Service is very slow even when less than a quarter of tables were seated. Took 35 to 40 mins to get food after ordered. Tables that were seated after us had received food and were almost finished by the time our food arrived. Food can be hit or miss. Lobster ravioli was extremely salty. The potatoes were completely unseasoned. The kids ravioli and Mac N Cheese were OK per kids. Manager, Meghan has an «I don’t care» attitude. This was our last visit at this location.

My son and I sat to eat on a Tuesday between 8pm and 9pm. The place had very few patrons. They were half empty. The food and the waitress were both ok. Not great. Just ok. The gelato was really good and the place was clean. With a few other restaurants so close, I don’t think this would be our first choice in the future unless its for the gelato.

This establishment is a far cry from the location in Alpharetta. I’ve always felt the restaurants in Lawrenceville and Snellville are literally the«blue light special» version of their Atlanta and Lawrenceville locations. This meal was an awful 80 $ experience. The server was not nice, neither rude, but he definitely added to the negative experience. My hubby ordered the chicken on the brick, which was a gourmet fantasy at the Alpharetta location. Here it was a public school lunch. I had the lobster ravioli, which tasted as if the lobsters came from Sea Worlds hospice ward, not to mention it only came with 6 ravioli’s, but considering how weird the lobster tatted, I just wouldn’t want to stomach any more. My daughters had the mac-n-cheese, and the Spaghetti with meat sauce, which was more cheese –less-n-mac, and aldi’s canned spaghetti(just add a little water). In summary, the service was bad, the food quality was an oxymoron, and the experience distastefully unforgettable. The only recommendation I would have is for the state to inspect this place, I have a hunch they may find something..

So it been a hour and we still haven’t eaten dinner. Our salads came out before our appitizers. Once they did come the calamari was over cooked & the cheese sticks came out cold. We spoke to the manager & she stated they only had one cook & they are slammed. Mind you is only 22 people in the whole restaurant. WEAREWALKINGOUTASWESPEAK! We will NEVER be back. NEVER!

I just ate here with my family. The service was mediocre at best. The blackened chicken was dry and crunchy. Almost not worth the fact that my parents paid for everything!

1 star for cleanliness and delicious iced tea. Went in for dinner at 545pm on a Tuesday night. The place was nearly empty. Of course they had to seat all 5 tables within 2 feet of each other. Not sure why they couldn’t spread out the customers a little bit. Our waitress… will ALWAYS be a waitress until which time she goes to work at McDonald’s. She was soooo slow. She came back to our table twice because she could not remember our order. WRITEITTHEFUCKDOWN. When she finally showed up at our table with our salads she dropped one(her wrist went limp and the salad slipped off the plate) she was so shocked about what just happened that she actually dropped the second plate. By the time our salads were made a second time our entrees were being delivered. Oh yeah. This is also when our bread finally showed up. At least it was hot and fresh. I ordered meat lasagna with a meatball on the side. I was told the meatball would be $ 1. I’m ok with that. Lasagna showed up cool to the touch. No sauce and no meatball. I asked about the meatball and was told that meatballs only come in an order of two for $ 1 and she didn’t think I wanted two. Huh ??? My wife’s order was correct and she said it tastes bland. I only took a few bites because cold food is not appetizing to me. When the waitress came back to the table she asked how everything was. I replied«my food is cold» and she said«I’m sorry, next time you come in ask for me and I will make sure your food comes out hot» and walks away. I’m freaking crazy mad at this point. I tried to flag down a manager with no luck. I asked the hostess to please find a manager. No one showed up. At this point I dropped $ 15 cash on the table, wrote a note on the napkin and walked out. Will NEVER go back.

Bluhg.. greasy… expensive. …how does this chain hang on. Food VERY mediocre and selection on menu is strangely uniform in flavor profiles and muddlement.

Sadly I guess I cant blame service, food or anything cause we never got service or food. A party of 4 entered at 903 pm last night, after waiting 7 minutes in a place that was empty while the entire staff was more worried about closing as opposed to the table that entered. So someone Jabel shows up with our drinks and we order food, again its 3 total tables, after 40 minutes we see the cook motion to a women who comes over and they have a conversation pointing to us. The women Tina walks over and says I noticed you guys didnt have food and I checked you dont have food cause your order was never put in. It was this point that I said I have to go, she asked what we ordered cause she would get it to go for us, sadly I didnt care anymore and left she informed my party to come back and tell who ever was there what halpened and the meal was on the house. Long story short service did not exist, food never was cooked and manager was helpless. So if u need a place to catch up with friends, maybe a meeting this is your place, you wont be botheres by waiters, wont have food cluttering up your table and then u can get it ro go. All in all one of. the worst experience ever.

How does this place keep its doors open?! Our first red flag was how empty the restaurant was upon entering at the peak dinner hour on the weekend. All the other restaurants in the plaza were bustling with business as evidenced by their full parking lots. Not so with Macaroni Grill. Our waitress, while nice, was completely uneducated about the menu. I asked her to describe the Peppadew Peppers appetizer and her response was, «Um, I think it’s peppers stuffed with some cheese.» I had gathered that much on my own, but I was hoping for a little more detail, so I probed further, «Are they red, yellow, or green peppers? Are they only stuffed with cheese or is the cheese mixed with red sauce, breadcrumbs, or meat?». She was stumped! I asked her if she could find out from the cooks in the kitchen. She returned with, «They’re green peppers and they’re stuffed with cheese and flavorings.» Flavorings? Really?! No thanks! Without an accurate description of an item, how do you expect anyone to order it?! We placed our dinner order. For $ 16.99, I ordered the«Chicken Under a Brick» selection. The menu described it as sage roasted chicken with seasonal veggies, and rosemary oven roasted potatoes. Sounds good, right? Not even close! It should have been described as «chicken that’s hard as a brick»! Seriously! It was so charred and DRY that I had trouble cutting it with my knife! I managed ONE bite and literally had to chase it with water to get it down! To describe it like leather is an understatement! The oven roasted potatoes were stale & rubbery and were clearly reheated by microwave. The broccoli, instead of being fresh & tender, was hard & cold. The waitress came by to check on us and I told her about the chicken being dry. As if she had rehearsed the line before, she responded, «Would you like me to bring you some lemon butter sauce to soften it up?» Not wanting to be rude I accepted the lemon butter, but to no avail. I just couldn’t get past the leathery texture of the chicken so I sent the entire entrée back to the kitchen! The kids, who each ordered a kid size cheese pizza, barely touched them due to complaints of the sauce tasting bad. How do you mess up pizza to the point where 4 and 6 year olds won’t eat it?! The waitress apologized and offered to take my chicken off the bill. «Um, yeah, because I didn’t eat it!» Smh! To top it off, a manager NEVER came to the table to apologize, to offer to re-cook my entrée, or to offer me another selection off the menu. I left that evening disappointed, hungry, & overall amazed at how this establishment has remained opened. The reviews here on Unilocal speak for themselves. Macaroni Grill’s corporate office might benefit from reading them…

Poor service and food was very dry. The waitress used the cheese grater thing and grated cheese into my husbands wine. She looked at him and said oops and giggled and thought it was somehow cute and walked away. Never offered a new glass. Food came out wrong and all at different times. We were done eating by the time our friends dinner came out because they made it wrong from their own menu. Waitresses act like they aren’t to be bothered with. We were wondering why there was no wait time compared to the other restaurants in the same shopping center with 1 hour wait time. I’d never come here again.

The service was slow and food over-cooked. I wish I read the reviews before eating here. Go somewhere else.

We were seated promptly because the restaurant was empty. The hostess couldn’t answer a question concerning a special that was posted on the board next to her station. Our server, Emma, was curt. She almost spilled my entrée in my lap, yet no apology, not even the look of apology… Then when we got the bill she had us wait several minutes to even acknowledge us. I asked one of the managers to take the bill, she responded that she would get our server who still didn’t return fire several minutes. Dismal experience!

Every time we come here, the server is new. They are very nice and helpful however, we did feel a little rushed. They also don’t have much knowledge of the food and drinks. Our server went to the bar a couple of times to ask about the different drinks options but we appreciated her taking the time to do that. We love the fact that you can write on the table with crayons still. Free bread is always a plus. We usually come here just for the drinks. We can order a bottle of wine and if we don’t finish, they will repack it for you to take back home. They used to do half of wine on certain days which they don’t do anymore. We have tried almost every appetizer on the menu and didn’t really like anything. The food quality has really decreased here over the years. We also don’t like the many of the entrees. The only entrée I would order again is the chicken Marsala. This place is also good for kids. If the food quality and knowledge of the staff was better, this place could be so great.

Kasidi was our server. We got there 45 minutes before closing and we’re greeted with a smile. Perfect service! The salads were evenly tossed, the entrees were amazing! Kudos tone chefs as well. I had the classic Italian bake and she the create your own. I’ve been there a few times and I’ll always come back!

Ask for the Josh. I’m sure it won’t be that crowded. He was friendly and personable. I will just say this. Do not order the Lobster Ravs. Count of 5. For $ 18.00. Shore as heck didn’t get a ¼ lb of lobster.

Eh… It was ok. Nothing to brag about. Took my daughter to lunch and it was pretty empty inside. Service was good but being that it was only us inside I’m puzzled as to why it took our food so long to get to our table. Not too fond of going back unless I’m invited, not because of the service but because the food isn’t all what’s it’s cracked up to be.

Chicken Marsala and Calabrese steak were ordered. Came out warm and ready to eat, didn’t have to wait excessively. The chicken pieces of the chicken Marsala were underwhelming. They were a little over cooked and the noodles were certainly over-cooked almost mushy when you eat them. The sauce was lacking in distinguishable flavor as it was consumed by grease flavor. The mushrooms also had no flavor. The steak was not cooked well and tough to eat. The potatoes were under cooked. Completely underwhelmed by the food and will not return. The service was par for the establishment.

This is an update to a previous rating done about two months ago. I have been at this restaurant three additional times since the first time, and my how things have changed.(3 stars then) My wife and I have left this place very happy all three times. I have eaten all three tasting menu entrees and all are fantastic– pork chops, chicken Marsala, and scallopini(spelling?). My wife absolutely loves Mama’s Trio and I agree. Yummy! The bread is to kill for too. If you want to save a few dollars, buy from the tasting menu, but remember, you only have three choices. Hopefully this will expand to at least five. Service is outstanding, especially the young lady who looks like Kate Blanchett.

The worst Macaroni Grill I’ve been to. I hoped my awful first visit was just an off night, but a recent lunch will be my last visit. Corporate needs to visit and teach the cooks how to make the entrees. Parmesan-crusted sole was swimming in oil and awful. Shrimp Portofino didn’t resemble the same dish at other locations. Snooty bartender was absent from the bar, texting, while my lunch got cold as I sat there with a freshly unwrapped dirty food-encrusted fork, and again later while my wine glass was long empty. Check out my posted picture. I ate in the middle of a bunch of un-bussed tables and places at the bar, with the restaurant empty after the lunch rush. Waitress sitting at end table is texting. No excuse.

I’ve unfortunately been to a few Macaroni Grills in my day, and I’d say that this one is at the lower end of the scale. My partner and I were meeting some family friends and they’re the ones who selected this place(certainly not our choice). Everyone was seated when we arrived for dinner, but the place wasn’t busy. The server didn’t come around for a good five or 10 minutes, but when he did, we were in the middle of a deep conversation, so he left and apparently used that as a reason to not come back for another 10 minutes. He took our drink orders, but not our food orders. We literally had to ask a different server to go call him take our orders. If the restaurant were packed, maybe I would understand, but there was literally no one anywhere around us. Suffice to say, service was poor throughout. They served the 6 other people in my group entrees, and then made me wait 5 minutes for mine. How awkward is that? And when they brought my dish out, they said they needed time to poach the egg. Um… that’s what food prep and planning is all about. You know what to expect when you go to a Macaroni Grill, so the food is the same as any other place. The prices are reasonable, as they are at any Macaroni Grill. This establishment is not recommended, though. At all.
