UPDATE: Howard called me 3−5x a day almost everyday during the holidays. His priority is getting me to delete my Unilocal review. It isn’t making things right for us. Howard bribed us.
Said he would give us Fire Alarms for free if we deleted our review.
Pioneer’s response below saying «they had a new employee and hopefully they resolved our issues» is false.
I just want my original system to work properly. I don’t want these huge sensors on my Windows. I will say they finally came over to install the panel onto the wall so that’s nice I guess. They still haven’t fixed the faulty sensor though.
I think it’s important for people on Unilocal to know what kind of business this is, especially if they’re deciding what to do about their home security. Yes, Pioneer DID call my husband after finding my review on Unilocal.I thought, wow these guys are on top of it. They are genuinely concerned about our experience… NOPE! They just want me to delete my review. Not cool, Howard.
Howard — How about you refund me all of our installation costs and cancel my service? Then I’ll think about deleting my review.

Total rip off. They «compete» with ADT? Hah!
They will tell you how much they’re like ADT but they have better service. Their hardware and system setup is nothing close to being competitive.
They do the bare minimum then act like they’re doing you a favor when they come back to fix it. Except they aren’t fixing anything. You’re upgrading and they make you feel like they’re throwing it in for free. The «upgrades» are the standard items from ADT.
1.) The window sensors are HUGE compared to ADT. See picture.
2.) The control panel sits next to our front door. See picture. What do we do with this thing?
Everything is an upgrade. If you want the «competitive» system aka ADT then you have to «upgrade» everything.

This company has done the alarm systems for me, my neighbors, and friends in Orange County. This is not a huge corporation and the owner is involved. Therefore I feel you get that intimate, personalized service the larger companies can not deliver.
Install went great and they are very detail oriented. You will probably deal with the same installer during your time here as their employees have been there for a long time.
They are familiar with the current, cutting edge products and are able to do alarms that are highly sophisticated like mine or more basic systems.
After the install, you need to worry about monitoring. Our monitoring has been very good and they call back even on small things such as when a sensor has an isue and is reporting and error.
My previous company outsourced the monitoring and many companies do that. I like the personal involvement and followup from Pioneer’s monitoring staff.
