My fiancé and I eat here all the time actually, probably close to 4 times a month, 95% of the time the food is delicious and the service is good, even the other 5% of the time it’s decent. My main reason for giving 4 stars, I wish they would clean up the place a little. I understand it’s a bar so being«dark &dingy as the other reviews said doesn’t bother me… what bothers me is that the beer taps look disgusting on the wall, the outside seating area is never clean… you look up and see cobwebs, spiderwebs, nests etc…, there ad been the same shit stain inside the toilet for months in the women’s restroom. We will always love summits however I just think they could improve on their business if they took a few days to deep clean the inside and outside!

Love this little hole in the wall place !!! I became familiar with it over the summer. Trivia nights are fun. Kevin is superb! They have crab legs on Wednesday– not the freshest or the largest– but everything else is A-OK!

I was in Atlanta on business and wanted all you can eat crab legs. I found this place and after researching reviews decided to give it a shot. The price on the food is decent. I ordered all you can eat crab legs. I got there at 9:30pm so I missed the cut off for the all you can eat at 10:00pm. I ordered and ordered. The legs were fresh and big. Very good food. The fires were amazing and had a great spice on them. Seriously some of the best fries ever. It is partly my fault for showing up late but still my only gripe was the lack of crab legs at the end of the night. They would only bring me small portions of 4 to 8 legs. I kept taking them out about every 5 minutes. The waiter was quick to respond with another order, but at about 11pm he came to tell me there were no more. I was definitely not finished. Anyways. Overall great place!

I have eaten here at least once per month at the restaurant as well as carry out for the past 5 years and I have no complaints or disappointments. Ordered a few of the salads(especially love the Ahi tuna salad!!), most of the burgers and sandwhiches between myself and my family and all of it was totally delicious, cooked hot and to perfection. BEERFROMAROUNDTHEWORLD… ANENDLESSLIST… on tap is very, very good! Their garlic/garlic cheese fries are soooo yummy you won’t want to stop eating them! Their fried fish sandwhich is one of my favorites… HUGE piece, moist, crunchy and not greasy. So is their corned beef… soooo thickly filled w/succulent thin sliced, piled high meat. As for the many burgers, no favorites… love them all, always served as I ask them to be prepared. I haven’t had many of the appetizers or desserts, but what I did have were excellent and nicely sized portions. I HIGHLY recommend Summits!

Wednesday Sept 9 first visit to Wayside. My wife wanted the all you could eat crabs.(insert joke here) it’s $ 25.99 for that special. The place looks a bit older and could use some renovations but appeared to be pretty clean. Lots of bar activity. Plenty of self serve seating. A server came to see us almost right away. Tea was good and I also ordered a bar drink which was made perfectly. Plenty of alcohol. My wife enjoyed the crab legs I had chicken fingers which were above average. Sides of broccoli and onion rings were spot on ! Very reasonable pricing and good service !

The food here is so good and not what you think you’d get at a place like this. Burgers are huge! Wings are the best around.

OH we have been slipping on this restaurant. It’s sitting right in our back yard and we had NO idea how good the food was at this restaurant. We had the blue cheese chips and wings and they actually had GOOD imported beer. My hubby is a «beer-snob» and even he found something on their beer menu. You NEED to check them out… We WILLBEBACK!

Awesome burgers! Awesome beer! So many selections of beer. Our server asked what I liked and suggested something new and I loved it! Best sweet potato fries ever! A lot of selections on the menu for food. Seafood and vegetarian options! Great service. Patio for outside dining Parking a little limited but more parking in rear. Definitely will return. Extremely local no fancy shmancy shenanigans. Rock and roll music and TVs everywhere.

Beers on beers on beers. Best local hangout spot in Snellville. It used to be a taco Mac back in the day, and somehow when the name changed the wing sauce stayed the same. That said– good wings, great nachos, solid burger. I also really like the Grouper sandwich if I’m feeling«healthy.» This place has a good pub atmosphere with plenty of tvs, seats at the bar and fairly dark lighting. Not the place to take a date but if you wanna go with friends to hang out, eat solid food, drink different kinds of beer and watch sports, you’re going to have a great night. Their trivia night is always really fun as well. Cheers!

Surprisingly good food from a surprisingly large menu. Very much a casual sports bar décor. The burger menu is extensive and creative. Personal favorite is the Pittsburgh Garbage Salad. Noisy!

Summits Wayside Tavern is located off 78HWY in a very small plaza with a nail shop and auto pawn. Hard to miss. The sign, SUMMITS, is huge. This restaurant serves up many items such as salads, wings, burgers, tacos, etc. Dined here for dinner one evening. PARKING: Very limited parking infront of the plaza so once you pull in, head down a slope/ramp to the back for more parking. INTERIOR: Like any sports bar, but a little unorganized. It reminded me of a «horder,» because there are so many beer signs and random stuff all around the restaurant. As you enter, there are a few arcade games left and right. Flat screen TVs to watch sports all around the dining area. SERVICE: It was meh. Seat yourself although it’s busy and you may possibly not be brought a menu for another 15 minutes or so. That’s exactly what happened, but I was waiting for a few friends and they eventually showed up and we chatted for a bit and lost track of time. A waiter eventually brought menus over, but it took awhile to order. Everything just seemed so unorganized. Our waiter was very cool though. FOOD: –10 piece wings + order of fries for $ 11.65(not shabby) I got half Mild and half Lemon Pepper. They were okay. Wasn’t as crispy as I wanted them to be. Fries were good though. Not bad at all. DRINKS: I didn’t order any, but friends did. They have a WIDE selection of beer/drafts/drinks in general. The bar is huge. It was pretty busy too so I’m sure many come for that reason; to drink and have finger food such as their burgers, chicken, tenders, etc. Overall, it was okay. I’ll probably return, but only if I’m in the area. It seems to be the bar to go to for folks living out in Snellville. 3 solid stars.

Don’t judge this book by its cover. Yeah…it’s a bar, but it’s a family friendly place. I’ve only been here at dinner time. It may get a little crazy late night. I dunno. But you always see lots of locals and their kids for dinner. Lots of TV’s for sporting events. The real draw for me is the food!!! I call it upscale bar food. My favorite burger for sure. Along with your normal bar burgers, Summits offers gourmet burgers with Kobe beef or short rib. Not easy to drop 15 bucks on a burger but I do here without hesitation. Great wings too, All the food is surprisingly good. Wide variety of specialty beers to wash it all down. Nice place!

I want to like this place. I really do. The beer flows freely and the food is pretty tasty. But I was just underwhelmed by the service. I practically had to beg to get any food, a second beer, and my check while sitting at the bar. It gets another shot. But the service needs to improve greatly for my rating to move up.

This place reminds me of a cheaper version of a Taco Mac. From the outside I wasn’t even sure I wanted to go in. Definitely not appealing or interesting in any way. On the inside is a mish mash of random beer signs and poster thrown together haphazardly. I get it’s a sports bar, but they could put some effort into the place. Fantastic beer list of course, but they don’t have any prices on the list. I’m sure there is some high and mighty reason for doing this. Maybe so patrons aren’t price conscious but get the beer they want. Either way it’s kind of annoying. I’m sure some people order some pricey beers and get ticked when the bill comes. The chili shrimp I got were nicely cooked, and didn’t appear frozen, but were covered in thai chili sauce that was way too sweet. The fries were delicious as were the chicken tenders. I would probably come back for the chicken tenders alone, but the odd inside, not having beer prices, and the far distance from where I live will keep me away. You’ll find me at Taco Mac when I want a better experience to go with a huge beer list.
