‘Good’ Chinese buffets are kind of an oxymoron. However, this place does a really nice job. The place is very busy which means the food turns over quickly and is fresh. Heavy on seafood. Large variety of different dishes including sushi made fresh, or to order. Salad bar with homemade salads. Wait staff is good at keeping your beverage glass filled and used plates cleaned away from the table. Nice variety of deserts including self-serve hard ice creams.

Just had lunch here and the sushi was surprisingly good! Just like the old saying goes«never judge a book by its cover». The building is nothing fancy looking but the sushi is(limited but) good! I didn’t try anything else because of my diet at the moment, but it did smell really good.

If you’re looking for a real good Buffet at any day or hour, The Dragon is the place to get your full. Plus, you can’t beat the price. I eat there at least 2 to 3 times a week. There service is top of the line and very polite !!!

I frequent this establishment at least once a month. The staff is always kind and efficient. The food is good and I have never seen a pan empty(they do a wonderful job of keeping everything full). My wife is a sushi fan and they make her favorite(California) very well. The price is reasonable, the place is clean and the staff is courteous. It is a buffet and, occasionally, things aren’t perfect but this is the best buffet in town, by far.

Decent enough Asian buffet. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They keep the food full. Everything is pretty good. But I must say, my stomach wasn’t so thrilled about an hour after. But that may be more a result of the quantity than the quality. Still, I’ll go here once a year.

I don’t understand why the good reviews about this buffet… This place is disgusting. From the food to the smell of dog pee lingering over the entire room, this is probably the worst buffet I’ve been to.

Just had dinner here a few minutes ago. The food was flavorful but some dishes were just a tad bit too salty for my taste. The buffet was big and food stayed steaming hot at all times. The veggies were crispy and not overcooked. Their egg custard cake was a bit different from the others that I’ve tasted from other Chinese buffet/dim sum places I’ve been to. It is wrapped with crispy phyllo(filo) wrap, not too sweet, warm, soft, and so fun to eat! See photo posted here. The place was clean and can hold quite a lot of people. The service was good and the price was affordable. They served a variety of food including sushi and seafood. For a variety of good, flavorful, and tasty Chinese buffet in Slidell, LA… the Golden Dragon Buffet II is a good place to go.

Originally from southern MS, I know buffets! Also, I have tried copious buffets throughout life. While having sworn them out of my nutritional conquest, thisa buffet is very different. The sushi is fresh AND varied. They don’t simply provide the California and other blah rolls you see elsewhere. I have never eaten sushi on a confident basis EVER from a buffet, in fact. The savory food is fresh, crisp, and tasty. They make egg custard tarts in a phyllo cup. Add some praline ice cream atop, and you have a great dessert. DONOT weigh yourself the day after. It’s not your fault you wanted to binge. We are ALL guilty!

Maaan this place is amazing!!! Unlimited meats and sides during happy hour? Such a solid deal. The kimchi, beansprouts, and salad are fresh. Just thinking about the Kimchi fried, rice makes my mouth water. I recommend anyone with a big appetite to eat here.

This is your typical«all you can eat» establishment. They have a great variety of many dishes to include sea food. I’m not a sea food eater but my husband and grandson love it. This is a great place to stop if you are driving along interstate 10 and would like a good meal. I would not recommend imperial chop sticks for this at all.

Generally speaking, I’m NORMALLY not a fan of buffets, but I am a fan of this one. Much better selection than the other buffet(not sure the name, but off old Spanish) in town. I like that they have options and it is not ALL heavily breaded over sauced, squishy chicken. The(I believe it’s Thai chicken, it looks like chicken strips is grilled and very good. The coconut shrimp is very tasty, very sweet, basically like a dessert but it’s a guilty pleasure. My fiancé loves the fried salty shrimp, a little too salty for my diet but good. I definitely recommend this buffet, we have been probably 5 times now and everything is always fresh, full trays and very good quality. Worth the $ 11 or so per person.

I went to this place for take-out around 7pm. They charge $ 4.99 per pound on the dinner plate. Mine totaled $ 10 plus tax. I believe the lunch take-out plate is $ 1 cheaper. The fried rice was yellow which was new for me and I’ve had my fare share of Chinese food. The rice was hard as if it had been sitting too long or under cooked. The chow mein seemed to be fresh and tasted okay. I have a variety of meats and was not impressed with any of it. However, I did get this tempura fried zucchini that was wonderful. I would only go back to get these. I wouldn’t go back here to eat otherwise.

Yuk! They only a had couple of pieces of sushi on the sushi bar while the sushi chef(worker) just stood there trying to look busy. What few pieces of sushi that were there, tasted old and the rice was hard. I will never go back!

Really good, fresh food! The best boiled crawfish, and shrimp! Nicely spiced not over or under spiced, but they go quick as soon as they are put out. They also have a sushi bar, salad bar, and dessert bar. This is the BEST Chinese food I have ever tasted! My favorite! Management, and wait staff are very friendly, and keep your table clean and drinks filled.

Prior to the opening of Miyagi’s, my family would come here several times a year. They always have the buffet tables full with fresh food. The price per person is reasonable, too. The wait staff is always friendly and check on you multiple times to see if you need refills, the hallmark of a good place to eat. One of the major draws to this place is crab legs, so be warned when you see large amount of people there eating nothing but that. It’s irritating, really, because crab legs are expensive. The downside? Well, Miyagi’s is closer to our house and has the same, if not more variety of food. I highly recommend it if you want good Chinese food, buffet style.
