It’s a pretty small pool packed with camp kids. I would say that it was definitely not $ 13 worth.

Usually not too crowded, great variety in the pools. Grown-ups can swim laps in the lanes reserved for such activities, kids can stay in the zero-depth section to slightly deeper. Separate pool for diving and the water slide, plus a splash pad for the non-swimming toddlers. I wish the slide were more open than just every other safety break.

I would rather come here and pay than go to a free pool at the Chicago park district. I came here by myself on a hot Wednesday. The pool wasn’t that crowded and I was able to lay out and relax in peace. It probably does get very crowded on the weekend. Since I’m not a Skokie resident I had to pay $ 13. I’m not sure if you can bring in coolers, but they do sell snacks and drinks. Too bad summer is over =/Until next year!

This is the calmer and quieter of the two Skokie Park District pools. It’s easier to find parking because it’s just overall less packed. Also, k it isn’t as large as the Skokie Water Playground. A lot more little kids come in packs with their mother’s, babysitters, etc. There’s a snack area off the poolside and a kids play area on the opposite side. The main pool starts off VERY shallow and gradually gets deeper. The only slide that they have is in the back and the water in that pool is just about 12 feet deep. They also have a diving bored located on site of the slide pool. Again, LOTS of lifeguards on duty. It’s a lot easier to swim laps here than at Skokie Water Playground because of the smaller crowd. If you want to plan a birthday party for smaller kids, this might be the better pool for it because it’s not as chaotic. If you have bigger kids the Skokie Water Playground is usually more popular because there’s more to do there. Same deal as Skokie Water Playground with safety breaks(15 minutes every hour), and admission is slightly less at Devonshire Aquatic Center.
