Brittany & Stacy are the best! And I am not only saying that because they are two of my very good friends, but because they do amazing work. The salon is decorated so cute! Maryiln Monroe is plastered all over the walls & its a very old hollywood feel. Definitely worth the drive out to Maltby, and how convenient that the Maltby Café is right next door! I recommend these girls to anyone that needs an amazing cut, or color.

I cannot give this place enough stars! After years (a decade maybe) of searching for someone who could cut my thin, fine hair the way I wanted to, I found them! Stacy gave me the rock-​star, and it is Joan Jet meets Victoria’s Secret, just what I was looking for! I have never been happier with my hair!!!
Not only are the skills worth woo-​hooing, these ladies are the most amazing kind hearted nice people. Visiting them from Ballard is more than worth the drive, and the time there is a treat in and of itself!

Don’t let the little building fool you, these ladies pack a big punch when it comes to hair. I went to Stacy to fix my hair color, it was brassy and just not cute. She did an awesome job and really listened to what I wanted. Their prices are so reasonable, definitely give them a try!

I love this salon! I drive out here to go to Stacy, and she does a phenomenal job and everything is very reasonably priced. I use to go to the more expensive salons in Bellevue and Seattle, but by far this one is the best. It’s cute inside and nice to support a small business with great service. I’ve always left here pleased with my hair, this place is worth the drive.

Stacy is great. With little input from me… she hit it out of the park. I have had more compliments on my hair in the first week of having the cut & color than the last year or two combined.
Easy going atmosphere with attention to your comfort. Suggest you make a day of it… See Stacy for some hair improvements… hit the Maltby Café for some food and swing by Flower World for some home beautification.

I drove way out here to BFE to visit my former stylist, Stacy. Since she left her previous salon & opened up her very own place, I’d been hopping around to different stylists in the Kirkland area… and was never satisfied with anyone I met. So, I was about to start my salon hunt (via Unilocal) into Seattle, when I thought, «Well, if I’m going to drive into the city, why don’t I just drive up to see Stacy?!»
It just took 15 – 20 minutes from Kirkland to get to Maltby Hair Design, a funky little salon, decorated with red & black. It certainly stands out among the antique store & Maltby Café. There are only 2 stations in this place, which was a nice change. We were able to chat, rather than scream over 10+ blowdryers!
Anyway, I needed some major hair care & Stacy knew just what to do. She repaired my color, popped in a few lowlights & cleaned up my haircut. Hooray!
It was so good to see Stacy & I’m happy she has her own salon. She’ll definitely keep me as a client!
