Mina Digerness

Mina rocks! I would recommend her to anyone regardless of crazy you think you or your hair may be lol Her passion for what she does in just incredible and it clearly shows through her work. So many people boast about what all Mina is capable of in the beauty world and I am just another one of those people coming on here to express my opinions. But being the business owner of a very reputable magazine here in SD «Motovded» I can guarantee you that I ONLY write reviews for people that have moved me in my life in positive ways. COME SEE MINA! As a man I never though I could have hair longer than a crew cut. I was trying to grow out my hair and looked like a messy hamster. I had no long term goals for my hair and look confused. Now I must say, that from the looks of the strangers and compliments from my friends, Mina has done a great job w/​my crazy hair. Very reasonably priced for an A+ cut and style. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MINA to all family and friends.

Mina is a multi-​talented person. Not only is she a hair color specialist and stylist, she can give the coolest advice on makeup and clothes! She gets stopped on the street, asking her for interviews or to do modeling… believe it.
I have been going to her for years and am consistently happy — wouldn’t change hairdressers for the world; have also referred my friends and they are very pleased.

Mina is a creative genius! She has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost 5 years. A miracle, as you know, to stick with a stylist that long. I get so many compliments on my hair color. Even my mother, who is a stickler about my appearance, told me she gave me the best hair cut of my life! On top of her amazing skills, she is just a fantastic person and is a joy to sit and go through the process with. She makes me laugh and I look forward to my appointments! You totally cannot go wrong with her folks. She is amazing!

Mina has been my hair care specialist for about two years. I love Mina and so does my hair. I have very thick and long hair. I come in about every 3 mos looking like a hot mess. Mina thins it out w/​out taking too much length off and does her magic to take the frizz away. I leave looking like one hot Mama;)

Mina has been cutting and coloring my hair for over nine years. I am a loyal customer because Mina is an expert stylist and a super cool girl. In the 9+ years I’ve been going to her, I have never left Mina’s chair unhappy. She has cut my hair in numerous styles and I love every one. Each time I have taken Mina a picture of a cut or color I want her to recreate on me, she nails it! I highly recommend Mina! She is the best!!!

Mina is AMAZING!!! She is super talented and a truly incredible person to know. She treats her clients with love, respect and kindness… Way above and beyond what I was used to!!! I have been going to her for over a year now with ZERO complaints!
Her studio is always clean and friendly and is located on beautiful Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach in the center of the design district! GO!!!

Mina has been cutting my hair for over a year now, and, let me tell you, I have received more compliments on it during that time than I have in my entire life. I have long hair, so, prior to Mina, many stylists thought cutting it was a no brainer, and put very little effort into it. As a result, I’ve ended up with choppy/​shelf-​like layers, layers that are too short for my very curly hair (resulting in frizziness when I blow-​dry it straight), one side that is longer than the other, etc. I have also, embarrassingly, made some ill-​advised choices in hairstyles (given my hair type), and prior stylists have just cut it however I asked them to without warning me that it would not look good or like I hoped it would (even though I asked them for their opinions before they cut it).
Mina, on the other hand, has always cut my hair (layers and length) perfectly so that I can wear it straight or curly. And, when I come in with an idea for a new style, she is always honest with me, telling me what aspects of the style will work for me and what won’t, and then modifying whatever style I requested to fit my hair type. I also tend to give very poor descriptions of what I don’t like in a hair cut (e.g. «I don’t want to look like a mushroom», «please make sure my layers don’t look like I have two different haircuts», «I would like to go short, but not frizzy short»…:), and Mina seems to understand my lingo and gets it right every time. So far Mina has given me «more layers», «thick, sassy bangs», «short, but not too short», and «long, easy, with a center part», and manages to make it look awesome every time! She is also super sweet, funny, and makes easy conversation… an hour flies by when you’re in her chair. I recommend her to everyone who is looking for a stylist or compliments my hair!
