I ride non powered bikes too and found the options at DEV a great option for all types of riders. They have a great selection, lots of price options and a very knowledgable staff to help you find what suits you best. It cuts your commute time, saves you money not using your car and the E bikes are a blast to ride. I have a Strider and love it for alternative ride to my surly, plus they fit in a bike locker! Stop by and check it out I highly recommend and thank Michelle and the shop owner Philip!

Special trip to San Luis Obispo for husband’s new electric bike — loved Vince and his bike shop. Excellent experience and highly recommended! Since we’ve returned home, my husband has been on his bike nonstop. Here, there, everywhere. It’s quite amazing really that one can easily cruise — up ginormous hills or whatever… no problem. It is truly an innovative break through I think. Allowing one to go places they’ve never gone before, covering territory far and wide. Vince shared a funny story about how many hard core«bike enthusiasts» look down on electric bikes with great disdain and disapproval. Like a bike that can do the work for you infuriates them. Vince said one day he was riding by a convoy(you know what i’m talking about, red/yellow/blue spandex and matching everything) in his Birkenstocks and tie die and then at once he accelerated and left them in the dust in complete shock(and disbelief) as he smiled and waved. It was clear that he got a good kick out if it. Too funny!

In my search for an electric bicycle, I found this shop and Vince, one of the owner’s, was extremely helpful. He did a great job in educating me about electric bicycles and asked good questions about what I was looking to get out of having an electric bicycle. He showed me a few different models, explained their differences and shared his knowledge about those differences and what they would mean to me. I just picked up the bike last week and Vince went over the details very thoroughly with me. I absolutely LOVE my bike! Even without the motor, it is easy and fun to ride, but man, when I get to a hill or want to zip through an intersection — the motor is so much fun to have. The bike has some peppy power to it. The Prodeco I got will go for up to 20 miles on the lithium battery — perfect for running errands in SLO.
