where it fell short was the filling. It was missing the nuttiness that baklava is remembered for. Overall, we’re very pleased with Falafel Place and will feed our shawarma cravings here when they arise again.

This place is pretty solid, especially for being so new. I’ve had a lot of shawarma/falafel in Boston and have a couple of favorite places. First off, they were just nice guys. Nothing over the top — just cool, straight forward, friendly. What they do right: –FALAFEL. Best I’ve had in a while. Really, really good. Great flavor, warm, lightly fried, perfectly sized. –Baba ghanoush. I am kinda picky about this one and I really liked theirs bc it was more on the chunky side. Some places purée it to death or add too much oil. Not here. –Tahini sauce. Simple and delicious. The chicken & lamb shawarma was pretty good, but I did get a lot of burnt/crusty pieces. Wasn’t as tender as I’ve had. Their cucumber salad was just okay – not much flavor there. Hummus was pretty standard, spicy sauce is HOT(and I can handle heat), and the fattoush was so so. Oh and they are a bit cheaper than some other nearby places, especially for their huge portions. Win!

This is the perfect addition to our little neighborhood of Winter Hill. I’ve been twice in three days! I stopped by Friday when I was on my way home from work, pleasently surprised by the crowd that was in there. I ordered the falafel plate and added hummus. It was absolutely delicious! When I went yesterday, I opted for the veggie plate which is more of a sampler. It came with baba ganoush, hummus, falafel, and a cucumber/tomato salad. The hot sauce that they give on the side is so delicious, next time I’ll have to ask for extra! The prices are quite cheap, everything seems to be under $ 8 give or take. The only bad thing about Falafel Place is how close it is to my apartment, I don’t think I’ll be strong enough not to order from here every week!

Falafel Place is off to a strong start and I’m thrilled. I’ve been 3 times now and everything has been top notch. The spicy hummus is a must try if you are a spicy food fan. The falafel is deeply flavorful and studded with sesame seeds, the salads are fresh and perfectly dressed, and the pita is pillowy and warm. The chicken shwarma roll up my might be my favorite item on the menu though — full of grilled chicken and charred vegetables, hummus, pickles, and lettuce — super, super tasty! The portions are huge, the service is friendly, and the prices are dirt cheap. Thrilled to have Falafel Place in Winter Hill!!!

This is Falafel Place’s second day. And based on the meat pie, falafel and spicy hummus, I imagine there will be many, many more. I’ve been hoping a great takeout spot would take the place of the unmemorable pizza shop that closed. Mercifully, Falafel Place checks off all the boxes. The food is delicious(that spicy hummus will be in my mind for days), the prices are perfect($ 3 for 12 ounces of the hummus, $ 2.50 for an incredible meat pie, and under $ 8 for the falafel plate) and the staff is friendly. I want the secret to get out. If you live near Winter Hill or commute through it, stop by and enjoy.
