The Squirrel Tree Preschool & Child Care

When I first researched home preschools/​childcare for my daughter 6 years ago, I did quite a bit of interviewing and visiting of facilities. «The Squirrel Tree» kept surfacing at the top of my list, so I signed my daughter up and have never looked back! Four years ago my son started attending there as well. Both children absolutely love it! In fact, I hate to admit it, but sometimes they don’t want to come home when I pick them up! This is a real preschool with circle time, a math center, reading center, etc., and there is never a dull moment! The children are always engaged in a variety of age appropriate activities. Tammy also offers parent conferences in which she gives guidance to parents on how to deal with any issues that a child is having. Her philosophy on childcare is logical, loving, and impressive, so it is without reservation that I give a well deserving «5 stars» to «The Squirrel Tree»!

I am very particular about childcare for my children. Last year I discovered «The Squirrel Tree» a home daycare and preschool in my community. There are other centers nearby that would be ok for my children, but it’s my opinion that Tammy Rusnak, the owner and operator at The Squirrel Tree, is one of the most highly effective E.C.E. (early childhood education) educators in the area. I can recommend Tammy and The Squirrel Tree with a 5 star rating. My children love going to school every morning and as a parent and E.C.E. educator myself, I’m confident that my children are safe, enjoying themselves and learning all the important lessons in life and kindergarten readiness they will need.

Our 3 kids have been going here starting in 2007. Imagine a place where kids can be kids, learn valuable life lessons, and eat healthy nutritious foods. This would sum us the squirrel tree. We get a lot of credit for our kids’ behaviors but forget to sometime thank Tammy and the squirrel tree. It really does take a village to raise a child and we are glad Tammy is part of our village. We really could not recommend a child care or preschool more.

What a great place for a kid to play and learn. My son loves it here. The backyard is a kids dream come true. We have been bringing him here full time for over five years. Owner Tammy is and has always been so helpful when we needed help or advice. She is great with the children. Takes care of their physical, mental and emotional needs logically and lovingly. She is so good she trains other daycare owners too! Oh, and she holds great parent conferences! Very informative.
