Service Master

I heard about the company but I was surprised when I found out how poor their customer service is. If they cant provide good customer service they cant be «Service» Master and deserve to lose potential customer right over the phone.

Terrible customer service. Terrible service in general. For a company that says it offers «emergency services,» their ability to manage their business when an emergency strikes is horribly poor. I was hung up on, spoken to rudely, told three different stories from three different people, and in the end, I was never called back to set up an appointment. They clearly don’t want people’s business.
When there was major rain on a Wednesday to Thursday in late April, our basement flooded, as did many people’s around us. I called Service Master for their flood clean-​up services. Obviously, I understood with this type of massive emergency, response time may be slow. The first customer service rep I spoke to was actually great and assured me someone would call me back by that evening. When I hadn’t heard anything by 5:00 PM, I called back and the woman was extremely rude. She told me that no one would be able to call me back until tomorrow morning and she’d add me to the list. When I tried to explain we were already on the list and the gentleman I spoke to that morning said someone would call me back that day, she said there was no way he could have said that and that I could expect a call in the morning and then hung up on me. I tried calling back and kept going to voice mail. At about 1:00 PM the next day I called back to tell them that I was told I would receive a call that morning and didn’t. Again, I was rudely told there was no way anyone would have told me that and that I would just have to be patient and someone would call me back soon. I NEVER received a call back. Out of the other companies I contacted, one called me back Friday and the other called me back Saturday (and I had called them later in the day on Thursday) so I’m not really sure why Service Master couldn’t have done the same.
