Love this place, Betty is great! Always welcomed with a smile, Andrea and Carol are always there to add a giggle to the conversation and it is just so much fun to get my hair done. They are professional and know just what to do to make you feel beautiful, alive and refreshed again. Please find them on Groupon and give them a try — you will not be disappointed!

Lovely salon and stylists. Really thought I found the place as my go to hair salon.. I never write reviews but had to comment on my cut. I asked for a pixie and got a chopped, chopped short hideous cut. I can’t do anything with it but wear a hat. I am sick about it because I am leaving for a vacation tomorrow which I would cancel if I could. I am embarrassed to go out in public. It will take at least three months for my hair to look normal. Sorry to do this but couldn’t let I go.

A friend referred me to Charmaine a couple of years ago. I have a lot of hair, which some intimidates some stylists. Charmaine embraced it! When I went to Charmaine, I wanted to go from a medium style to a short style. Charmaine gave me the best cut ever!!! I always get compliments on it. I wish I would have found Charmaine years ago. The salon has a wonderful atmosphere as well. The stylists are all so nice and friendly. It is a great environment to be in.

Charmaine has done a great job with my hair! My gray hair is very stubborn and she has figured out the perfect formula to cover my gray and give me beautiful color! I’ve been going to her over a year. I get compliments on my hair often.

I have been having my hair cut/​colored at Charmed on Cedros for 14 years and I always love what Charmaine creates for me! She is an artist and it is fun to watch her make her visions come to life while she does my hair. All of the stylists at Charmed are fun to visit and experts at what they do. I always look forward to getting my hair done and visiting at Charmed on Cedros!

The best salon around!
My husband came in here about 5 years ago and that’s how we met Andrea. She has been doing his hair ever since, and she has been doing mine for about 3 years. We love her and consider her a friend now, which is huge when your looking for a hair dresser. She did my hair for our wedding and when I recently saw an amazing color on Pinterest she did a phenomenal job. The atmosphere in the salon is perfect every time, everyone is talking and i am so glad that my husband found this gem! We will be going here for many years to come.

What a warm and welcoming salon in the Cedros area. I’ve been getting my hair done there for 5 years, and have always enjoyed the friendly, open environment, a cup of tea and a homemade organic treat, and of course a great haircut and advice on how to change a look. Charmaine and her team have created a wonderful atmosphere and provide excellent service.

Love this salon and Betty! This was my first time at the salon and it was a fantastic experience. What made it so good? First, there is ample parking the their lot so you don’t have to park on the street. Fortunately, Solana Beach has 3 hour street parking so even if the lot is full, parking shouldn’t be an issue. Next, the salon is very cute, quaint and clean. There are 4 stylists who were all friendly. Lastly, Betty was terrific. I opted for balayage and a haircut and couldn’t be more pleased. And, at the end of the appointment, no one tried to sell me products! Try this salon; you will love it.

What a sweet place, small but… very welcoming and relaxing! Betty did a fabulous job with my root touch up and hair cut. Most importantly she was fast! Awesome job Betty!

I recently booked a hair appointment with Betty for highlights and a trim. I chose a light blonde color not really knowing how it would turn out but I knew I wanted something different. Once the highlights were in I became a bit terrified because the blonde didn’t look good with my complexion and was a little too bright for me. Betty was very quick to offer a toner which took an additional amount of her time. She was very kind, understanding, and such a pleasure to speak to while getting my hair done. I will be using her as my hairdresser from here on out!

This is SUCH a «charming» little salon. I love the vibe, the décor, and the service!
Betty is an artist — with only a couple of colorings she’s been able to transform my hair color to something that looks gorgeously natural instead of the orange-​y brassy tones I first came to her with, after a botched experiment coloring my hair at home. She’s also helped restore beautiful bounce to my hair with just the right shape, length, and layers.
She’s also a delight to talk with, and it seems there’s always really pleasant conversation going on in this little salon. I leave feeling uplifted internally as well as looking better from the neck up. :)

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Charmed. On a whim I purchased a living social voucher for a cut and color. I was able to get an appointment the following day. The salon is very cute, clean and beautifully decorated. Andrea gave me the best cut/​color that exceeded my expectations. Needless to say I will be back.

Charmaine delighted both my daughter and I on our first visit… treatments, highlights and cuts just as we wanted! So happy!

Charmed on Cedros is a special place. Charmaine has been my stylist for more than 15 years. She is not only talented, creative, artistic and sincerely dedicated to excellence, but has surrounded herself with incredibly talented and professional stylists. They are experts in color and cuts.
The salon is so comfortable and welcoming and it is all due to attention to detail. You are welcomed with tea or coffee and maybe a nibble of something sweet and made to feel very comfortable and like you are the single most important person in the room. The location is both convenient (off-​street parking available right in front) and exclusive (S. Cedros Ave) with plenty of great shops and cafes to walk to before or after you are gorgeously coiffed. But do not fear the price tag, because I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the value you receive.
Do yourself a favor and book an appointment. You will be thrilled with the results. I have never left there without receiving compliments on my hair that day. Truth!

What a lovely salon with top notch treatment for the clients. When I go there it is my therapy! It is an upscale but not intimidating or lavish setting. The owner, Charmaine, is the best ! She never never never pushes products on clients – something other salons do. Charmaine has made such a difference in my hair. It is naturally curly and thin and she has nurtured it along with a recommendation for a shampoo (bought it on QVC) and expert cuts. The salon never fails to impress!

Betty has done my hair two times now… and both times I received many complements from friends and strangers.
The biggest compliment is from me! Many of my friends go to Betty as well… everyone loves her and her talent!
The studio is on Cedros… yet Betty’s pricing is very affordable. But the most enjoyable and appreciated piece of my whole experience is Betty’s kindness and the comfortable, compassionate experience of being in Betty’s chair. She is a real and authentic and a true gem. I highly recommend her.
