Tried Bova for lunch and it was good. Decent prices and serving sizes. The panini, side salad, burger, and homemade chips, were all flavorful and fresh. They serve beer and wine, so this would be a great place to meet with friends for dinner.

Looking for pizza, ate here on a fairly busy Saturday night with wife and two teenage girls. Ordered three pizzas and teas. Spent $ 8+ on the drinks. The girls and I had one refill, my wife none. Disappointing. The pizzas were good. Thin crust, good toppings, no complaint with the food other than I was still hungry after eating my 12″ pizza(and I’m not a big guy). Had a coupon that came in the mail for a free spinach dip appetizer. Our server said that we couldn’t use it because we didn’t order an entrée. While this was technically correct, it’s a little crazy since my 12″ pizza cost more than a lot of the«entrees.» All in all, the food was ok, but if you’re hungry, I would not go with a pizza. The service could be better. I waited tables in my youth and I have pretty decent(low) expectations, but I do like to have my drink refilled at regular intervals. The next time that I want pizza, I will go someplace else.

Guinness on tap… always a plus. Mozzarella sticks. They tasted pretty good, but they came from the freezer, and do you know how I know this. They were still cold when they brought them to us. We made mention of this to our waitress, she took them back to the kitchen, and they microwaved them and brought them back to us. Not a good thing. Not a good thing at all. My wife had the eggplant parmesan with a side of spaghetti(served without a twirling spoon). She liked the spaghetti but was not fond of the eggplant as it was too chewy. I had the lasagna with an Italian sausage link which was really tasty… a generous portion with a good amount of spice to it. The caesar salad was layered instead of tossed with light dressing and red onion(on a caesar salad?)…and the potato soup was spicier than I expected(in a good way.) I’m not inclined to go to a 3 star on this one, maybe a 2.5.

We brought our daughter her for her birthday dinner and let the waitress know…“we don’t have any cake or anything”. The food was mediocre at best. Service was slow and we waited for drinks for at least 15 min after we received our meal. We had a coupon for up to $ 8.00 off and they only took $ 5 off the bill. When I questioned the manager he said, «we can give you whatever off we want– check the coupon policy». We won’t be back.

This used to be my favorite lunch spot, but the service the last couple of times has been mediocre at best. The food is still good though. Our waiter never checked back on us after delivering food. I got up twice and asked for a water refill. He walked right past us with a water pitcher but was too engrossed on the television to notice our table needed service. He then stood around by the drink machine, watching tv. No eye contact as he mumbled and seemed like he would like to be anywhere but Bova’s. This is the 3rd time I’ve had similar service here in the last few months. Either hire female waitresses that can service patrons with televisions nearby or get rid of the tv’s!!!

We shared a gluten free, rustico pizza, which was delicious, a homemade key lime pie slice, one of the best I’ve ever tasted. BUT we also had a caprese salad, which had(unnecessary) red onions and cucumbers and I couldn’t get over the fact that an Italian inspired pizza place did not have anchovies as a topping choice.

I haven’t tried everything but what I did try will keep me coming back! The server was knowledgeable and extremely friendly!

Today was my first visit to BOVA for their Sunday brunch.(For the record I am a frequent visitor for lunch and dinner). I was not disappointed! I ordered the shrimp and grits(there are 5 different offerings), and was blown away! The dish was perfect! My 18 year old son enjoyed his eggs sunny side up with country ham, grits and toast. The service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. There is nothing that compares in the Golden Strip /Five Forks area

BOVA is a great place to go with your family on Friday night. If you get in before 7pm you shouldn’t have a wait-after 7pm you may be waiting outside as it is a little cramped for wait space. Although the pizza is very good with a great variety of toppings, I really enjoy their other menu items like the chicken marsala(get it with garlic smashed potatoes) and lasagna.

Always one of our favorite places to eat dinner. Bova just started doing brunch recently. Tried it out this morning and we weren’t dissappointed. My fiancé had the messy biscuit with fried chicken, cheese, and sawmill gravy on a biscuit. He considers himself a «gravy coniseiur» and ate every bite of his brunch(and the remainder of mine). I had the southern shrimp and grits. This has country ham and red-eye gravy. The owner came over and asked if I had ever had red-eye gravy, and to give him feed back on his. It tasted like my dad’s. So good! The grits were delicious too Not runny or gloopy like a lot of breakfast places Service was great as usual. We will definitely be back every Sunday to try something new!

I have been twice. Both times very disappointed. From the outside, it looks like a great place to eat. Nice menu, clean inside, convenient. But unfortunately, the food is sub par. Worst Italian I have ever had.

I’ve dined at Bova a couple of times. The atmosphere is bright, open, and pleasant, but it does suffer slightly with the shopping center plaza feel that is all too common. The first time I dined, my husband got an italian hoagie with chips and I tried their brick oven pizza. The hoagie was really good– generous meat, fresh warm crusty bread, fresh greens, and just enough italian dressing. The pizza was good-thin crisp brick oven crust(which is my favorite). The toppings seemed a little sparse and the flavor somewhat bland but they certainly offer many pizza choices so I will try a different pizza next time, also need more fresh herbs and spices to rank up the flavor. On our next visit I tried one of their many pasta choices. The noodles were over cooked, the sauce was too greasy, and again the dish seemed bland. My husband again tried one of the hoagies and said it was great and was very pleased with his dish. I’m certain we will be back. The service is good. The sandwiches and pizza are good. They have good beer selections and great bar service.

Seriously, nothing special(at least mine was very ordinary). I got the seafood pasta in a cream sauce. Now let me first state that I very rarely add salt to my food — but if it were not for the salt, parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes I added in copious amounts to the sauce, it would have been void of any flavor. With that said the shrimp and babby scallops were cooked just right. But, the water like consistency of the flavorless«cream» sauce is what I will remember about tonight. However, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her parmesan encrusted grouper in a lemon butter sauce. One taste of that made me seriously whish I had ordered that instead. Perhaps next time I will sample one of their 23 specialty pizzas. Service was spot on and the prices are reasonable.

Received some coupons in the mail and decided to check them out. My husband and I were not disappointed. We both ordered pasta dishes, which came out promptly. Service was awesome. Can’t complain about our experience in the slightest!

great brick oven pizza. have never had a bad pizza and I think I have tried them all. my favorite dinner however is the pasta with the beef medallions and gorgonzola cheese. I get that at least twice a month. only complaint is that I wish they were a little less expensive. but don’t we all wish that with every store.

Used to love Bova. Now, have been twice in 2 weeks with terrible experiences. Took us over an hour to be served last week. When we asked for bread or our appetizer to come out they brought us 3 pieces of bruschetta toast, for 5 people at our table! Then, of course, our apps came out at the same time as our meals! Tonight, it still took an abnormally long time for our food to come out and both the paninis were cold?! What a disappointment. This used to be a nice place for the five forks area. Now, we’ll have to venture farther down woodruff rd…

I“ve eaten lunch here numerous times and highly recommend it! The salads are incredibly fresh, including what I believe to be homemade dressings. My favorites are the Spinach & Pear and Rustico. Pizzas are delicious too and they have one of the best crusts in town. The Bruschetta Burger is also worth the drive across town!

Great family food w/excellent Italian menu and open atmosphere. But not too noisy… easy to have a normal, casual conversation at your table. Well rounded from wine/beer to a few sports TVs to kids menus and large tables. Nice neighborhood eatery that’s easy to reach.
