We went here last night and had some significantly bad service. The place was almost empty but waited for almost 10 minutes at the hostess stand to be seated. Once seated, we waited almost 15 minutes with no server. At one point a manager walked past, asked if we’d been helped, we said no, and he just left. I eventually had to get up and get a server. Our server was nice, but clearly very nervous and new. We put our entire order in at once, but drinks took forever and the food came out at about the same time. The food was just standard, nothing fantastic. I thought maybe they’d offer free drinks or a discount for being ignored for so long, but we didn’t even get an apology. I’m sorry, but it shouldn’t take 1.5 hours for a burger and wings. The place clearly needs new management and retraining of staff.

Let me firstly say that the food is pretty good. I’ve had a few meals here: burgers, Mac and cheese, and fries. They have all be very tasty. The service, however, is terrible. More people would come here if the servers offered more than just something to look at… My coworkers and I used to come to this place after work to unwind, pig out and have some shots and drinks. Every time we experienced a multitude of issues. There was always one«missing» meal for least one out of our party of eight that wasn’t served until everyone was half-done eating. When we ordered shots it would always take a while, or there’d be some confusion or mix-up. After the first round of drinks were finished we always had to hunt down the waitress or suffer through the extensive wait to get more. If the alcohol was flowing more properly, I’m sure the tips would be as well. Disappointed every time. I would love to go to this place more often. But I don’t think I can handle the poor service.

I’m going to try & ignore the fact that half naked chicks work here and comment on the food only. Ordered wings, fries, and mozzarella sticks. Wings came out first, then fries, then forever later the mozzarella sticks. I’m not sure what took so long with the mozzarella sticks considering they’re clearly of the frozen variety. Wing sauce was okay but the wings themselves weren’t hot and may have been an old order especially considering they came before the appetizer which we ordered way before. I’m also not a fan of colossal size wings as I think they’re less flavorful. I’d say if you like this kind of place, Hooters is better.

Not the first time I’ve had a bad experience here. Tonight is Tuesday night and the waitress took 15 minutes to greet us and take our drink order, we got our drinks… can’t mess that up. If that wait wasn’t long enough we waited another 15 minutes to place a order for wings… in total by the time I go my food I’ve been sitting here for almost an hour now. Overall, food is as expected I’m just completely pissed about the horible service. These bartenders can’t handle a Tuesday night…

Printed on their beer list $ 5.40 for Founders All Day IPA bill printed/charged $ 7. Got an excuse from the manager that the sheet I was given was not the Beer list, was a description list and only suggested pricing… I was given a menu with one set of pricing and being charged another. Thought the follow-up was poorly handled, trying to «blame the bartender» and then make it seem like I’m being done a favor, in being charged the printed price on company printed literature. The food is a bit Meh. Ordered their drunken clams, first set was SALTBOMB and was quickly replaced. Second was better, but the dish is really unfocused. Guinness clams, I’m into the idea, but it just wasn’t working. Too many chilis, overpowering rawish garlic, broth not cooked down enough. French Onion Soup was dishwater bland and just a mountain of cheese melted into slightly salty and not very distinctive broth. Onion soup IS an ONIONSOUP. The cheese should be heavily caramelized and with thick, distinctive slices of bread. And the music?!? Backstreet Boys? Gangham Style/Psy? Later, they played some G&R, but most of the music was exactly what I wouldn’t play in a place like this. J-Lo/Jenny From The Block? Jackson 5? Thought this was a Sports Bar… Bartender, Chrissy is great and very nice. Not her fault that the company isn’t all that. Won’t be back.

Crappy seating policy. Told there weren’t tables 30+ minute wait… but they sat others after we went to the bar WTF. A group came in after us walked around looking for bar seats and the manager saw them and sat them at a newly opened table after we asked for one? Dumb waitress. Got Everything wrong. Brought a wrong beer, twice. Screwed up orders all around us. 30 minutes wait for wings, wrong sauce. Brownie desert was weak, dry hard forgettable brownies a smallish scoop of ice cream I hate when there is not enough ice cream. Buffalo Wild Wings here we come

First time trying out tilted kilt. Very cool place. Lively environment and a very friendly staff. We started with the grilled chicken quesedillas they were very good. For my entrée I got the chicken Ceasar salad which I did not like it at all. It was the sour Ceasar dressing as opposed to the creamy Ceasar. I hate when that happens but I didn’t bother to ask. My friends tried the burger with the egg in it. I had a bite and it was delicious. I recommend getting the sweet potatoe fries as well. My waitress Joy was very friendly and on point. Overall a good experience a I do plan on coming back!

Came back tonight woth a group of friends and had a great time. Service was great and the food was too! I don’t understand why so many people are hating on this place… I think it has to be jealously!!! Well done tilted Kilt Skokie… Can’t wait till my next trip in to see you!

Been to this tilted kilt twice now and both times it’s terrible. Both times the service was beyond poor. The second time the forgot my food then offered it on the house, upon actual delivery of the food it wasn’t even cooked. They should shut down this place retrain employees and try again. I wish I could give no stars so disappointed as I love there pub pasta!

I took my best friend here today for her birthday. The server Steph was very nice and she kept checking in to make sure we didn’t need anything else. They also got her a chocolate cake and ice cream on the house and everyone came out to wish her happy bday. The restaurant has a nice design and we got a chance to talk to the owner Jerry, and they will be playing music videos here soon too. So not just sports. Pretty exciting. I would bring my friends here for sure. Not too family friendly because of the dress code they have for the workers but fun for the 20s and up crowd. Thanks Jerry for opening this location.

Was able to be seated promptly on a tuesday afternoon… It was crazy busy so I felt wait time for food was abit long… most of what we ordered was delicious-Bbq bacon cheeseburger medium well made it a dublin(2nd patty with cheese) and Boneless chicken wings: Garlic permesan, medium-tastes spicer than kilt burner sauce and Tk signature sauce! Overall enjoyed food just not too much for service!

Food wasn’t bad but service was terrible tonight and it was a slow night. Forgetting items from our meals. Drinks took longer than it should have. Only thing that can semi swiftly was the check. For a 2nd experience it was poor, may be the last. If they are understaffed. I think the manager should have stepped in instead of having drink at the front door with his buddies.

What a truly disappointing experience my friend M. and I had here this afternoon. No need to waste any of our time with details, so here’s an over all view. They were out of more than one basic beer. Frying oil was old and overused. Fries were inedible. Management did not care. They did not have available for preparation a standard menu item. Cheeseburger was over cooked. Bartender and hostesses had bad attitudes, were clearly bored and none too pleasant or in any way efficient. Everyone we dealt with seemed incapable of doing their job to any minimally acceptable standard, including the cooks and manager. At your own risk, my friends. You have been warned by many honest reviewers. ~Peter O.

We got there on a Friday at 6pm. No wait for a table. Asked about beers — We don’t have a beer list and are out of Lagunitas. We’ll have two Sierra Nevadas on tap. She brings bottles. Then we notice about 30 taps! We ask again — what do you have. «We don’t have a menu» That wasn’t the question. Two doors down at another«Sports bar» chain, they can at least list a few off verbally in each area — craft, import, etc. After we walk over to the bar and ask the bartender about what’s on tap(They have Lagunitas on tap, so what information the waitress did give was just wrong), we go back to the table and order a Revolution on tap. (Listen, I could not care less about the whole«breastaurant thing. I get these ladies are not hired for being Rhodes scholars. But not giving them tools to do their job, like a printed list with groupings of beer types is a management issue. The manager did come around and ask how things were. We did not complain. And that is on us, but frankly he was terrifying. He seemed like a less balanced Joe Piscopo.) On to the food. The irish nachos are inedible. The ground beef on them(weird, but that’s not the issue) is cull quality meat. Seriously, it tastes like dog food. The«beer cheese sauce» must be the separated grease from the top of the sauce pot. These were truly disgusting. The grilled wings are actually very good. The buffalo grilled wings are better than the chain that specializes in them next door. However, until the service pulls itself together and the rest of the menu improves, we’ll take our money to the flying cow 2 doors down. They have a kids menu, but it’s not printed.

So excited to see this place open up! So disappointed with the service. I understand that this place opened up a few months ago so I can pretty much overlook anything but not the service. I’ve been here twice, each time I’ve sat at the bar, each time the bartender says hello and then disappears. The first time I came the bartender took our drink and food orders. She brought me my first beer and I never saw her again until the food came and then I never saw her again until I needed the bill. I like to drink a lot so for me to leave there with just drinking one beer is a miracle. The second time I went there pretty much exactly the same thing happened. Each time I’ve gone I brought one or two people with me, each time everyone I bring says the exact same thing… the service sucks! The kicker to this is both times that I’ve gone its been dead, so there’s no reason for this. I’m going to give it one more shot but this time I’ll sit at a table instead of the bar and see if the service is different. Three strikes and you’re out TK! I’ll just start going back next door to Buffalo Wild Wings where my experience has always been great.

My friend forced me to meet her there, it was ridiculous. Short skirts and cleavage selling horrible food with terrible service. If it wasn’t so loud and if they carried a decent wine, I might have stayed longer than 10 minutes. They will likely survive just as a watering hole which seems to be their goal. The people who patronize such places are not my type of crowd and I would never even consider ordering the food to go because it’s awful. Even the cops were lurking in the parking lot with their sites set on the drunken traffic walking out.

The staff is nice and friendly. The girls are lovely but I think they need to have more product knowledge review to know what they’re serving. The signature food Gaelic chicken does not have Taste. Nothing so different with their beef stew — needs more flavor. Place is really good but not equal to the food served.

I just want to start off by saying that I am a female and if you are offended by the uniforms or think they are inappropriate and what not, then don’t come here! I personally like the uniforms and I thought all the girls looked great. With that being said, the boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try since neither of us had ever been to any other location. We were politely greeted by the hostess and opted to sit at the bar. It took five minutes before any of the bartenders noticed us but not a huge deal. We asked for food menus and were only given one. It was pretty annoying sharing one menu i gotta say. The menu consists of your standard bar food;Pizza, wings, burgers, some pasta dishes and a few salads. Nothing really amazing stood out. As we waited for our food we decided to get some drinks. My boyfriend had a beer and I decided to try the Irish Margarita. Wayyyyy to sweet!!! Definitely should have went with beer. We received our food but unfortunately no silverware, napkins, condiments, extra plates, etc. until about 5 minutes after receiving the food. BUT wow was the food tasty! I ordered the buffalo chicken flat bread pizza and the bf got the pulled pork sandwich. Both tasted fresh and delicious.
Upon leaving I used the girls restroom where I was disturbed by loud poundings on the door from a man shouting«anybody in here» Uhhhhh yea buddy thanks. I know it’s a new place, but some kinks have to be worked out. Overall, I might stop by again.

I have grown up in the area and had to check out the new addition to the neighborhood. I have never written a negative review, but I must honestly say, I am very disappointed. This is a family friendly neighborhood and complex. Despite the fact that there is BWW next door that serves alcohol, this establishment I feel is very inappropriate for the area. I feel as though the way the waitresses are dressed is demeaning and highly inappropriate for this village. Not to mention, for the number of girls prancing around the service was extremely slow and poor. Keep the pub atmosphere if you have to, but something needs to be done about the dress code and promptness of the waitresses. Make it more family friendly appropriate.

Worthy for sports. Elsewhere… Slight difference to my first visit. Watched Game 2 of Stanley Cup. Three Tilted Kilt Ladies in skirts hovering close and looking at something. Flat affect faces. My family was less than two feet away waiting to be acknowledged. Other female workers working the floor would stop by podium entry to make small chat to ladies but ignored us. No instant hello or welcome. After a wave of my hand, I read lips«How many?» Could not hear voice either room is loud or did not speak up effectively. That’s it? So no proper greeting. Upon entering around 8pm, we entered into a brightly lit dining area. One four top available. House was packed. Parking of course, was plenty. Restaurant or «mall» owner should put stop sign and safe cross path from Tilted Kilt to parking lot. My family and patrons walked on a small island patch of green grass bordered by a cement curb east of building. I can predict someone stumbling on this location since it is the shorter most direct path to lot. Technically walking across a street to and from the venue. Some drivers appear to be going 20 – 30 mph when the road in front of restaurant is clear of pedestrians. Yes, stop, look and listen. There are drivers who are looking at their smartphones observed. Anywho…Our table was right next to the long communal table heavily seated with male testosterone. Server introduced self. Since we have young gentlemen in training. Our server had finesse when greeting us and taking our orders. I told server I wanted more heat in Old Salty Dog. My request was satisfied but the glass was not rimmed with salt as last time. Remedied quickly and a proper apology. Was offered to replace drink if not approved by me. I felt the drink was good and would order it again with extra heat. The Tilted wings and sauces were on point. My favorite of the night was grilled with Guinness BBQ sauce. The sauce is applied after grilling but not caramelized. Probably to not burn the grill. I appreciate the char flavor. It reheated OK in microwave as leftover. By 9pm, the kitchen was out of Olde Dublin Irish Stew. So DH ordered Classic Fish and Chips. It didn’t look the same as photo. The batter and potato chips(requested to substitute french fries) was fried to a dark brown. DH ate it because still hungry. There was nothing golden. Had chips here the last time and it was perfect. Not this time around. Left a note on receipt. I can’t really say if our food came out quick. The serving temperatures were good. We told our server we would order a few plates at a time. We were slow pacing to make sure we had good hot food through out our visit while watching the game. Our server did check on us frequently. Ice cold beer on tap was served to DH’s approval. Never flat or warm. I’m hoping the taps will stay CLEAN. Once bacteria enters, it’s the end of awesome beer. We received water on request. Earlier ordered mozzarella sticks and parmesan garlic fries. The batter to moz was dark and dense. The cheese was deflated inside. Our boys eat mozzarella sticks in other restaurants. This one was a negative. Did not tell server. Is what it is. Probably would not order again. Find calcium source elsewhere. The parm gar fries, again fries not golden. They were brown. The frying oil needed changing or the temperature was too hot. Not sure if I’d try again. So everything fried was not on point. Something with the oil… When the Hawks would score, loud blaring train whistle filled the room. A few TK ladies would approach the table giving high fives. Our table received none but no matter to me. Not all TK ladies have the same work ethics. Does it depend on the clientele? Some TKL sit down and talk to customers when taking orders and to follow up. I observed one guy sitting alone not receiving equal service. He had to hail a TKL for napkins when it was obvious in my line of site that he ran out. Same guy, his server never generated a conversation. He did get a high five, only because he kept his hands in the air until a different TKL arrived to return the«ten.» Our last visit, didn’t get a high five. Is it part of the experience? Idk. Fun for me to see. My husband with his wandering eyes said he saw a guy by the long communal table being more close and«handsy» with the TKLs. It was not in my view. It didn’t draw my boys attention since their young eyes were glued to sports. There are several male staff on the premise. So far there were no men out of line. If the female workers have any concerns about patrons, I’m assuming there is a protocol to follow. When leaving the table some time before 10 pm, our server was kind to comeback and say goodbye. It wasn’t the same at the exit. Three Tilted Kilt Ladies staring at something on the podium. That’s plain ignorance. Need retraining in restaurant courtesy.
