Great mix of dive bar eclectic character/fun and quality food and drink. Always seems to be something happening; live music, karaōke, shuffle board. I’ve been several times and I’m finding myself drawn there by cravings for their hamburger(best in the area) and shoestring fries. They have nightly food specials that include tasty bargain steak dinners. Nice selection of craft beers on tap. Also, the owner/bartender is suuuuper friendly and always on point. I’m going with friends tonight to celebrate my last day at my current job. Burger and cold beer dreaming all day…

After being treated rudely by The Oxford, we walked to Stewarts. This is a neighborhood type bar, and you can feel the history. We were warmly greeted, good service and some very fine food. This was a Friday Night, and there was also live music and a couple pool tables. We will definitely go back and soon too.

I’ve lived in Snohomish for almost 20 years. Stewart’s has changed. They always hire great staff but it is fact, they don’t stay long. Most of the time the«people, the krowd» either gets in a fight or leaves with their tail between the legs. I have been around the worst, if that’s what you are looking for Stewart’s is the place. If you don’t feel like being challeged, move on.

This place just isn’t the same. It’s a bummer because I used to love coming here but since the new owner and manager, it’s gone downhill. Big time. Rude staff, egotistical doormen, impatient bartenders. Crap drinks too. The Oxford has a LOT better music, WAY better food(their burgers are to die for), and the bartenders are friendly. Avoid this hole.

If I could give zero stars I would! I went to Washington to visit a friend, went to Stewart’s to have a great night. But we had to wait for a friend that was a ways away and was meeting us. So we sat in the car(HEAVENFORBID!!) and waited for her and talked for 45 min til she got there. Once she got there we went to the door and they refused to let us in the door and serve us because we sat in the car too long! Even though they could tell we hadn’t been drinking, it was suspicious to be sitting in the car for that long!!! REALLY!!! WE’REWOMEN, WETALK!!! The bartender never even came out and talked to us, she just refused to serve us! We will NEVER go back! Find another place to have to have an Epic night!!!

I feel most comfortable here of the bars in Snohomish. Been there about 8 times this year. Took a friend last week who said the burger he was eating was the second best he ever had. I got the same burger immediately and it hit the bullseye. If you have to ask what burger it is you shouldn’t go to this bar, just order the damned burger.

Great daily food specials, live music and cheap drinks! What is not to love! The fish and chips as well as the Caesar Wrap are pretty good!

Stewart’s is a fun place to be! You can hear live music all weekend. There is open mic on Wed. And Sun. Nights. The people are friendly. Nice, old town feel with original wood floors. They have dinner specials every night. Prime rib on Sunday. The beer is cold and the drinks are good. The prices are not over inflated-always a plus!

This is a great dive bar. We go here specifically because of the shuffle board, and rotate between shuffle board and pool. The place is pretty big for a dive bar. We can’t comment on the food, but good beer and stiff drinks. The one negative is it gets pretty hot and stuffy in here during the summer.

After walking our dogs my husband and I would go downtown Snohomish for lunch. We first stopped at Stewarts Place because we had this game we played; first parking spot available is where we would stop and eat. Snohomish is always busy! When we drove as far as Stewarts one day my husband looked at me and I rolled my eyes… really? Well, let me say, it became our go to place; food was surprisingly good, service friendly and efficient, and, although not real pretty, very clean! Recently it changed owners and now the food is even better. The specials are always«special» not left overs, the prices are exceptionally reasonable while portions are generous. Three of our favorites; Friday fish and chips, Tuesday(I think) 2 Tacos for $ 2 bucks and they are loaded, and now… Saturday; any burger for $ 6.50. GREAT burgers… hand pressed patties, lean smoky bacon, fresh crisp veggies served on the side and the most delightful skinny, crispy fries. Oh Oh Oh and the bloody Mary’s, best anywhere. Flavorful mix that doesn’t give you heartburn, excellent garnish, a meal in itself. Sooooo really, you must try it!

Well, all good things must come to and end, or at least be downgraded. New owners took over recently, and within a week had cut portions and raised prices on the daily specials, which had admittedly been STUPID cheap, and obvious«loss leaders» designed to get you in there buying drinks. OK fine… raise prices… but DON’T fix what ain’t broken, which is the plate of food your inherited customers have been coming in for years to enjoy. This is exactly what Stewart’s new owners have done, at least with the specials. The nice big hunk of prime rib that used to be served in the Sunday special has morphed overnight into a dinky, ½″ thin slice … serious portion cut here. Oh, and the price went up. Double disappointment !! I don’t pretend to be a restaurateur, but I will float the suggestion that if the typical American enjoys a particular meal… let’s say the Sunday prime rib special at Stewart’s Place, for instance… they might be willing to pay a couple bucks more for it, if necessary. Hell, maybe five bucks more, if it came down to it. We want what we like, dammit !! But if you CHANGE the meal, by cutting the portion down, they will likely be very disappointed, even if the price stays the same or even goes down a bit. To reiterate, if you cut portions AND raise the price, it’s over, baby. Now, I have a sneaking suspicion that the real profit generator in a bar like Stewart’s is the ALCOHOL, so squeezing the«dime» that is food profits, by cutting portions and raising prices, could risk the«dollar» that is all the alcohol that people buy when they come in for a stupid deal on a big slab of prime rib, right ? Maybe the bar’s P&L statement is shaping up great now, and the place was hemorrhaging money before, what do I know? All I know for sure is that my twice-weekly visits to Stewart’s for a meal and beers have completely stopped. It used to be worth the 10 minute drive, and now it isn’t …(insert sniffling, puppy-like sounds)

If you like bartenders that spend more time reading their books or texting on their phones than getting you a drink then this is the place for you. Bad, bad, bad service!

To give this anything more then three stars would be too much. I have been to this dive bar a few times. When I want to feel tough I will visit this establishment. You are not going to find anything that is nice here nor will you get the best service. But take it for what it is a «biker bar». They are the only place in the county that I know of that has a shuffle board, a huge plus for me. As long as you can handle the dudes next to you(usually intoxicated) playing pool. Not a bad place if you are looking for something a little on the rough side.

Someone’s always got something to gripe about, and one persons experience may not be your own. I have been here for many shows and have always found it to be a good time. Say what you want about the bartenders but I have never had an issue with them, and to defend Kerianne from someone elses post, maybe ya caught her on a bad day… we all have them; or maybe you were just a douche. If ya don’t like the biker scene then come on a Fri or Sat night were live music seems to drive them away… it’s like kryptonite! The food is awesome… best burgers in Snohomish, great ceasars, and sandwhiches, fries… ummmm onion rings. Super sized portions! Snobs need not apply… sure there is a place for ya somewhere else.

A group of us came here seeking drinks and some grub after we got turned away from the Oxford Saloon.(Apparently they don’t accept vertical IDs as proof of age anymore, so one of our party was unable to drink — we decided to relocate, and the super-helpful server suggested Stewarts.) I was so surprised that anyone would recommend this place. Granted, it was the middle of the day(well, 4pm) and an odd time to be after a beer, but the place was full of bikers and other older gentlemen of an unsavory disposition. Now, I’ve been to a fair share of dive bars and I certainly enjoy them from time to time, but I have never felt so unwelcome in a drinking establishment! We got simultaneously hit on and insulted within two minutes of stepping foot into the bar and, after grabbing our menus and a table and waiting for ten minutes, received no service and left. We really felt like we were being frozen out. Too bad, really, since we went down the street to the Repp and spent $ 80+ on snacks and beer. Sucks for you, Stewarts Place.

Here’s a couple of things you didn’t know about Snohomish, WA: It was originally named Cadyville, which tickles us since Cady is the name of our dog and we are easily amused. The only Washingtonian in the Baseball Hall of Fame was from Snohomish. Parts of «Bustin’ Loose» with Richard Pryor were filmed in Snohomish. And, finally, my co-worker’s dad’s band, The Evin Rudes, plays Stewart’s Place often(when it’s not booked by The Vomitting Whores, who are also scheduled to play this month. Nice name.). And that’s what brought us down the über-charming historical main street of Snohomish on a rainy fall evening. Totally expecting a super sketchy dive bar(I left my good jewelry at home), we were shocked and elated to find a fun, quirky, kitschy bar with friendly folks to spend the evening with. Not to mention the fine music. The historic building has high ceilings and lots of fun artifacts to keep you smiling through a couple of drinks. It’s definitely worth the drive. As Chris said, «No wonder 1st Street is trapped in time. Look what it takes to get here!» But we can’t wait to go back for brunch and some antique shopping or a slice of pie during the holidays! We might even drop in to shoot some pool at Stewart’s Place.
